Calixte sighed as she looked up at the canopy of leaves high above her head. Way out here, in the depths of this forest, she was alone... Isolation was something she could hardly find for herself anymore. Though most of the time she longed for company, recently she had found herself longing for alone time. Relief washed over her in a wave as the sun shone down on the leaves far above her, turning everything green.
Her butterflies circled above her head, annoyed. After having exposure to society, they longed to go back and be included in the gossip of the animals they knew... But she shook her head and they flew off to find Oke to bother. The bear cub was wandering around curiously a ways away, sniffing at a bunch of flowers. Cali smiled. He was too sweet to have lost his mother.
Crossing her forelegs daintily, she sat down on the forest floor, watching Oke and the butterflies. Peaceful, she closed her eyes and listened to the woods' whisperings.
