A few days had past since Sailor Requiem's induction in to the Blood Moon Court as a Mercenary. She was no longer a cadet, but an official member. Of course, that came with its price. In the process of induction, she was branded - forever marked as a member of the Blood Moon Court with a crescent moon. She was able to choose where she was branded, and she chose to be branded over the scar that Tanzanite's arm had left on her, right on the undercup of her right breast. It was decision made as an act of defiance to not let herself be marked by the past of what Tanzanite had done to her and her family - her life. A symbol of how the Blood Moon Court had helped her through those times, had become her family, and healed that emotional wound.
The pain had been excruciating, but she had been putting on plenty of ointments to null the pain, although it was still rather tender to the touch. In the the process of induction, she also had to reveal her secret identity to her mentor, Eternal Sailor Nemesis, who she had looked up to long before joining the BMC. So much had happened in the past few months since she became a Senshi. Devi Gellner had experienced a great amount of growth, but also felt weaker than ever.
Only a day before her recent induction, she was faced with the great disappointment of failing to fulfill her plans of revenge against General Tanzanite. She had come so filled with rage in their encounter that she had attempted to kill the General, only to be stopped by Ares at the last moment. In a way, she was grateful for being saved from becoming a killer, but was angry with her inability to seek revenge. So instead, she released her fury on Captain Wolframite, beating the one-eyed boy until she realized how weak the boy she was beating was. Overwhelmed with guilt, she broke down into tears.
Emotionally, the young Senshi had been all across the board. Her parents had left the town, but in their absence, she had found a new family: the Blood Moon Court. They were her family now, they were the ones who supported her and comforted her in her times of desperate need. They helped her grow so much in the short time that it had been, they raised her into a brand new woman. She was no longer the weak, afraid girl that hid from danger. She was no longer debilitated by her fears, but instead learned to embrace them and give her strength. She learned how to fight and how to defend herself. She will no longer be pushed around by the world.
And her family, the Blood Moon Court, was to thank. The members of the Court were her mothers and fathers, and brothers and sisters. She still loved and missed her true parents, but she no longer needed them. She had something much more meaningful - a new family that she feels just as bonded to without genetic ties.
