District 1

District 1 is the capital of Asgard. All Government business occurs here. All of the factories(there aren't many) and the main market can be found in District 1 as well.

The only single family home in District 1 belong to the President and Vice President. All other housing is in the form of Apartments. More motorized transportation can be found in District 1 than in any other District.

The Main Market is the only one where items requiring a government trading license can be bought and sold. (Not that people always obey this law.)

Most workers and market stall owners live in other Districts, with a few exceptions. The main population of District 1 are of the Government, Military, and Scholar class.

Jormungandr River

This river snakes around the entire planet and is well protected as it serves as the main source of water for Asgard. The parts that flow through the districts are used for water and fishing, but outside the districts the river is untouched. The roads over the river that connect districts are bridges so as to not disturb its flow.

Niflheim Dessert

A waste land where only the toughest animals can survive. The government takes care not to disturb these creatures when they mine for resources, which they mine as little of the desert as possible. No race has the adaptations to live out here, save for the desert dwelling beast-men.

Ymir Mountains

A small mountain range just outside of the districts. Like Niflheim their is mining done here but to a small extent, and is carefully overseen so as to not disturb the mountain to much. Many ores gems and metals come from Ymir as it is rich in these items, allowing the miners to not have to dig to far or to much.
