Junko plopped down into a soft clearing of dirt after finishing off a small rabbit she had caught for dinner. It was evening now and the rogue lands she now wandered were beginning to cool off. Still the cold, soft grains of sand against her back felt so good she could almost purr. This was all so much different from home. She missed the valley she roamed her whole life, and while she stuck as close as she safely could to it's boarders, she was still well into rogue territory. She shook her head, trying her hardest to not think about the events in the past couple of weeks. And with her head firmly planted on the ground, she raised her paw to her face, cleaning up a bit more from her recent kill.

Xennek was wandering away from his companion once again. It was a beautiful evening and the lion was out to enjoy it while the other one was staying back at their camp, resting for the next training session to come. But Xennek had restless paws and didn't feel like resting. He never did.
The coolness of the savanna beneath his paws kept him walking straight though the lion had his gaze up on the sky, watching as everything grew dark with the entrance of night. "Beautiful." He whispered before pausing. "Hmm?" Looking around Xennek spotted a figure lying down. A lioness. Well this wasn't such a bad day after all. Happy to meet someone new the lion walked quietly towards her with a grin.
"Hello there~" He called out softly once he was close enough to get a good look at her. She was definitely a pretty one that was for sure.

Lifting her head, Junko spotted a nearby male approaching her.
She was hesitent at first, thinking that he might be one of Sahen's Ligi coming after her. Jun looked him over quickly; she knew most of the major family lines in the Ashnai'le pride and he didn't fit the profile for any of them. And she certainly had never seen a marking like the one on his hindquarters, she was almost certain that he was only a rogue passing through.
"Good evening." There was a visible look of relief on her face as she answered. Not only because he wasn't a member of her old pride, but because she hadn't had anyone to talk with in quite some time. He looked rather powerful, but being a well trained hunter she felt confident that she could at least hold her own if things went sour.
"The name's Junko." She gave up her name quickly, something she wouldn't have done back home.

Xennek smiled. Ah, she was going to talk to him. That was nice. The lion normally didn't have a problem with talking to strangers though he had seen several on his travels that were very defensive about being approached. "Junko." He bowed politely though a small grin on his face gave away his playful manner, "I'm Xennek. It's a pleasure to meet you, Junko." His gaze was bright and openly honest in his pleasure at meeting her.
Without hesitation he plopped down to lay next to her. But he gave no signs of being a threat to her, besides invading her personal space. Instead he stared up at the sky for a bit before finally talking. "Anything interesting?" He asked looking from the sky to the lioness, "If you don't mind my company that is. Awfully boring to wander out here without anyone to talk to."

Xennek, huh? It seemed like even the names were a big stranger outside the valley. Though there was nothing wrong it, and if anything it was intriguing to the young lioness. When he layed down next to her though, she suddenly began to feel uneasy again. Not in the way she had when she feared he was a Ligi though- it was somehow different.
"Interesting? If only." She chuckled, looking up towards the sky as well. The rogue lands were new an exciting in a way. However, it was a lonely, if boring place she was quickly finding out.
"Oh your company is more than welcome. I haven't interacted with anything but the rabbits squirming under my paws every meal for far too long."

Xennek laughed softly at her reply. "I don't know, looks like you might be an interesting point of my day." He smiled at her before letting out a breath of relief, "That's good. I was worried that I might be intruding on your silent surroundings. I've been told that sometimes my company is a bit too much." He grinned, "I dunno, a rabbit isn't the worst you could do. Sometimes I find myself talking to the ground or the sky. Not very good conversations there nor do they warm my stomach."
Shaking his head the lion settled back and found himself relaxing, "Then I'll gladly offer you my company, Junko. It's a shame to find a lovely one like you out here all by yourself after all." His warm gaze sought her's and he smiled. "So are you from around these parts or just a wandering rogue like I am?"

"Not at all. Besides, seeing a big strong lion with a red pelt makes me feel a bit like I'm back home." She said it half jokingly, but it was true. He had a classic Atmaja coat- Warm colors and Blacks, and of course he seemed to possess the same fiery strength of an Atmaja. He turned out to be quite the talker too.
Junko turned her head away from the sky to get a better look at him when she caught him looking straight at her. She tried her best to keep her eyes on his as not to make for an awkward moment, but Jun felt like a bashful cub when she embarrassingly looked away.
"Believe me, I don't want to be by myself." She was feeling flustered. Why was he making her so nervous? Jun did her best to gather her thoughts and answer his question though. "I'm a rogue now, I guess. I use to have a home I loved in a valley not too far away from here, but I can't go back there anymore."

"Oh really?" Xennek looked over at her with a small smile, "I'm hopin' that's a good thing, making you feel that way." Her bashfulness amused him, but he made no comment on it besides that tell-tale grin of his.
"Alright then." The lion let out a sigh of relief, "That's good news since I was gettin' rather tired of being alone out here myself." Technicially it was true, Sekayi was often quiet and some days far from the best company he could find - especially when compared to a lovely female. Hearing her comment about her home made Xennek look back at her with a frown, "Why is that? If you don't mind me asking." He paused and shook his head slowly, "It just seems a shame to suddenly lose your home like that though I can't complain about living out here." He chuckled softly, "But you might not see things the way a well-traveled rogue does."
