Pearl Waters is named after its beauty. The water will always seem as if pearls are floating around during the day, when the sun reflects it, as well as night, when the stars slightly shine on it. However, Pearl Waters has often been mistaken as another name. It is similar to the play-on word, "Peril Waters" due to the water creatures that inhabit it. The land Fay are usually known for their trickery, but the water Fay are often known for their ferocity. So if you are a stranger in these parts, try not to drown. Pearl Waters is also a water source for Avalon. The Fay people do not need to travel out of their territory to find water because Pearl Waters belong in their land.

Cassie sat atop one of the rocks, attention focused on the objects she held. "One more time." She murmured and began tossing the three balls of water in the air in an attempt to juggle them. "Awww." Cassie missed one of the balls and dropped, merging with the water once again. She moved the two remaining orbs int one hand and used the other hand to scoop another handful of water. After shaping it into a ball she attempted to juggle again.

Nicholas soared over the forest that would bring them toward Avalon. He had already entered into the territory of Fay Paradise, but everything was hidden by the tall trees. If one were to look carefully, however, then they would see some sort of river beneath the forest leading toward Pearl Waters. Nicholas blinked curiously below, having thought to have seen another figure in the water. Without warning, he started to descend below to get a better view. "I'm going to check something out," he grinned with a whisper to Dakota.

"Yes!" Cassie grinned, paying close attention to the three water orbs she was juggling. She'd finally done it! After a few minutes she stopped, transferring all three to one hand she scooped up another orb and began to try again. It couldn't be that much harder, right? The young mermaid was so focused on her task, trying not to let the water orbs fall, that she didn't see Nicholas coming toward her.

(Well, since "Dakota" won't be replying anytime soon, I guess I'll move on. If you read this Kala, I'm afraid I'm going to have Nicholas put you down.)
Nicholas quietly let Dakota down and softly flew over next to what he saw as a mermaid. His mouth shifted into a grin; it had been a while since he's seen mermaids. Nicholas noticed that the mermaid was concentrating on something causing his eyes to give out a mischievous twinkle. He edged a little closer behind her staring over her shoulder, watching her try to juggle. With a quiet inhale, Nicholas blew out wind from his mouth causing the water orb to fly away, awaiting the mermaid's reaction.

Cassie beamed as she once again was able to juggle the orbs without dropping them. The four turned out to be easier to master than three, perhaps it had something to do with all her practice on the three though. She blinked when the orbs began to fly away. How did they? Cass tilted her head to the side, wondering what had just happened, she saw Nicholas from the corner of her eye. "You! You did that didn't you? That was hard you know." She glared at him then dove into the water as a mischievous smile formed on her lips. A moment later the mermaid resurfaced with an enormous ball of water. Cassie wasn't one to stay mad at people for too long, it wasn't very fun after all. This did provide her with an excellent excuse to use him for target practice though. Grinning she lifted the orb high over her head and hurled it at him. "Enjoyyyy!" She giggled and stuck her tongue out playfully, waiting for the splash that was surely inevitable.

Nicholas laughed and watched her jump back into the water. As she came back up with the ball of water, he knew what to expect next. "Here I am!" he extended his arms out with confidence as if to allow her to throw it him. Nicholas laughed playfully as well, acting like a kid who had finally met a new friend similar to him. He waited for the right moment for the water to come before showing off with a somersault into the air with the water missing him narrowly. "Wow! That really was a big one!" he grinned, staying afloat in the sky. "Well, if it's like that!" Nicholas flew closer to the water toward the mermaid, his hand extended inside causing the water to splash along with his hands. He threw is hand up with the water flying through the air randomly, not really aiming anywhere but mainly trying to aim for her. "Try this!" It was probably pointless since she was already technically wet, but Nicholas found it fun nonetheless and waited to see if it would hit her.

Cassie clapped when Nicholas did the somersault then realized in doing so he had also dodged her orb. Oh well, I'll just have to try something else. Her eyes filled with curiosity as he began flying toward her. What is he planning? The mermaid thought, realizing his intentions just a little too late. Cassie was covered in a spray of water and, while she was already wet, the water that hit her felt a bit colder. "Oh, that's nothing." She grinned, eyes glittering mischievously. "Watch this." Cass focused on the water behind Nicholas and a dragon appeared there, not a real one mind you but one made completely out of water. It was only about six feet tall but looked formidable. Cassie waited to see what his reaction would be, aside from forming behind him the beast had yet to move. If everyone's like him I'm really going to enjoy it here. She thought and smiled to herself.

Nicholas raised an eyebrow, wondering what the mermaid had been doing. He heard something from behind and glanced back curiously. His brown eyes widened slightly, looking at the water forming into a dragon as tall as him. He suddenly could not help but let out a laugh. "Uh oh.. I think I'm in for it now!" he grinned before trying to escape from it by flying the opposite direction.

"Hehehe, you'll never escape me!" Cassie giggled and sent her creature after him, but it had to stay on the water while chasing Nicholas. Grinning she followed close behind them, her tail shimmering under the water. "What's wrong? Afraid of a little dragon?" She teased, eyes dancing with humor. This was the most fun she had since coming to this place.

Nicholas looked back at the dragon and looked at the mermaid a few times repeatedly before grinning mischievously. He flew more rapidly toward her, not showing any signs of changing directions. Nicholas got closer and closer, eyes never leaving hers, which were filled with amusement and playfulness.

Cassie stopped when the other Fay began flying towards her. The dragon disappeared back into the water when her concentration was broken. What is he planning? She wondered while he continued to close the distance. The look in his eyes was one she recognized instantly, having worn it many times before. Cassie knew she should have turned and swam off but the mermaid wanted to know what Nicholas would do. Besides, she could always duck underwater at the last minute, right?

Having heard a splash behind him, Nicholas figured the dragon disappeared. But that did not stop him from his flight toward his target. It seems she had been curious about what he was about to do, or else, Nicholas was sure she would have tried to dodge by now. With one last push, he flew even faster toward the mermaid as if he was close to crashing into her. At the last moment, he completely stopped in front of her face, causing the wind he pulled along with him to slightly throw his hair forward, his earring jingling back and forth. In that instant, Nicholas gave her a kiss on the cheek and flew upwards, laughing and grinning from ear to ear.

Cassie's eyes widened when he sped up. She hadn't expected that and no longer had time to dodge. The mermaid blinked when he stopped in front of her then kissed her. Temporarily shocked, she didn't move for a moment. Cassie stared up at him for a minute then grinned and threw some orbs of water up at him. She doubted any would hit Nicholas but it was still fun to try.

Nicholas was laughing and continued dodging her orbs. "What's your name!" he cried down at her. "The name's Nicholas! Nicholas Fraus!" Nicholas flew back down toward her, but less rapidly, even as she continued to throw water at him. He was hoping to float leisurely around once she had calmed down. It had been a long time since he had seen a mermaid anywhere. She was a humorous one as well, unlike a few elves that he recalled.
