Satine and Schmee had let a male into their territory named Gamma. They had gotten along and he was a great addition to their home but he had brought a girl with him and she didn't seem well off when it came to fighting....actually she didn't seem to know how to fight in the slightest. And Satine couldn't have that. Her and Schmee planned on having kittens again soon and they needed someone there to help protect them and if this woman was staying here she was going to protect her children. She would need to know how to protect her own too.
Satine stood in the garden with her two katana blades. She was in shorts and one of her old corset tops. She was stretching out as she waited for Taylor to get here so they could start. She was going to go easy on the poor thing, hopefully she picked it up fast.

Taylor had met with Satine and Schmee a few times and while they seemed nice enough, it was pretty obvious to her that they had dealt with some of the scarier things in life... as well as very protective of each other and their children. Which in all honesty she couldn't blame them for being that way... and was sure that if Gamma or any of their future children were threatened she would do anything in her power to protect them. And at the moment that wasn't a whole lot... and was secretly a bit thankful that Satine seemed to want to take an interest in helping her despite the fact that fighting scared her more than she wanted to admit.
Taking a deep breath Taylor entered the garden, her whip in hand. She was wearing a black tank top and a pair of stretchy shorts that were usually worn when she was working out. "Sorry about the wait Miss Satine... thank you very much for taking the time to help me today."

Satine knew that Taylor was a little weird around strangers and would be kinda shy. And it didn't help that eventually Gamma would be fathering kittens for her and Schmee she knew the other would probably be weird around her. She smiled when she looked over at her as she walked into the garden. "Oh Taylor you can drop the Miss part i don't need to feel older then i am." she said with a smile as she nodded. "Your welcome. Join me in some stretches and some yoga before we get started. You need to be limber or you might pull something." she said with a smile.

"Of course, I'm sorry about that... the idea of fighting is making me a little more nervous than usual. But I really do appreciate you taking the time today to help me since I will need to know this sooner than later, and I can't hide behind Gamma forever and expect him to protect me." she replied with a little bit of a sigh, setting her whip on the ground for a moment before starting to stretch and warm up.
Naturally Gamma had told her about fathering kittens for Satine and Schmee when their relationship had gotten more serious. At first it had surprised her a little bit but at the same time she had given it some thought before there was any kind of hope for a real relationship in her own life. Every once in awhile there was a bit of jealousy that crept in but said nothing of it to anyone else... jealousy wasn't something that was like her and was honestly disturbing to her. It would all be good with time, figuring it was just a phase she was going through. Maybe if she got good enough at fighting it would give her an outlet until these feelings got sorted out at another time.

Satine looked at her and smiled as she lead her through several yoga poses and stretches. "I'm glad you want to learn. Its helpful to us to have more people who can walk our territory and keep it safe. I know we feel better with the kids home to know that you and all the others here can protect it. I know you both are probably going to want a family at somepoint and that Gamma will be giving us another chance at having a family. It will mean alot to me to know you can protect it as well as Gamma does." she said as she lead her into some more yoga poses.
When she was all warmed up and made sure that Taylor was all loose and warmed up she smiled. "Have you ever used a knife, dagger or sword?" she asked as she looked over the woman's whip. "I have used one so i can help you a bit with your whip but its not my strong suite." She said with a bright smile as she tied up her long red curls.

Taylor looked a little worried for a moment as she glanced down at her whip with a bit of a sigh. She'd chosen it for the reason that she wouldn't actually have to slice anyone up, but still provide some kind of protection with a bit of a range to it. "No... I don't know how to use either. I've never liked the idea of drawing blood, and I know whips can do that but I never intended to do that with it." she replied with a bit of a heavy sigh. But gone was the time for having qualms about things and Taylor had a feeling that Satine wasn't going to accept that as an answer right now to not take up learning to fight with a blade.
"I can try fighting with a dagger or maybe a small sword I could handle."

Satine smiled at her and nodded. "Ok a dagger it is." she said as she pulled one off the strap on her thigh. She smiled as she pulled a second and offered one to Taylor. "Now the trick is to remember where the tip is all the time so you don't hurt your self." She said as she spun the one in her hand daftly and flipped it into the air and caught it with her free hand. "Remember to watch your self but remember whos around you all the time so you don't hurt an innocent. Get used to that in your hand carefully and then we'll move onto aiming ok? And how to throw it with enough force to hit and do damage." she said with a smile.
