Rukongai
District of "Bowing" Spirits

The vast lands immediately surrounding the Seireitei are known as Rukongai and is the residential place for most spirit-beings which enter Soul Society. Rukongai is divided into Three hundred twenty individual districts with eighty districts in each of the four navigational directions. Consequently the further one is away from the Seireitei the worse the living conditions, fights are a constant worry in Rukongai, thieves and beggers make their living, in accordance with the "caste" system, the poor people of Rukongai would be the lowest while those living directly next to the walls of the Seireitei would be middle class, finishing off with the "rich" class, considered to be the Shinigami.

Due to this seemingly unfair situation, the people of Rukongai are generally unkind to Shinigami and disapprove of their presence in Rukongai, very few attempts have been made to throw down the Shinigami by the people within Rukongai, though despite their failures in the past, this fact has never stopped them from trying.

Things were looking a bit grim at the moment, however he was not without his own plans. As always, he was always a step ahead of this chessboard known as life. Everything single person on it were merely pieces that needed being systematically moved in specific places in order to get most of his goals accomplished. One thing he had not expected was the higher ups to show up so soon. Usually they had waited until the Captains could no support themselves any further in battle before they arrived. However not a single captain had been damaged yet, and they were already on the scene. This was probably noted due to past invasions such as his own from two hundred years ago. Ever since those days the Seireitei had more than likely beefed up their security levels exponentially. For their sake he could only hope they maintained this level of defense. It took approximately thirty minutes for him to reach the Rukon District gates. Once he touched down, he would take a last glance at the Seireitei's formation before continuing on. "I see." He said taking noticed of the sekkiseki walls. They were glowing brighter than usual. The kidou corps must have enhanced it with kidou to heighten it's effects to such a degree. Just from merely exiting the Seireitei, he could feel a great resistance tugging on his being. It was probably more than likely do to the fact that they had just began powering the wall up. Had they made it through a moment later, leaving physically would have even been out of the question. Taking this into consideration, he glanced in Koto's direction. "We're going to use your zanpakuto's ability to escape to the Dangai." He said before turning towards Dyan who seemed a bit disoriented since the entire series of events. "All the answers will come soon." He reassured the newly transformed vizard before glancing towards Koto. "We're far enough now. Release the portal." He commanded before folding his arms.

... Aerin's first stop to look for his goal to became Vizard. The person would likely be training to attain his goal, but that didn't seem to be the case there. He did, however, come across a person who captured his interest. Kazei wore armor, which was very out of the ordinary for anyone, especially a shinigami-vizard. He had heard that a person like that would be joining the Vizard groups at some point, and it seemed this must be the Dyan. He seemed really quite strong, which was very good. "Ho there, you wouldn't happen to be the addition to the Vizard groups, would you?" he asked from a safe distance. Of course, that distance wouldn't be safe for too long. "Well, I would like to join with you and train me how to became Vizard, please?" He asked to Kazei if he can train Aerin or not with his hands in his pockets.

"The lost bird returns to it's nest only to stir up trouble again. Not even a word of greeting for those who helped raise him into what he is now, for all his chosen faults." From around the corner of the residential buildings stepped out a lone elderly figure, but not just any, oh no. Of course it would naturally have to be Yataruma Yamagashi, former Sotaicho and mentor of the current trio of would be escapee's. "You were always one for mischief, oh the problems you have caused. Then again, some cycles are just bound to repeat themselves." As he spoke, his eyes became distant, unfocused, as if he were once again living in memories of past deeds long since gone. "But now here I find you, recruiting it seems no less. How unlike you. Normally the moths go to the flame, but it seems the flame itself is hungry" His ancient eyes slowly turn towards the betrayers and traitors of the group. "Zero division no less, such a same. It was bad enough to have one traitor there, but now two. Such a bad look it will be for the Soul king." His eyes once again turned towards Kazei, his grip tightening around his sealed zanpakuto as he began to slowly advance towards the group."Know this, no one shall leave this place so long as I stand."

In one fluid movement, Old Yata went into action. His body suddenly crouching low as he placed his hands over his sealed Zanpakuto. "Judge by steel, Koushaku no Metaru Enkai," As he spoke, the staff with in his hands shattered, revealing foot-and-a-half long wakizashi with a steel-colored sheathe and a stained brown-gray handle. The cross-guard and pommel both appear to be made of rusted iron, worn and broken from misuse and an uncaring master. This couldn't be further from the truth. The condition of the blade is set in stone, despite the constant care Yata pays to it. The somewhat jagged, rectangular cross-guard has always been cracked and somewhat askew. Bringing it to his mouth he quickly snapped his neck to the side causing the zanpakuto to shatter into rust, only to become one again in the form of a long rusted and beaten naginata. Along the back of the jagged blade, various rings hang loosely, looking as though they may fall off at any one point.

With out giving any further warning, Old Yata swung his broken weapon towards the group of would be escapees createing a massive cloud of rust, shrapnel, and broken debris to appear and speed towards them. He was not finished with just that though, as he completed his initial swing, he took a side stance and in once fluid movement pushed out his right hand as he announced in a booming voice. " Bougyoudo! 56. Area of Silence!" With a pulse of spiritual energy, a field spread from his body, enveloping the immediate area in a dome. With in this dome the traitors would notice that they would no longer have access to their Kidou spells, all that they would be left with is their Zanpakuto skills and hoho.

㊍Daichi Nagano...

8th Division Captain...
╚═══════════╝

▂▃▅▆Take root... Sekai no Ki▆▅▃▂

Daichi appeared just behind those he was pursuing just in time for his eyes to go wide. Why were the Judges so quick to respond to this invasion... were they expecting it... or had them simply decided to try and defend Soul Society. Regardless, the 8th Division Captain decided he would still do his duty and help Yataruma in any way he could and he hoped some of the other Captains were following behind him.

"Yamagashi-sama... I'm here to help."

Daichi had to admit to himself, he was terribly intimidated by the man, more-so then any of the other Judges, and with that intimidation came incredible respect. He hoped one day to get to the level the Judges were at, to become a Judge so that he might protect and uphold the Soul Society one day, just as the Judges of today did. For now though, he was a Captain, and he was going to operate and maintain his responsibilities. With a twirl of his wrists, Daichi spun his staff, Sekai no Ki letting in fly in the air before catching it expertly in stance, waiting for his opponents to react to the older man's attacks so that he might strike in kind.

".......Erase their faces; Erase their names....."

On a building a safe distance away from Yata and his abilities a single portal would open. This portal would be the same one he activated in the white castle. It would be in front of Koto, hiding him from their sight, and facing the battle. Behind this portal would be none other than Koto himself, which was of course only known to Kazei. He was very careful when entering the area to avoid being caught in the silence at all.

Being a former second division captain Koto was more than skilled in the art of passing by undetected. It was a simple task for him to move by without giving off any sound. Using Suterusu # 72 - Rei Yume (Ghostly Dream), he was able to pass by without being noticed or interacted with by anybody in the area. This was because the aforementioned ability completely masked Koto's reiatsu signature; it also caused his body to become invisible and transparent while active. Upon deactivation he times the use of another ability: Suterusu # 32 - Toku (Hide), which would continue to make his reiatsu undetectable.

It was then that a single portal would appear behind Kazei which he would either step or fall into; nothing but Kazei or Dyan would be admitted.

Kazei only let off a small chuckle at the Zero Division Captain's request. It was amusing. To see that this man had betrayed everything he once cherished and protected for such a selfish reason. "You betrayed you kin for this? Worthless." And with that he had declined Aerin's request. The only way he would gain hollow powers was if the Imperator deemed it so. Just when when he thought the day couldn't get any brighter, a familiar voice would bellow from around the corner of the residential buildings. Turning a glance in that direction he would spot his former mentor. The one and only former Sotaicho, now Central 46 Judge, Yataruga Yamagashi. Things were getting even more interesting by the moment. He was one of the last people he would expect to see in this situation. Well at least not so early under these circumstances. But business was business after all. Kazei felt the Bougyoudo spell release it's effects around the environment, however Old Yata knew as well as he did that this type of spell had no effects on Kazei. It was simple. Kazei was not a practitioner of kidou, and nor did he bother immersing himself in it's arts. He was the more physical and melee type, much like his zanpakuto. As the cloud of rusted steel plummeted towards him, he had no choice but attempt avoiding it's line of fire. Suddenly in that instant a portal would form behind Kazei. He knew this technique all too well. It seemed as though Koto had already activated the ability of his shikai. Kazei stood in the face of the rust cloud as it drew in closer. The moment it reached eyes reach, Kazei would let himself fall back into the portal. However instead of escaping, he would redirect his course inside of the portal and be transported through the portal Koto had exited from. One arm would seep from the portal and grab Dyan before yanking him into it. A few seconds later Kazei would step forth from the portal. "Hmm. So it's that type of party eh." He glanced at Yataruga slyly. This had been the first time he had known Old Yata to take help from fellow shinigami in a battle.

Kazei had never known the man to rely on others when it came to his own battles. Even in the past central 46 incident. Despite the circumstances he faced back then, he still ordered his shinigami from the domain. But today for some reason it seemed as though he were going to accept the help of this Daichi. "I see. So it's that type of party. Looks like someone's lost their honor over the years." Slowly he released his dual zanpakuto from it's sheath before pointing them in the direction of the central 46 Judge. "Sit Upon the Heavenly Throne. Let there be Light." With that command, Saiketsu would become encased in crimson light before emerging as two twin broadswords. "Let's get down to it." He vanished from where he stood before reappearing in front of Yata with both dual zanpakuto raised. The right was arced diagonally for the judge's chest while the left was thrust forward for his throat. However just centimeters before the right could connect, Kazei would mutter two words. "Jougen Lunetsu." In that very instant there was a white flash of blinding light followed by a super high densified frequency beam of light that had been produced from the edge of Kazei's right blade. The beam took the form of a white crescent moon outlined in crimson light. It's size was fifteen feet in length and eight feet in width. The beam was super high density in composition, making it very heavy and hot as a result of so much light condensed into one area. It's edges gleamed hotly and vibrated at great speeds, resonating at approximately twenty thousand vibrations per second as a result of the super high frequency force it consisted of. This technique was difficult to block because of the magnitude of it's cutting power which was enough to eat through the strongest of materials in Soul Society.

"

... Aerin was shocked out which had Kazei denied his request. "So, you have denied my request? Very well i will find a way to turn being a Vizard or whatever. But don't worry about that I understand you had a reason and I will help you and I will hold Daichi as long but if I will be dead by them. My guess is you don't care about that. " He quickly noticed Daichi and Old Yata showed up passively on rukegouki, anticipating the entrance of someone who could fulfill his death. He approached and placed the palm of his hand on his zanputako then shoulder to draw his attention although he was rather certain he already was aware of his presence. Daichi and Old Yata did share a common bond as they both could perceive beyond the extent of the normal shinigami. While he himself used his eyes to see each particle of existence, Daichi came to help Old Yato and used his other senses to form his world and vision. As that entered his mind he could not help but feel they were connected in some manner. He certainly would aid this shinigami in any way he could. Aerin is near Kazei and guard him while noticed Kazei already used his twin zanpukatos against Old Yata.

"Hello Daichi, fortunately how about you and me like Captain 8 Squad and Former Captain 8 Squad?" This was not true of course considering he was already backlogged with work. He simply did not feel the need to worry the shinigami or cause him any reason to hesitate in kill or threat him. "Now I think it is best you gain your footing once more so you can show me that talent of yours."

".......Erase their faces; Erase their names....."

Stepping out from the portal Koto sighed, realizing what was actually going
on. It appears they had a fight on their hands which was something he really wished to avoid. This was not because he was weak or afraid but quite the opposite. The mysterious Vizard grew up being trained to kill as a samurai; he knew battle inside and out, more so than almost anybody he encountered. It took a vast amount of chaos to cause Koto to make his appearance in a battle. This appeared to be enough, as Koto placed his traditional gas mask over his face. All Samurai used to wear something similar into battle to ensure their safety. The mask protected them from all forms of poison, toxins and harmful substances while purifying and cleansing the air they breathed. Koto had modified this mask as the years passed, although it was evident that this has been his original mask.

While calamity and chaos ensured in front of him his expression barely changed. He had not been serious in quite a long time and this arrogance had irritated him. One thing was for sure, if the Samurai was serious, then it would not end well.

"Aerin..."

He said with a smile on his face that seemed almost sincere. It appeared that Koto has sympathized with the High Marshall enough to act. In an instant his image has blurred to a ghostly figure which lasted no more than a few seconds. Before even Aerin knew what was to occur Koto landed beside him placing a hand on his shoulder. Once the hand made contact a calm, settling presence would make its way in Aerin. Was this process required in creating a Vizard? Or perhaps it was something to keep him safe? It appeared that only time would tell.

"Be calm, everything will be fine."

As quickly as Koto appeared he was gone again, leaving little to no time for reactions. This was possible because of how he landed his Tatsujin Shunpo; by landing on the balls his feet, Koto was able to chain two Shunpo together simultaneously. The mysterious man would appear on another building, a safe distance away from Aerin, the Eighth division captain and the silence. His cautious distance was of course only a precaution. The elegant yet mysterious Vizard would seem calmer than Kazei, and of course more reasonable. This may lead Aerin to reason that Koto did in fact mean well. If that was not enough, he may remember the speech Koto made about intolerance.

There was a blur of movement behind the zero division captain, followed by a hand that was placed on his shoulder. "It's been a while Captain Ike." Aerin would more than likely remember this voice. Not to mention it had been ages since someone had probably called him by that name. But this woman was probably one of the selected few that remembered this man by this name. "Moving underneath a different identity I see. I guess after being promoted, you've forgotten where you've come from." She sighed in disappointment. To see that her former captain had been condemned under such shameful circumstances was somewhat disturbing. "So I hear you've betrayed Soul Society." As she spoke her right hand would tickle the hilt of her zanpakuto as she slowly removed it from it's sheath. Although disappointment could be heard through her words, there was also a hint of coldness. She had no problem killing traitors, not even if they were former comrades. "You were always weak in my eyes. The day you coward out when I challenged you for your position was testament to this. However you did show compassion and loyalty to your people, and so I was willing to overlook your flaws. But it seems I have made a mistake." Her zanpakuto was fully drawn at this point. "I should have relieved you of your position and killed you that day, and maybe then we could have avoided today." She grunted before raising the zanpakuto over the zero division captain's head. Her left hand was still gripped around the man's shoulder. The woman's spiritual pressure would began rising in the area, causing the air around herself and Aerin to become tinted with tint of indigo. "Deteriorate." With that her zanpakuto would become covered in a dark smog would thicken around them. Grass would began withering away, and any residential buildings around them would corrode and crumble in sections as the smog flowed into the area. A large 34 inch naginata would be revealed as she finally released her zanpakuto from the cloud of smog. The spearhead was covered in what seemed to be small maggots that squirmed along the edges of the blade. More of them seemed to be pouring from it's tip as she pointed towards Aerin. "It's time for me to relieve you of your existence." She spoke plainly before jetting the tip of the Naginata for Aerin's neck. As she pushed it forth, she would squeeze the handle causing the pole of the naginata to extened. Meaning even if he dodged, he would still be in attack range as a result from the zanpakuto's length. As it closed in for the man's neck, more maggots would spray out from the tip.

'Damn this no good brat!' That is more or less the line of thought which would be racing across Yataruma's mind at this given juncture in time. You spend time raising them and look at what they do! Naturally, given that Kazei always goes for blood at the start, he would have to make the gap unnaturally close, at high speed no less. Years of training the brat did well to prepare him enough for that. Upon Kazei first appearing before Yata, his first given impulse would be to hurry and back away with Shunpo, the second being to to strangle him punch him senseless, the latter would of won out in the long run. That would of been the plan, if not for the fact Kazei decided to go for the kill right from the get go. As Kazei brought about the first of his blow, yata would steadily side step it, but then came the feint, followed by the diagonal slash and it's immediate arcing beam. Once again, Yata felt surprise as well as contempt for his former student. Given the positioning of the two, Yata would have no real time to put up a proper defense, let alone a counter. So he settled for what the situation best called for. Enduring the storm for all it's worth. With a grunt of more then apparent discomfor, because getting cleaved in two is such a wonderful feeling, Yata placed his Koushaku no Metaru Enkai between himself and the beam as best he could. Knowing full well his weapon would not stand up for long against the energy based buzz saw, he decided to go for something unreasonable. Concentrating his spirit power to his feet he soon left the ground and with that lost any ground he might of been able to hold onto as he was swept back and away by the energy buzz saw. As he was pushed back through the air by the cutting energy, Yata pushed back against it with his Naginata, putting distance between both his body and the beam. Once he felt himself set he gave one hard and final push back against it, channeling his spiritual power through his body, and momentarily forcing the attack back just enough to give himself time to air slide his way out of the direction of the attack.

Not giving himself anytime to recover from his fresh chest wound, Yata began air gliding about, using short bursts of Shunpo and Air glide to build momentum as he would start rapidly jabbing his Koushaku no Metaru Enkai through the air. After each jab, clouds of rust, debris, and shrapnel would form and fly like in a straight path towards where Kazei stood, for however long he happen to choose to stand there. Knowing him, not very long. Despite this, Yata continued his barrage, never stopping to pause or consider the grievousness of his own wound, his mind and energy focused entirely upon his former brat of a student. He knew, somewhere in the back of his mind that his body would not hold out at the rate it was going, but he would hold this one. Too much has been unsaid quiet yet to simply let him go about as he pleases.

╚═══════════╝

▂▃▅▆Take root... Sekai no Ki▆▅▃▂

Daichi listened carefully to the Zero Division High Marshall. Honestly, the 8th Division Captain was thinking... it was obvious this man was a traitor to the Soul Society, but it almost felt wrong to try and kill one of his predecessors. Regardless, he had a duty, and while the interaction between Aerin and the Vizard who he had recognized only through stories, he saw no apparent change in who his opponent was, so he prepared to make his move... until his own lieutenant appeared, and was apparently threatening Daichi's own opponent, which he was honestly horrified by. He had heard the rumors that said once upon a time, she was a Captain in another life or some nonsense. It was true that she looked similar to Daichi's immediate predecessor, but he wasn't convinced. As far as the 8th Division Captain had been concerned she was his lieutenant, and that was about it.

Considering all things, Daichi was certain his lieutenant was about to get tossed aside like nothing. This was a High Marshall, and while Daichi could fight on the same level as Aerin, he doubted Elika could do anything more then prove an annoyance. Instead of trying to fix the situation with words, Daichi jumped forward, planed his staff into the ground as a kind of vault, and launched himself in a spinning strike toward Aerin. He had no pride in fighting an opponent two on one, but right now he didn't have a choice, he had to keep his lieutenant alive, even if she was uncontrollably brash and head-strong at times, and even a bit of a sociopath. When Daichi was in striking range, his staff neared the former 8th Division Captain's head and threatened to hit it with a sickening crack to the jaw.

His eyes narrowed as the man struggled against the force of the Jougen Lunetsu. For this man to guard against a super high densified that resonated with super high frequency force with only his chest and zanpakuto was truly something. The edges of the beam moved at forty thousand vibrations per second, radiating enough cutting force to slice even the strongest materials asunder. For this man to have simply guarded against it with his chest and blade was an incredible feat to accomplish. "Hmph." He smiled with somewhat nostalgia. This was indeed the old mentor he had always known. However the time had come for Kazei to close the gap in power that had always divided the two. He would demonstrate here and today that even the strongest shinigami such as a central 46 judge could be struck down." As the man moved through short bursts of shunpo, Kazei would raise his dual zanpakuto between himself and the the old man's sword thrusts. Where he would deflect against one jab from the old man, he would gather reiryoku into his second zanpakuto before fanning off a wave of pressurized air that would send the rust flying back at the old man. However this would not last long. The time it had taken him to gather the reiryoku to create the pressurized force was starting to cost him damage to his body. The jabs were starting to land their targets. Some of them had already dug into his armor while some had completely pierced through, causing small stab wounds in the vizard's abdomen area. Had it not been for the plating of his Light Armor, the damage would have been much more severe. In that case, it was time to crank things up a notch. "Gaozouken." He muttered before bringing Saiketsu down upon the old man's own blade. Sparks spray out from in between the the clashing blades as he slammed his own weapon into the old man's. However this was no ordinary strike. Upon the impact of the first strike, a secondary phantom strike mimicking the force of the first strike would course through Kazei's blade, causing the old man to be forced backwards. The attack was known as Gaozouken or Phantom Sword. A zanjutsu technique capable of producing an additional blow mimicking the first one behind one's sword. This strike was known as the secondary strike, or phantom strike. "Tell me something. The reason you're fighting me. Is it because you're taking orders from a higher power. Of course there's always a higher power in every hierarchy"

Surely Yata new what he was referring to. He was referring to the lynch pin of Soul Society. The very cornerstone that is said to hold it up. The Soul King. Kazei was the type who fought for what he believed in. "You take orders from a source that you will never meet or see. Yes, but who will you fight for when the Soul King is gone? Soldiers fight for kings they've never even met. They fight when they're told to fight, they die when they're told to die. To die following some fool's orders...hmph." He nodded his head in dismay. The very idea seemed dishonorable. To live a life protecting something you could never meet nor understand. He could speak on this for days, however there was a time and place for everything. Much like this battle. The timing was a bit too early for it's time, and it's place only jeopardized the lives of innocents whom had nothing to do with the battle. "No need in continuing this meaningless battle, at least for now. Besides, I'm sure you could do without the blood of innocent ryoka on your hands old man." He said before reverting Saiketsu from shikai mode back into it's sealed state. Glancing to the side, he had noticed the Lieutenant of the eight division enter the area. It had been two hundred years since he last saw her. She had been involved in the shinigami infiltration mission that were charged with the purpose of sniffing out a certain vizard from the Oracion Church. Judging by the vast change and increase in her reiatsu, he could tell that the woman had grown more powerful over the last two hundred years. He was a bit surprised that the woman wasn't captain over her own squad at this point. Two hundred years was far more than enough time for a Lieutenant to train and reach the level of captain, or at least stand toe to toe with the ranks of captains. By the looks of it, the eight division's actions showed otherwise. Judging by his movements, it seemed as though the man lacked confidence in his own lieutenant's capability. It was true that those with who were new to their lieutenant positions held the power of just that...a Lieutenant. However this woman had been a Lieutenant for over two hundred years. Certainly these shinigami were not retarded enough to believe that her skill level remained at the level of a lieutenant after two hundred years. It was not uncommon for Lieutenants to defeat Captains. This occurred numerous times in the eleventh division, and Aerin's cowardice towards the woman when she challenged him for his position two hundred years ago had been a testament to this. Shinigami could be so stupid these days. So quickly to judge their kin by rank alone, and not by the number of years they had held and maintained the rank.

Turning his attention back towards the old man. "Business beckons old man. I suggest you have these shinigami polished up. Next time they may not be so lucky." He spoke before stepping into one of the portals Koto had created earlier.

Ooc: Kira (Rukia-Taicho) and Aerin (Haseo Hitsome). You guys might wanna check the dates on those links. Also Aerin and Ike are the same characters, with different names. He was once the former Captain of Squad 8. Elika's character has the Lieutenant of Squad 8 for a long time, and do take into consideration that this is a 200 year time skip. You guys have seen how far the shinigami have improved in 17 months in the manga, so it would not be far-fetched that this woman has vastly improved in 200 years.
