She had fallen into unconsciousness upon their leaving, her head falling to his shoulders. She hadn't woken up yet, her body on the cold floor of his den. She had been murmmering in her sleep, her feet twitching. The wound on the side of her head had stopped bleeding, as did her tongue. Blood had dried on her lips. Her speckled body otherwise was unharmed.

The flowers that once were being plucked had been abandoned and found by her pride. A few petals stuck to her here and there, where her sweat had made them cling. She winced in her dreams.

He curled upon a rock in the gloom of the den, looking down at his captive. Things at the pride had gone far easier than he'd expected. Part of him wished there'd been at least one guard to fight. It'd been too simple to slip in and make off with one of the females. And not just any female. The mortal mate of a god. Hmph. Well. At least she was attractive to look at now, with her face speckled with blood and twisted in the nameless fear of her dreams.

His glance shifted to the dead thing lying in the corner. He'd killed it after depositing her here. He had no fear she would escape--the cave sat atop a sheer cliff. If she fled, she would fall, possibly to her death. Watching her writhe had pleased him a while, but now he was bored. He snarled at her, the glowing rivers of lava under his skin flaring and sizzling, hissing like snakes

oko snapped her eyes open at the sound of a snake. A snarling snake with glowing fire around it. She attempted to get up, only floundering her paws for a moment; as her wits caught up with her. She lifted her head slowly, her ears flat as she licked the dried blood from her lips. Her eyes did not seem to register anything at first, but they focused in the darkness and they focused on him. Her eyes widened at the sight of his true form, the fire and lava dripping from him. She wasn't terrified though. Apperanes didn't affect her very much anyway. Looking around, her heart began to sink. She was in a strange place. A cave? THe air smelled different here... very different. No grass. No flowers. Nothing but air and... rock....

"Wh-" She started to speak. "W-where am I?" She asked lightly, her body trembling for she could guess the answer.

Oho, yessss. Fear didn't feed him, not like real hate, but it stank wonderfully. He breathed deep and slithered down from his perch, all muscles and crude grace. "I told you, Pet. I'm on a mission. You are in one of my dens. A captive. Hostage really. Your blood and the flowers at the entrance to your den...your dear sweet god-mate will be on your trail soon enough, I am sure." He licked his fangs. "And once he's here? Well then, my pet, we'll have a dinner fitting a god. Not like that pathetic leopard there in the corner. That, I'm afraid, is just for you. It didn't even put up much of a fight..

Nana sat up on shaking legs, taking in everything. She looked more and more panicked as he spoke, her body trembling more and more. She stood, her back legs wavering slightly. "I... I..." she couldn't think of words to say. Just fear. She didn't know where she was and neither did Primitus. Not yet anyway. He'd find her... and... as the words felled the gods mouth; she let out a whimper.

"No... please!" She murmured. "You... he wouldn't fight you... he'd... he'd." In her head, 'DIE' crossed her mind. He was a god of many lives. He had been killed over and over by his brother... and now another god was after him. She looked ill. Casting a gaze at the dead thing in the corner, she grimaced and turned away from it, slinking to be against the cave wall for comfort. "I don't eat other predators..." She said softly, her eyes shut and head leaning against the stone.

"He is a pathetic god! Leadership!" He spat, burning pitch, to the ground. It sizzled and cooled into a black stone on the cave floor, stuck ot it as firmly as if it had been welded there. "He is the kind of god that is good for little more than feeding true deities!" He roared at her. He hated these gods of the new world. Bowing and scraping and living like mortals. Mortals were the whole reason Mkodi had turned her back on the world. The gods should be ruling them, not...not living with them. The only thing mortals were good for was spawning seer children, who would be snuffed out when they'd served their purpose.

He paced, fuming and ignoring her for a long moment. Finally his eyes snapped back to her, and he smirked wickedly. "You don't eat other predators...THAT, my pet, was NOT a predator. It died. It was my prey." A dark thought came to him then. Seers...they were useful, but only got from mortals... "As will your mate be. Unless..." He snorted and kicked at the corpse. "With enough hunger, even the most revolting meat will make a meal."

Nana shivered under his voice, her body falling to lay fully against the side of the cave. She trembled, her eyes shut. It wasn't true. Primitus was strong and brave and was better than any other male ever. She shook her head slowly side to side, her ears flat against her skull now. What ever was dripping from him was sizzling and it scared her more. Unnatural, so unnatural. She squeezed her eyes shut as his talking turned to roaring; and she covered her head with her paw.

As his voice fell slightly, talking about the leopard, she peered over at it with tears in her eyes. It was like an unspoken law... do not eat other predators. "You don't know him..." She said quietly. "You don't know how capable he can be.

She was afraid of him. She should be! He hated her, and had kidnapped her, and was either going to eat her god mate, or worse. With a snarl he stomped down hard on the leopard's head. There was a sick crunching, squelching sound, and he turned to her, licking a pinkish gunk from his claws.

"Oh, but I do know him. He is like any other god who has forgotten his place. He is fallen from grace, from Mkodi's sight. He is WEAK, from denying his godhood. For YOU he has become weak. And for you, I will kill him. And then, if he is reborn as weak as he is now, I will kill him again." He stalked up to her, hooking a claw under her chin and forcing her head towards him. "If I must, if he remembers you in his next life, I will have to kill you too. Though...perhaps..." Her fear thrilled him, he admitted. This was how it should be. Mortals should fear gods. Should tremble and submit to them. "Perhaps, my pet, you can convince me to spare him. Now eat." He shoved her from the wall to the leopard.

Nana watched him move over to the leopard and squeezed her eyes quickly as he stepped on its head. The sound made her stomach flip, her throat tightened and she wanted to puke. She bit her lip in an attempt to ignore the sound of him licking his claws. He wasn't untrue, he had given up most of his god life to be with her. Though he didn't have too... she would have understood.

When his claw hooked under her chin, she began to tremble even more as he forced her to look at him. The sight of him... was extremely frightening. "Convince..." She murmered, as she was shoved towards the corpse. She stood before it, staring down at it and squeezed her face into a grimace. "I... I can't.... I am not hungry..." She said, sitting down before the leopard, staring at her paws with shut eyes. "And I have nothing to offer you. I am a nanny... Nothing more."

Pathetic. For an instant he was tempted to kill the female then and just be done with it. Mortals were just more work than they were worth. Too timid to even eat each other, even if by refusing it might cost them their own lives. Pitiful. He snarled at her and lumbered to the maw of the cave. He bellowed, and a few stones and dirt shook loose from the cave's roof.

He wheeled on her and snorted in her face. "A nanny. A cubsitter. Why would a god choose you? You must have SOMETHING you can offer...Surely you have had your mate's cubs. You must know of seers." He hated this blunt way of doing business, but this wimp of a woman wasn't getting it. And who knew. The god might arrive sooner rather than later. That'd be fine, but he'd decided to get everything he could out of this. "I was not referring to the food when I said you must convince me, Pet."

Nana could not see him moving but could hear him moving away from her. She took that moment to turn around and observe the cave better. From the apperance of it, there was more rock outside of it... which was a bad bad sign. When he spun around, she startled and flinched. "Because he loves me." She said simply, holding her head a bit high. "And we have had children yes..." She stopped talking and began to look ill. She looked away, it was obvious she had caught the jist of what he was meaning.

Seers.. yes... I know of them.. All my children were seers because of their father..." She said quietly, looking anywhere but at him. "I-I... I for the safety of my mate... I can.. I can..." She couldn't get the words out.

His lip curled in a half-snarl, half-grin. Yes...he would have what he wanted. "You mortals are all the same. Worth little, but with one service you can provide to gods. Your service to the causes of a true god...a god who would see the world remaid as Mkodi wanted it...yes, I think that may sway me to spare your weakling of a mate when he comes for you."

He didn't mean to make good on his proposition yet though. He yanked his claw back, dragging it throug the fur of her chin in the process, and leapt back up to his ledge. He slid to his belly, and simply watched her, eyes smoldering. His legion of seer-warriors would grow. Soon enough he would have plenty to be able to see everywhere and everything at once. He bristled, thinking that that power was denied the gods. Still, at least it was simple enough extorting what he wanted from these dumb mortals.

Nana couldn't keep her tears back any longer. They began to brim on her teal eyes, as he drew himself away from her and hurt her chin. She shook her head, lowering it. Oh the shame. She felt such shame and regret at this moment. She had no choice. She had no choice but to give him what he wanted. Even without Prim at her side to say yes. "He will come for me... he will come..." She said. "and he will not be killed or eaten. That is the agreement. i will..." She paused to maintain herself.

"I will have your children." She said quietly.
