Apiyo had settled nicely into a routine within the pride, there were his daily lessons, patrols, hunting and of course his time with Ubora. Though she was quite a bit busier than he was due to her extra training. He didn't mind so much as it allowed him to become more social with the rest of the pride members. Today was one of those days. Having finished his morning patrol and it not yet being time to go out on a hunt he had time to spare. After checking the den to see if Ubora was busy with training or not and not finding her there Apiyo set out in search of a new face, or perhaps one whom he had already met for a chance to speak with them more.
Padding out of the temple Apiyo let his eyes scan the area for anyone in the immediate section. Taking a deep breath the brown lion couldn't help but once again appreciate the serene nature of this pride, the safety for him and Ubora, and their future family when that happened, and knowing that he never had to worry about things again. He could only hope that his brother would or had found a place like this to settle down in as well.

Saho had only been back for a short while, and he was still very nervous and uneasy. Not that this was anything particularly new for the spotted lion. Saho was always uneasy.
He shifted from paw to paw and looked around for a friendly face. He didn't recognize anyone! It made sense, of course, that he wouldn't know anyone now...but it still made him a little sad. He wished the others from his small band were nearby. At least then he'd have someone to talk to.
But he would make it through, somehow or another.
Taking a deep, steadying breath, he boldly stepped forward, head held as high as he could, ready to face the -- oomph.
Reeling back, Saho blinked rapidly and realized that, somehow, in his attempt to gather his wits and his nerve....he'd smacked right into another lion. "Sorry!" He said, flustered, trying to look everywhere but at the brown male. "So, so sorry. I didn't see....I wasn't...I didn't...."

Feeling a bump on his side Apiyo turned his head to see another male. Seeing that he was a bit flustered at the situation Apiyo chuckled light-heartedly. "Don't worry, no harm done. I wasn't exactly paying attention myself." As he looked over the male he realized that he did not recognize him, and Apiyo had gone out of his way to learn as many faces as possible since joining the pride recently. Perhaps this male was one of those who joined recently, he had yet to meet any of those lions so it was a possibility. Of course given how big the pride was and the different schedules that each lion had with their duties and lessons it was possible to miss one whom had been around all along.
"I don't think I've seen you here before." He said with a friendly smile. "My name is Apiyo, and I joined the pride not too long ago. Are you new as well?" Old or new member Apiyo would certainly take the time to get to know another face within the pride. Knowing who was who was important, especially for him as he was a Guardian and knowing which lions needed protection from outsides and those that didn't was a crucial part to his job.

"Oh. Oh, good." Saho shuffled his paws, still looking very awkward. He smiled uncertainly, peering at the other lion's paws and shoulders and everything but his face. He looked very relieved not to be attacked by the other lion, who was after all much bigger.
Not that being attacked in pride lands was particularly likely, of course, but he had lived as a rogue for quite some time and life had been much more dangerous there.
"A pleasure meeting you, Apiyo," he said, and bit his lower lip, his ears folding back to his head. "I'm Saho. I, ah, I was with the princess..." he trailed off. She wasn't so much the princess anymore, now was she? All of that was just so very strange. "I mean, yes. I'm new here. I wasn't even born when my mother left."
