Biography: Adrian grew up with his parents and little brother in L.A., but unfortunately his brother had Alport syndrome, a disease that causes deafness and progressive kidney failure. When they were little, Adrian didn't really think too much about it, it of course bugged him that his brother got more attention, and it was kind of a pain to do sign language all the time, but he was his brother, so it didn't bother him too much. After a while, his little brother's kidney got worse, so he had to stay in the hospital. Adrian would visit his brother every day after school, and one day he wasn't in his room. He asked the nurse where his brother was, she told him that he was in surgery, that someone had died in a car accident and their kidney was a match to his brother's.
After hours of waiting, the doctor came out and told him the outcome; his brother had died during the procedure. Filled with grief and anger, Adrian ran home and hid in his room for the next few days, refusing to come out. A few months later, his parents sent him here.
