All right, so I'm having a bit of a dilema. You see, I have a veeeeeery close friend, Haylee ( User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

), who shares practically every interest that I do, and we get along great. For a short time, I've known that I care more than the friend level for her-- I'm going to ask her out. The thing is, I don't know how I should do it. Well, not so much as how as to when. I have two options, which I will outline below.

Option A:
I turn 18 on March 12, and she on March 7. We've planned to go skydiving during spring break, which (for us) is a couple of days after my birthday. We planned on going just the two of us, too.
Advantages:
-We would be both be 18 and high-spirited from the rush of the said skydiving.
-We both love the rush of said activity formats.
-We would be alone, doing something we love.

Option B:
I would ask her this week, before Valentine's Day.
Advantages:
-We would be together sooner
-We would be together for Valentine's Day

I'm leaning towards Option B, but I just don't know . . . Can you help? If you vote, please give your reasoning, too. I want to hear the opinions of others, which is why I'm posting.

I say go with A. It sounds better. Yah, V-day is a romantic day but eh.. I suppose it's just typical. I dunno, I just like the first idea better.

(sorry if my point sucks.. it's 7am and I didn't get much sleep last nigt sweatdrop )

But you know, it wouldn't hurt to drop her a hint on V-day. Just send her a card with little hints or something and sign as a secret admirer (sp?). Every girl loves romance and I think that would be cute. Then on the day of the skydiving, after you have your fun, just kinda get serious with her and tell her who that card was from. whee

Ooh, I really like that idea. Though, the secret admirer may not work-- she'd probably know who it is. I mean, I could always do it that way playfully . . . Hmm . . . Ah, it's so tough. I want to do this right, start off on the right foot, you know? I've never felt such a strong connection with someone before, so I'm really eager do things the best way.

Yah I understand. I dont know what avice I can give you other than that. I mean, I've only been in 2 relationships, this is my second. Both times I was the one that made the move. The first was on V-day and I gave him a present.. then I asked him out later that day. Then with my current girl, I was just kinda straight foward.

Im sure you'll figure something out. So dont worry yourself over it. You're a nice guy you'll do fine. 3nodding

So, we changed plans for spring break. Instead of Sky diving, which would cost about $200 for a single drop, we decided that we'd rather do something that would last longer and we'd be free to do whatever we wanted.

We're going to Mexico.

A road trip together! The perfect opportunity!

THanks a lot! Stop to think about your signals that you send! Because of what I was reading from her, I asked Haylee out, and it turns out that she just liked me as a good friend . . . note the tense-- it's all really awkward between us now.
