(Don't know which rp color he'll have yet, so I'm just using black for this.)
The familiar sights of the temple filled hungry eyes. Everything looked as it should. Free of vultures and lions going in and out about their daily duties. Desher-bik felt his heart swelling with pride. It was good to be home. Even now he was looking forward to meeting the new Pharaoh.
He gave a general look around and smiled at a passing cub. A moment passed where he remembered his niece being that small. Sadly she had seemed to be keeping as much space between them as physically possible since their return. Desher bowed his head in rememberance of his brother and mate. While he had hated his brother, never had he wished for his death.

It was one of his more pleasant duties, greeting the new members of their pride, of his pride. There were so many that were...not unpleasant but that were less appealing that had to be done anyway, such as tallying up reports of roughly how big the herds were this year vs. how many mouths the hunters had to feed. He could have left it all to his scribes and he trusted them, don't get him wrong; but Muroki was an involved sort of ruler. He liked to know for himself. Just as he liked to meet everyone for himself as well, except this was a nicer task.
"Desher-Bik?" Muroki asked, approaching the other male with a smile, comparing the lion with the description he'd heard. He was sure he had the right lion and if didn't, this was still a fellow he hadn't met yet. He held himself like nobility and wore a golden collar but otherwise he could have been anyone. Ceremony was not something Muroki always stood by.

Desher raised his head to see who had called his name. His gold eyes took in the lion and golden collar. He swept a deep and graceful bow.
"That would be me, Pharaoh. It is a great pleasure to meet you." The male was slightly surprised. Barely had they returned, it seemed, and yet already the Pharaoh knew his name. He was honored that he should be called by name. A broad smile crossed his lips.

"It's always a special joy to have Dawnwalkers return home." There weren't so many left, after all, with much of the older generations thought lost or known to be desceased and the younger...well. Muroki himself had spent many seasons a rogue and some in the pride of his queen, Johari. He'd not come straight home. Who knew how many old members and descendants were out there still?
"I was happy to hear of your arrival, with the rest of your group and my noble cousin Nanu Ialu. You have your daughter with you, I hear?" He enquired politely.

"It is a great joy to return home and find it not deserted, but filled with life." It was true. He could have asked for nothing more. No more wanderings as a rogue. "I have felt so welcomed since we returned. You have done an excellent job of returning the pride to life. I thank you."
Desher smiled at the mention of the princess. He wondered if she was having a tough time adjusting to the new found situation. Would it be hard to be leader, and then not be?
"Ah. She is the daughter of my brother, Pharaoh. He and his mate died in an unfortunate accident. I took her in as a cub and raised her as my own." Desher looked the king in the eyes. He did not regret his decision then, nor now. Even though she was not truly his daughter, he would continue to call her thus. However, it was best to let him know the truth.
