Alasiri ducked his head into the cool water of the river that ran a few meters from his Tea Tree den, or he should say, his and Kibaazi's den..his and Kibaazi's and soon cubs. Forefathers! Cubs!
Leaving his head under for a few minutes, he thought about his situation. He guessed he'd be a father one day, I mean, that was how life was, and truly he enjoyed cubs. He'd just always thought that the first set of cubs he was a father to would be his. I mean..that was the logical way these kinds of things happened..didn't they?
Lifting his now soaked mane, Alasiri shook it, sending water spraying everywhere, the droplets scattering like his thoughts.
Not that he minded, he knew within his heart of hearts he loved Kibaazi, even if she were mated to another, and was having cubs with a different male, even if he wasn't anything more then just a friend to her, he couldn't walk away from her now. She'd become a part of him, like his paw, or his tail. He'd as sooner stop breathing then be apart from his blind lioness.
His twin would tell him he had it good...and she would be right. Sighing, he sat down by the river, trying to make sense out of his jumbled emotions and scattered wits.

Rahvu was a pretty friendly lion normally upbeat and happy. However now he didn't have much to hold on to anymore. Nothing too much felt in his life. He didn't have a mate any more his father and his mother and a few of his siblings were off in their own directions and not only that but he didn't have his cubs to take care of there was nothing left for him to worry about nothing left for him to take care of and he didn't know what to do with himself anymore.
He was heading toward the same water source he had been wandering a little aimlessly recently but he needed water so for a little while this wandering was as aimless. He slowed down as he got closer to it leaning over and lapping up some of the cool water he was trying to figure out what he was going to do with himself, he flopped down on his haunches as he thought. He knew he had to find some where to stay for the night but he just wasn't sure what but he knew that he needed to do something.
Something caught his attention as he sat by the water he wasn't sure what it was but he now needed to pay attention to it. He blinked as he looked at her before he nodded to the other lion and spoke out to him he wanted to make sure the other lion not to far from him was aware of his presense he didn't want the other male to be unaware of him that wouldn't be fair.

Alasiri's head came up when he caught wind of the other male, his ears laying flat to his head for a moment, before he composed himself. It wasn't as if his Lady fair was here, she was safe in the den and just because a rogue male was close to it, it did not mean he had to attack him.
Shaking his head to get a grip on his emotions and reign in the protective instinct, Alasiri sat down on his hunches and gave, what he hoped, was a friendly grin.
" Good afternoon," he said pleasantly, ' nice day for a change, sun...better then all that rain."
Ok, so small talk wasn't his strong suit. He had to admit it was better then saying, ' you aren't from these here parts are ye.'
Wasn't it?

Rahvu looked over at the male and smiled at him softly, he really wasn't that sure how he was feeling about the idea of company that was for sure, he flicked his hair out of his eyes and nodded at him before returning the greeting, "Hello, good afternoon." He shifted imself making himself comfortable and then thinking about what to say, he felt a little off and out of place but at the same time he was comfortable. "Well yes I agree."
He had to admit it was a little uncomfortable to be next to the male that he didn't know but he could get over it, he flicked his hair out of his eyes once again feeling uncomfortable and not sure of what to say to him. He didn't like awkward situations like this is wasn't the most fun but that was okay.
"I've haven't been in this area too long. I don't know everything around here, do is there anything around here that I should know about?" He asked him curiously not sure what else to ask him he didn't know the areas he didn't want to end up somewhere he didn't belong.

Alasiri pointed a paw behind him, " About two miles that way is a couple of hyenas, but they stay to themselves. This area here and to that tea tree is where I have my den, and of course there is the occasional rogue lion or other that comes through here. Other than that, it's fairly quite around here."
He kept his voice friendly, after all it didn't seem as if this male meant any harm, at least not at the moment.
