Pirato'Alto – Buffy_the_Bloody
&
Kyouko – Das Tor
Now and again, Kyouko tended to take to the areas just beyond the borders of the Matembezi, to get away from everyone and just...enjoy the quiet. Or to find something familiar. Like the cave she was currently in, while outside it poured. Of course, it was raised up from the dirt a bit, so she didn't need to worry about rain dripping in. But she'd have been in it, even if it hadn't been raining...she'd Seen it before, and she wanted to know which little bit of vision was associated with it. It was one she knew was Future, one of the few times she could sort it out from Past and Present, and that it involved...red eyes. Very intriguing red eyes.
The adolescent sighed and stretched out, then shook herself. Oh it was dull waiting. And she'd forgot to bring some of her salves to work on. A shame...perhaps a nap would do. Yes. A nap would do well, until she heard someone. Curling up, the blue and black lioness settled to wait in dreamland for what was to come.
The rain had seemed to come out of nowhere. It made him bristle a bit, but water wasnt anything he couldnt handle. He lived on a beach, safely away from the water but close enough for comfort.
He needed water in his life, otherwise he was sure he would die quite quickly.. and not from just the dehydration, but from sheer sadness. He hadnt had any of the fruit the others had been eating,
and it were times like this that he wished he had. He knew better, what was wrong with a little buzz anyway? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Or at least, that was what he thought.
The red males coat became dark, almost the color of thick blood with the rain that soaked it. His eyes barely visible when the normally thick and loved mane fell and formed around his muzzle and cheeks.
Looking like a washed up rat, he decided it was best to find shelter.. but where? The cave wasnt hard to find, the lightning that flashed lit it up, and even though the thunder had terrified him, he had still
noticed it.
He ran, something he tried not to do..ever.. He ran to that den, and leapt inside, happy that it was off of the dirt enough to keep him from getting more what than he was. Once he had made it inside, he sighed.
Thank god.. He was going to be able to dry off.
Kyouko started when she heard other paws on the stone, and a new, wet smell greeted her nose. Blue ears pricked up and forward as she turned her head to the newcomer. Huh...normally, she wouldn't be more than polite...but she was likely going to be stuck with him until the rain let up. "You look like you got caught out there a little too long." Her voice was gentle and quiet, but still easily heard.
His head whipped around, likely whipping a trail of water in her direction. He shook his body, sending water everywhere before he soothed and looked at her once more. He smiled, an apologetic look in his eyes when he saw he had thrown water in her direction.
He really would have preferred to be alone, that was until he saw the shiny gleam catch around her neck. His eyes instantly were caught on the piece of metal, and they grew a bit wide, but quickly he blinked and chuckled. He couldnt exactly sit here and try to
take her loot whenever he was stuck here with her.. Hed save that until they got out of here.
"wha-?" He started, but then shrugged.
"Just water, pet. Me and me crew have dealt with far worse. Storms that caused entire tsunami sized waves. That, is an adventure." He said. Tall tales were just his fashion, and he usually always had a good story thought up for any situation. Maybe if she turned
out to like him she would just -give- him that pretty trinket. Until then though he needed to try to train his eyes away from it.
The female ducked her head to avoid as much of the water as she could, still getting a little wet. Oh well...she could deal with it. She looked to him, catching the apology in his eyes...and his eyes themselves. OH! She knew those eyes! She'd Seen them! That meant whoever she was supposed to meet here was already here! Perfect!
"A tsunami? What's that?" That was a phrase she was not familiar with at all, but sounded...terrible. She sat up fully, head tilting to one side, curiosity in her dark blue eyes. She seemed oblivious that he'd eyed her necklace.
Oh great, now she was asking him to explain. Well.. he could come up with a good story, he was sure of it. Thinking for a moment, he smiled. He had it.
"Tsunami be a wave that is made from the tails of crocs. They slap those tails down on the water, and it washes over nearly bout everything!" He said with an
exhuberant nod. It was easy to believe him if you didnt outright know he was making it up.. He was very smooth with his stories, and he never stammered while
telling them. He assumed it was just because he was superb with others, however it was likely more because he was just a smooth liar.
"So whats a pretty thing like you, doin' in a dark den all alone, miss?" He asked, looking her over appreciatively. Even sober he could appreciate a pretty female.
Kyouko blinked, and seemed to believe the story. "That...sounds most vicious." She wrinkled her nose. "I never much liked crocodiles to begin with, but for them to do such a thing..." She gave a delicate 'hmph'. She was suddenly rather glad they ran into crocs very little.
"I came in to escape the rain, myself. It's nice, but since I didn't need to be out in it, and there's lightning about...I thought it best to stay inside, where it's safe and dry." She giggled lightly. "I certainly wasn't expecting company, but I won't turn it down."
She was certainly accepting of his advances, and so he was comfortable around her for the moment. He sauntered over to her, and flopped down next to her as they spoke. He might as well be comfortable if they would be here for awhile.
It was pleasant to run into a female who would talk with him, rather tan insult his intelligence. He wasnt the smartest of others but he certainly wasnt stupid. He had a method to his madness, or so he liked to think.. He paused, and then
when there was enough pause to make him feel mysterious, he grinned.
"Dreadful beasts. Should be wiped off the world, they should." He nodded, agreeing with her. He didnt really like crocs either. They had a vicious bite and an even less tolerable temper. He let his tail sway, and it flicked her gently in the
foreleg.
"So.. Do ye have a name, pet? Or can I call you whatever me black little heart desires?" He asked with a chuckle.
Kyouko nodded. "The watering holes and lakes of the world would certainly be the better for it." She'd cared after too many crocbites, in her opinion. "Ah! Do forgive my lack of manners." She smiled softly. "I'm Kyouko. And what might your name be?" He was rather good looking, now that he'd dried off a little. And he was certainly nice to talk to.
He wasnt to really have manners, and usually he was a drunkard who liked nothing more than being completely out of his mind. He liked that feeling,
and the intoxication was like no other feeling in the world. Still, best to not make himself out to be the total drunkard he was.. He smiled at her, and it
was a cocked half smile. She smelled sweet, like flowers that were covered in the morning dew. He couldnt help but feel the pull of desire within him, but still
he refrained..Though he didnt know how long he could.
"Aye, thats good. Otherwise you'd be flat outta luck, eh, pet.." He said, not realling asking a question though it definitely could have been one. He yawned, his
fur starting to fill out more made him feel a tad more comfortable. Sure he probably smelled like a wet dog, but then again.. well.. he couldnt justify it he was sure he
just smelled like a wet dog.
Kyouko giggled. "Indeed. And being out of luck would certainly be no fun." She moved so she was closer to him. "And you haven't answered my question about your name~" She gave him a smile that was somewhere between sweet and...almost seductive.
He purred, letting her come closer as he enjoyed the females company. He merely liked females, so so long as she was kind, he would enjoy any females company. He watched her smile, and he liked the things that it could be promising.
"Pirata'Alto, though I be called Pirato quite often." He responded.
"Pirato~" The name rolled off the tongue nicely. Perhaps this odd feeling stirring in parts of her was why she had to meet him. The odd feeling that expanded when she said his name. "It's a very nice name."
"Why thank ye ma'am. Its a pleasure, Im sure." He grinned, and wondered if he would maybe be able to have a piece of the young thing before him. In fact it was heavily on his mind. He tried to look away, but he couldnt really hide the look in his eyes.
"Ye have lovely eyes."
Kyouko smiled, all invitation this time. "Your eyes are rather nice as well." She lowered her voice a little, making it more 'friendly'. "It's a bit chilly in here...perhaps you might be willing to help keep me warm until the rain passes?"
He walked over to her, headbutting her gently with a low purr. Nibbling her ear, he chuckled, and lay down beside her. He was willing to keep her warm, that and much more.
"Only if ye be doin' the same for me." He grinned.
Kyouko giggled and leaned against him, purring. "Most certainly, Pirato. It would be rather ungrateful of me to do anything less!"
