 Many things could be said about the day, for instance, how the sun shone brightly through newly green leaves or how sweet the wind tasted in one's nostrils- but! This particular stallion had no desire to notice any of these things. It was warm enough to be active outside, with no threats in the area, and that was enough for the kalona to relax and forget about whatever it was that had led him down this path.
Like an animal the kalona stallion wandered with no real destination in mind, moving from place to place depending on where he could find food, shelter, or other accommodations to fit his very simple needs. For that's what Dalkar was, simple. He had no real purpose for being here today, no more than he would tomorrow or the day after that, and he certainly had no real plans of moving on to anything specific. Despite this lack of direction, the kalona was currently keeping to this one spot he had found to be particularly comfortable. Lodged between a large rock and the trunk of an ancient oak the kalona had taken it upon himself to lay down for a mid-afternoon nap. Probably not the brightest of ideas, but Dalkar never was one for thinking things through.

 Florian was taking in every detail the day was bringing from the way the sunlight warmed the earth to tiny green buds growing on the branches. Spring was welcoming season that Florian couldn't want to witness and now that it arrived, she didn't want to give it up.
To Florian, Spring was her favorite season. Everything was about becoming refreshed and renewed from the previous winter. Not only that, but everyone seemed to be in a pretty decent mood. All the forest critters were out cleaning out their burrows or taking in a breath of clean, fresh air.
The young mare was doing just that. She wasn't really traveling in any where in particular as she just planned on enjoying the weather. There were a couple puffy clouds in the sky but not too much to block out the sunlight. There was a gentle breezed that tickled through her mane and tassled through her tail, but nothing too strong as to disturb the wildflowers that bloomed in the various fields.
He rosey cheeks blushed as she paused for a brief moment. The woodlands here were filled with life. Perfect amount of shading from the trees and patches in the canopy for sunlight to peirce through. The air wasn't thick either, but had a distinctive scent.
She licked the roof of her mouth as she continued nonetheless wondering what the day would bring her. A blossoming smile formed on her lips as Florian hoped that more sunshine and happiness was happening for her in the near future.
