After the incident involving the fake prince in Elysion the child found herself sleeping normally again, and although most citizens of Destiny City were most happy about that, this child was not. Mister Birdy and Big Kitty, her dear and nameless friends, were only existent to her while in Elysion. She knew they existed outside of Elysion, they just had to, but she had never met them here. Elysion as a dream, and for all the child knew her dear friends might not even be from this country. Regardless, the child wasn't thinking entirely straight. She missed them so much and finally, after many hopeless nights of not getting to Elysion the child decided she had enough. She would not go to sleep this night until she found them. She henshin'd up and soon found herself roaming the city in search for her animal friends.

Where would she find a bird? The child thought about this very hard on this. It was very important and she couldn't waste time. She had to get it right. She looked at her partner, her bunny, for answers. She asked the bunny a very important question, "Where would you go if you weren't with me?" This question was important so she waited a moment before she raised him to her ear so he may whisper his answer to her. "The park? Great idea!"

It definitely was a great idea: how could she have not thought of that? Of course a bird would be very be safe up in the trees, and there were more trees in the park than anywhere else? However, the child didn't take into consideration that there were many parks in the city and she spent quite a while deciding just which park to search. In the end, she just picked the one closest to her home.

The child got to the park and she skipped over to the tree in the middle of the park. It was a big tree, thick and tall. The child looked up, gazing into the depths of the branches and leaves. She would climb it, yes. She would climb it and up in the tree she would find Mister Birdy, possibly napping at this hour. The thought pushed her forward and after carefully setting Thanatos at the base of the tree she began trying to claw her way up the tree, one slipper'd foot at a time only to get an inch and to loose footing from the lack of grip on her slippers. The child hadn't considered perhaps there was a different tree, an easier one to climb. No, Mister Birdy was definitely in this tree. The tree just didn't want her to get to him!

Tree 1 | Hypnos 0

The child would not give up though, and this time she tried a running start. She took a few paces backwards and ran forward, trying to leap into the tree! She got up a little and held on tight to the tree with her arms, slowly trying to get her bunny slippers into a groove. Success! Or so she thought, and as she tried to move her hand up to make progress she began to slide right back to her feet.

Tree 2 | Hypnos 0

"Mister Birdy!" the child called, hoping to perhaps call him down the tree to her.

Unfortunately, there was not even a rustle in the leaves and the child considered that Mister Birdy was just in a very, very deep sleep. What a surprise he'd have to wake up with her sitting up by his nest, wouldn't he? It would be a wonderful surprise, and soon the child began working on it again. It might have helped if the child had thought to take her slippers off first, but the child started trying to climb without a second thought. She started with her hands, gripping tightly as she slowly and difficultly climbed up the tree. It was a bit of a surprise but the child actually made it up a bit, with her feet completely off the ground now. Of course, the child hadn't considered what she'd do when she started climbing, having never climbed a tree before, and quickly found out why.

Tree 3 | Hypnos 0

It was hard and she wasn't even remotely close to a branch. Not to mention it was too dark for her to tell that she was only a few feet off the ground and that she wouldn't fall to her death if she just let go. She didn't want to fall, but her grip on the bark was beginning to waver as her hands began to hurt. She didn't want to fall and she didn't want to give up so the child was stuck in a standstill as she tried to hold on and climb at the same time.

"Aaaah!" was all she was able to whimper.

Life after the fight for Elysion had been odd, to say the least. Now fully awakened to his powers and responsibilities, Quail's Eye was slowly adjusting to his new life in Destiny City. Like being an exchange student wasn't challenging enough, now he was Guardian of a dream world as well? Some days he wondered if he was still dreaming...but no, he knew better than that. This was his sacred duty, and he was going to have to learn as much about this city as he could if he wanted to be able to keep the Priestess safe.

Tonight the small bird had wandered it's way to the park, luckily the very same that Hypnos was searching through. At first he had been doing a simple fly over, on the lookout for anything strange. Strange he received, though not in the manner he was expecting.

Senshi up a tree? Senshi he -knew- up a tree? Senshi calling for Mister Birdy? ...Awhhh.

Landing on the ground, the bird shifted into a larger (though still amazingly short) form. A humanoid one that now stood right below Hypnos, arms held out to catch her.

"What are you doing, child? Come on down...I'm here, it's safe."
The form wasn't the same, but the voice was easily recognizable as that of her bird friend.

The child was determined to get up to the tree to find Mister Birdy, determined to no longer wait for her dreams to bring her that desire while longing direly for her dearest friends in bane, when she heard a familiar voice. A voice that pinged at the depths of her heart, pulling on the strings and causing an excitement to build. Come down? Certainly, but it was not in the preferred method as the child's excitement distracted her long enough that she forgot she was even climbing a tree and slipped out, falling into Quail Eye's open arms. She thought she was going to fall and hit the ground painfully but it was like a dream. She didn't get hurt and her first guess was that a prince caught her.

She made a squeal and looked up at the unknown figure, staring intently as the dots began to connect. She didn't know this man was by his appearance but her heart thumped as she realized appearances were not a boundary that would stop her from being with him. Nothing was in her way now. She had found him! Her lips began to curve as her brain connected the dots to her heart. She had found him! Her arms quickly found their way to his face, checking to see just how real he was, her voice soft as she whispered, "Mister Birdy?" as she looked for that confirmation.

Quail's Eye caught her, laughing softly as the child reached for his face to see just how 'real' he was.

"Yes..mister birdy. Quail's Eye, or simply Quail. Whatever name you want for me will work, but it is really me. What is it child, did you think I could only exist in dreams? I assure you that while the dreamworld is my home, it's fields mine to guard over, I exist in your world just as much as anyone else. The others do as well, in case you were worried about that as well."

He held her for a moment, allowing her to look over her dream protector a bit longer before setting her gently on the ground.

"Are you okay? You didn't hurt yourself looking for me now did you?"

It really was her Mister Birdy! She remembered him fondly from many dreams and now she had finally found him again. The only difference, and most important detail to this was that this time it wasn't a dream! He was real and he was really here. She just knew he was real, she knew it! She couldn't have been happier that she found him, but not only that, but he had also told her his name. She remembered asking when she first met him, but she had gone unnoticed. Her Mister Birdy was Quail's Eye.

"I thought I'd never see you again. I wasn't able to go to back, I wasn't able to look for you anymore," she said meekly as she was finally placed onto the ground. She didn't know what she'd do if she was suddenly unable to find Mister Birdy or Big Kitty anymore.

"I'm okay now that you're here," she admitted.

"It had to be done, Elysion was in grave danger, and the only way to protect it was to force everyone out. I'm sorry I couldn't come find you sooner, but I promise you we are all okay." The boy gave a gentle smile, his size seemingly childlike but his words sounded beyond his years.

"Now that you've found me, how about we spend some time together before we part ways for the evening, how's that sound? Just don't worry, you'll never really lose me. I'll always be close by, in your dreams." Quail walked a few steps, motioning for Hypnos to follow.

"How would you like to pass the time this evening little one?"

Ainsley understood. She was happy they wouldn't have to fight to protect their homes anymore. She could remember how upset Big Kitty had been, and the pain Mister Birdy had gone through trying to protect his own home. Their fight was over and they had made it out safe, and for that she was glad. She would be happy about that no matter what, even if it meant finding her dear friends had become much more difficult.

"I would love that!" She replied to him, quickly scooping her bunny up before her legs moved to follow him in the direction he was heading. She didn't mind what they did, really. She was just happy to be able to see him again, to spend time with him again! Not only time together but safe time together. There was no one around to hurt him or her this time. She smiled, looking towards the back of his head before she hurried to his side.

"How about we do something you like!" She suggested.
