Luls, BIG O! That show does have some interesting thoughts presented in it. Ever watch Cowboy Bebop or Blue Submarine No. 6? They tend to make me ponder in similar ways.

Avoid the Pendulum Luls, BIG O! That show does have some interesting thoughts presented in it. Ever watch Cowboy Bebop or Blue Submarine No. 6? They tend to make me ponder in similar ways. well i did some studying, and the show cotains allusions to other things of interest. paradigm city is a allusion to a book us truthers would read (according to an old time truther i talked about it with have yet to read book, but book is old.) and metropolis is an old OLD highest budget silent movie in history made in germany around the ww2 era. and apperently was loaded with occult references. i have seen bebop,not sure on submarine. but ive been rewatching old anime to see if this allusion thing is in other series.

Oh, Metropolis! The dance of the whore of Babylon is used so much in our society. It is an interesting movie. I must admit to not knowing of the book you speak of.
Cowboy Bebop tends to make me think of life and how "drugs" (not pharmicutical) impact it. It's one of those shows that brings out the "what if" questions.
Blue Submarine No. 6 is a near doomsday senario. The fun part is the one who brought about distruction tends to be the one who knows most of life, of course he is insane or made to be insane. I think of it in terms of genetics and how our laboratory made species may strive and conquer over us one day, turning the Earth into an intirely new environment. It is up to the humans to decide how it all turns out I suppose.

I've never seen the original Ghost in the Shell (just the Stand Alone Complex or whatever, not a big fan) or the second and third Digimon series, maybe as a kid. I'll have to check them out.
