.:: Faith ::.
The dead world. In theories from Katorai Ancestors, Moogles suspected that Lumina used to be all one plateau- but was separated when the tectonic plates had crashed in to each other and made massive waves that eventually made them drift apart. Though, this may be- those of faith like Rev. Nouvelle say otherwise. Rev. Nouvelle had met many of the great wisemen. Seven to be exact that were in the days of old. They- spoke of the Mana Goddess. The life- the essence of all things. She- made everything, but those who have wondered had lost faith. Lost hope in creation and tried to 'explain' why things were they way they are. After their technological advances were tried, they were sought after to become slaves..to man. Using synthesis and other traits that they acquired.

::. Man vs Faeries .::
“These formless beings will eventually be given form so that they may live. They will be given the task of creating this world. The thoughts they think will shape the landscape. They will be born into this world in fear and sadness. Sometimes their thoughts may hurt this world, but you must help them build it.” - Legend of Mana; The prophecy, 12. Man were born to reproduce and populate the land. They were the ones whom were said to be the river of life. They- in turn for life would give their life to make the lands flourish. All Man were at one time magical, they could use practical magic in everyday life but many had wavered from their past lives and relied on their new technological advances to make housing and weapons. After long, they did not possess the craft of magic- and the ones that still practiced magic were called mages and used the Moogles as weapons. Faeries and other beings were made and were of prophecy. Faeries danced, and sung to the Mana Goddess to amplify the land along beings called Xio. Which were creatures that were made to be the balance of Faeries and Man.

.:: Darmia ::.
Moogles were originally small creatures that walked on all fours and flew- but had somehow evolved from their original form to walk on two legs with the influence of man. Man then raged war against the faeries that were of said to have evil in tensions. Moogles were used in the war to create stronger magical weapons and summon. The war had begun and ended in many deaths. Ashes remained … And the Mana Tree it itself also burned to the ground in the war. After the war~ A revolt was underway by the Moogles and they left the humans in their land to look for salvation. Coming in to a land they called Darmia. They remade their homes.. but had forgotten all about the mana tree's main purpose. A faerie though... from the ashes took the Mana Tree's seed and held it close. Praying to it as she slipped it in with a human child secretly on board. But the moogles would not listen to the child of the Mana Tree's greatness and became void and had no faith to steer them. Without faith their land became of ruin.. and did not prosper. Faeries had followed them- and watched as they astrayed.. They were saddened. Xio became enslaved by Moogles and were treated like dogs or horses would... Their purpose was diminished and did not revolt. The world turned dark.. as the chase for the moogles were again in the minds of Man. They all lead a life of no meaning until the faeries began their fight to regain control of the Xio. With Moogles powerful magic against the faeries magic dried up the lands and the war ended with many deaths on both sides. Xio howled long and sadly of their 'masters' deaths... Then they too ceased movement with nothing to protect.. and Serenity. The Human child was raised with the moogles and xio closed her eyes and did not wake.

:..: The Gods :..:
What was left were the elementals that cried and prayed to the Mana Goddess to give the land life once more. After many decades of prayer. The Mana Goddess finally answered and gave faint pulses. Then, with many years of beginning life again. The Mana Goddess gave her 'children'- all beings. A new image. She realized that Moogles had hungered too much for the 'whys' and were easily enslaved by their magical behavior. Man hungered for power.. faeries had become obsessed with protecting their world from ALL and enslaved Xio. Thus she created Katorai that walked on two legs and took away their magical power [ Their ball antennas and ball tails ] but more agile and physically powerful with the hope that they will again fill the land with life- but were still short and created faeries in to the world of man but made them invisible to 'man's' eye. The xio in turn were made in to Guardians that protected ALL of the land. She also created Moon Gods that would look over the land.
Tryne, merciful god of water.
Zea, passionate god of fire.
Barlen, selfish god of gold.
Libleyt, hopeful god of wood.
Morphes, wealthy god of earth.
Ghazel, whimsical god of wind.

Afterward. She went in to hibernation once more in the tree of Mana.
5.
::. Flammies and the Destruction of Darmia.::
The Gods then created many other creatures in the world.. and called the the land.. Darmia. After many other creations the Gods took turns falling in to slumber and reawakening. But when one slept- a beautiful and divine creature which were called 'Flammies' would come in to inhabit the land of Darmia. The Gods were curious but watched and as each one slept another of these creatures would appear until one of every god was created. The gods had been possessed with obsessed in out doing one another and let loose countless monsters upon the land and in turn made their hearts dark. The after the gods had lost their luster and became monsters themselves. The 'flammies'- the creatures that had were made from the gods' hibernation had watched and fought against the Gods to regain their old brilliance. Sadly they had failed and gave up hope in the Gods they once stood proudly beside. As a result they fled up the heavens. Xio- stayed battling and fending off the Monsters and other ill willed creatures as the Katorai that the Goddess had made were too small and were now at the brink of extension from loss of their magical defense against the monsters' mighty powers and became their prey. Faeries had also fought along side their Xio but ended up being either slain or eaten by Monsters. And in the end... the xio died as well.
6.
:. The world of darkness .:
The Mana Tree was burned down but the stump stayed.. with energy. The Mana Goddess had once again awaken very badly hurt.. She saw that very few had been left behind.. With various heroes that had been of previous wars were at the brink of death. At that moment she called upon the elements winds, the earth, and the waters to cease movement. That's when time stood still. Until she had regained her power she would cast the world in to darkness. All Life was put in slumber until the Goddess could breath once more.

.:: Artifacts ::.
Slowly the land began to deteriorated of darkness and the elementals in fear of dying banded together and made 'Artifacts' in which they casted their spirit and life in to. Artifacts had whole lands stored away within them to keep from dying. Some katorai that were in slumber were also stored in these artifacts. The elementals also had made holders of the Artifacts [ which were also called Artifacts ] that would no age and were made in the image of Flammies. After that, the Artifacts put the elements to sleep... until the day the Goddess would open her eyes.. Til then. The artifacts calmly awaited..
8.
::.. The song of the life ..::
All the inhabitants- from within the artifacts made them glow brilliantly..wishes, prayers, and dreams became a song.. which traveled up in to the heavens. The flammies that had fled to the heavens; heard the low song and looked down on the world casted in darkness. The flammies watched as the Artifact holders looked at their artifacts with happiness but confusion. That is when the flammies shone a light on the land.. The wishes, prayers and dreams were magnified enough to awaken the Mana Goddess. She in turn opened her eyes and looked up to see the light that the flammies made and brought life back in to the world but the flammies spoke in a low but strong tone. “This land will be called Lumina.. The land that never sleeps.” The elementals and artifacts rejoiced and were brought back to life. This time- the flammies and elementals spoke up and the Goddess in turn made Katorai that were tall and had a level of magic but would stay dormant. Xio were made in the brilliance of the flammies and other creatures were made by the elementals.. The flammies though, never came down to the land of Lumina but swore to shine light of the moons upon it. Which brought luck and fortune to the lands.. The Mana Goddess watched .. to make sure everything was full of life before she, in much need of rest from re-making the land went back to sleep..
9.
.:. The Six Wisemen of Lumina .:.
“Life can be built by your imagination.”. The elementals were happy and were very hopeful for this new land but knew that the past may repeat itself. The artifacts that stayed along side their elementals tilted their heads in confusion and wonderment. That is when the elementals decided to make the Artifact holder's apart of Lumina and told them all of what they knew. From every war to the leaf of a new tree that had fallen by the winds.. They in turn gained knowledge and power from their elements. But there was only six. The continued life and gave lessons and told new Katorai of their history [ The older Katorai that were small were soon called “Imps” by the new and taller Katorai ] . As the history was told and many came to listen and want understanding.. brought upon the “The Book of Guidance” The eldest of the Wisemen began the written book of guidance but then became very lonely as the other Wisemen left to their own devices. That is when he decided to ask the flammies for a child. One of the Six Flammies answered his prayers and gave him a daughter. She gave him a warmth that no other could image and in turn relinquished her dormant powers.

~ The Seventh Wisdom ~
The daughter of the eldest wiseman was named Lucrecia. Which grew to have a gem in-bended in to her chest. He was a father who adored his child and her love, influenced the writing of the Book of Guidance... Love. With love, life is with ultimate meaning. After decades the book became the word of all preachings and many monks followed the order. As Lucrecia idly followed, she became like her father. Lonely. In turn she used her power to give life to a rock that named himself Gaeus. She spent many days and eventually years hearing Gaeus stories.. Her father detested her from bringing anything else to life.. and was called together the other five wisdoms to kill the living rock but they declined. The wiseman was displeased and called upon his monks to dispel the rock. His heart became bitter and filled with jealousy.. Then was dragged in to the underworld by his daughter. The five remaining wisemen came together once again and spoke many words, understanding that the eldest wiseman of them had turned to darkness.. and his daughter only did what she had to do to protect the land. Their verdict was to let Lucrecia join them and became queen of the land of monks and nuns. She was known to be a great ruler. She made a school of magic and made many temples that had her father's books in. Rumored had it that she was a Goddess... but she would never speak of the subject and never told anyone how she was born. She reunited with the wiseman and asked the wisemen of Gaeus. She was answered and in turn granted the living rock, Gaeus the title of the seventh wisdom.

..: Serenity Tsuki :..
Serenity was at the bottom of the cave that Gaeus guarded and told Lucrecia. Lucrecia commanded a group of monks to get her out and found that she was suspended in time in a crystal. The only human in the lands of the Katorai. Melted away by the order of the other wisemen she was given life. A kind human and was taught the teachings of the nun. She knew things of the past as well and gave forth many other practical stuff from the days of old. Amazed by her knowledge and kindness, Lucrecia gave the thrown to Serenity and in turn went to live with Gaeus.
12.
:. Lumina .:
The lands flourish.. and the time of peace was upon them... and the flammies that watched from above shown the light of many lights for decades on end.. Now the land of Lumina made holidays and celebrations for the events past and the land prospered from then on.
