I'm sure we can all agree that knowing good sites to study from is really good.
It would also be nice to share site where you can connect with others who speak or are learning the language you are learning.

Learning Sites
Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese -a comprehensive grammar guide

Social Networking
Interpals

(will add some of my own suggestions soon but hopefully other will contribute as well)

Since I don't have an option of taking Japanese classes I can only rely on internet as my studying resource.

Tae Kim's Guide is a good one. ありがとうMiyu_Aizawaさん。

Here are some of my suggestions:

CosCom Japanese Language School Tokyo Japan - Learn Japanese online with various contents. You can learn Japanese language; conversation, Hiragana Katakana and Kanji.
easyjapanese.org - Learn Japanese Online for free with easy flash quizes
LearnJapanese.com
TheJapanesePage.com
Learn Japanese Free
NIHONGO eな Portal for Learning Japanese - a site dedicated to introducing all kinds of websites and online tools useful for studying Japanese!
japanese-lesson.com - Online self-study programs produced by a native Japanese language teacher.
Learn Japanese Pod
The Furiganizer - this is some kind of online app I think, and it adds furigana above kanji. You can, for example, copy-paste some kanji you can't read and use this app to see how the kanji should be pronounced.
Tofugu - this is a very fun japanese language and culture blog. Ideal for self learners. They get a huge recommendation from me smile

And for facebook users I recommend Nihongo o Hanasu Koto ga Dekimasu ka? - very useful advice and lessons from a native japanese college student.

がんばって みんな さん!
