Clover awoke on a day that was raining. She sighed, "No class today since it's Sunday, and my homework is done... she said going down to the common room and out of the Hufflepuff dorm, and went to the Great Hall for breakfast.

Once she was done eating, Clover walked along the hall going to the Library with a few sheets of parchment and ink and quill in hand. She was little grouchy because of the weather.

She put her things down at an empty table setting it up to take a few notes and then went to look for some books that where about animals or plants that weren’t part of the text books lists. She pulled every book she could find and took them to the table.

When Serge had awoken that morning, he'd had an entire list of things he'd wanted to accomplish, none of which involved homework. However, with the downpour outside, pretty much all of his plans had been squashed. He wasn't really an inside person.

He had wandered about the castle for a while, unsure of what to do. Eventually, after taking advice from some of his friends, Serge decided that the best thing to do was homework. It was due soon anyway, and since there was a chance ( though 1% wasn't a very large chance) the weather would clear, he'd better started on it now.

Grudgingly, he made his way to the library with his bag and school-things. The library was really the best place for him to do his homework, since he was required to be quiet (well, he was only quiet when he was sleeping, but he was quieter in the library) and since none of his friends were open to chatting while there.

He was upset when he arrived, grumpy, and so didn't waste time searching for a completely empty table, and so settled himself into one that had plenty of space open, despite one of the chairs having things surrounding it, and there were a few sheets of parchment holding a person's spot, most likely as they searched for books.

Clover came back to her table with as many books as she could carry without complete covering her field of vision and the books plopped onto the table. "It should be fairly easy but then again there is the possibly of nothing getting repeated in a second book." she said to herself hushed in a sarcastic manner.

When she pulled out her chair she realized that she no longer had the table to herself. She must have sounded stupid when she spoke out loud. She however didn’t care what other’s view of her was. She noted that the boy was a Gryffindor and probably doing some homework for a class. She smirked despite of herself.

She pulled off the first book off of her stack and opened it, "What will be the next one…" she said to herself as she flipped the book’s pages.

Serge wasn't much bothered when the girl sat down at the table, as he was now completely into his homework. Yup. Nothing could stop his rock hard focus, no-sir-ee!

"O-S-S." 'There,' he thought to himself. "Serge Moss." He had completed his name, and all was boring once more. He looked over to the girl who had sat down. She was pretty stupid, talking to herself like that. Then again, all girls were pretty dumb. And gross. However, this one seemed pretty cool- for a girl. Her hair was wicked awesome. Maybe she didn't have any cooties, or whatever it was girl's had.

"The next in the stack, of course." Serge replied to her, even though he knew she wasn't talking to him. It was a smart little comment, mentioning the books, though it was clear that she was not talking about them. He wasn't certain what she was talking about, but still. "You were talking to me, right? I mean.." He shrugged, an over-dramatic gesture. "Who else would you be talking to?" He smirked a little. Homework was boring, but talking was fun. And, at the very least, this crazy-haired girl thing would be fun to talk to.

Clover looked up at him with a raised eyebrow. "The creators in the book." she said dryly showing him the picture of the beast that was inside. First years didn't have the study of magical creators class so it was she wasn't doing homework.

"I'm just looking to see if there are any local creators or nest that I can draw, without leaving the school grounds... of coarse." she explained as she put the book back down to flip the pages again.

"Oh." Serge said, frowning. Creatures in a book? He leaned across the table a bit to better see the picture. It was pretty cool looking. Serge decided he'd get a tattoo of that when he was older. Yup, to go along with his other completely awesome future-tattoos. Like an angry bear. And a fight between a dinosaur and a pair of flaming pants.

"So..." Serge wrinkled his nose, leaning back into his chair one more and flicking a small bit of blank parchment so it moved across, the off of the table. "You're gonna draw something?" That didn't sound very interesting. "It's raining, you know." Serge lifted a hand and gestured very loosely to a window across the room. "Though I don't know how you could have missed it." Serge plopped his elbow on the table and then dropped his chin into his hand. Drawing? That wasn't very fun. He himself only drew when the teacher of... whatever class, was being boring. Which was all the time, but still. Who draws on their free time? Crazy people.

Clover looked up and glanced out the window "Yeah it is. That's why I'm looking for something to draw." she said "It's nice to draw. I like doing landscapes and animals but sometimes I do some abstracts to get my emotions out." she said "It also helps pass time when watching sheep." she added.

She looked at the book and saw something "Nests...in the razor thorn bush..... I think I saw one on the edge of the forest.... Oh wow it only has it's eggs every fifty years...." she said writing it down on a piece of parchment.

"But drawing is so boring." Serge flopped his arms out from under him and his chin bumped the table. "And stupid." Her muttered against the inside of his arm. He rolled his head so his chin was closer to the girl, he could just see her hair over his arm. "But you're not doing anything. Just sitting and staring. It's almost as bad as homework." Serge rolled his head again and looked at his paper. He pushed it away from him with his chin and grabbed his quill, writing a sentence in an awkward manner, his arm skewed and bent oddly. With another part of his work finish, he tossed the quill away from him. It fluttered back down directly in front of his face.

He grumbled. This girl was boring. And since she was a girl, she was crazy. She was crazy boring. "Don't you want to do something? Instead of look at papers and books all day?" He attempted to blow the quill farther from his face, but it only scooted back a fraction of an inch. His eyes drifted over to the girl, talking to herself again, but looking quite content. How could she be happy when it was so dreary outside? And reading a book no less!

Clover heard him talk and looked back up "Huh? Grant it you might be sitting there but it's not nothing. It's creating something, Wether it be from something you see every day or from inside your mind it's still something that you made," she said after she had taken her notes of the animal she was looking at, "And that is why it is way better then homework. Though not as quick as a photo." she added.

She scoffed when he asked if she did something besides looking at papers and books all day. "Don't you?" she asked sarcasticly not waiting for an answer she contued. "Of corse I do, I like being out in the sun, where the plants and animals are, and running. But since it's raining. I figured might as well come to the Libray and look up some animals that I've never seen before." She said with a look out the window dissaponted at the rain.

Clover sighed, "Now I think it's best we stop speaking before we get shushed it's a place of study after all... I take it you are here to look something up anyway." she added as she made a cough from dust of the next created book.

Serge looked at his quill and frowned. "Still pretty boring though." He muttered to himself, glaring at the writing instrument. It was the true source of all his problems. If only it'd start doing his homework without his help, that's the kind of magic he wanted to know.

His glare transferred from his quill to the girl when she mocked him. Why were they always so naggy, and bossy? And stupid? Why did girls even have to exist, gosh they were dumb. He was ready to retort back when she had finished, telling her that animals were stupid and whatnot, because they were if girls liked them, but she started up again.

Be quiet? Him? He could talk whenever he wanted, and there was no one here who could make him shut up!

Serge turned his head quickly to look over the to librarian's desk. The lady there was glaring at him, and she seemed ready to shush him indeed. He turned back around and frowned, sending his desk-mate one last glare before pushing his body off the table. He grabbed at his quill and pushed himself far enough back that his chair was teetering on only the back legs. He stayed like that for a bit, writing out answers to his homework, before he grew bored of that and set the chair right again. In a few minuets time his work remained forgotten and his chin was once more resting in his palm, his gaze held by the window across the way.

Clover looked over at him as he fooled with his chair but only momentarily she then left it at that and focused on her the book looking at the animals that she soon forgot that the snub was even there.
