So I have majorly ******** up my period.
It's sort of confusing too >>
On Feb 20th (my birthday) I went to the states for a little shopping trip. It was a Sunday, when you start a new pack, but I had forgotten to bring one.
So I got home on Tuesday, and I took my Sunday and Monday pills (SOOO dumb) then took my Tuesday pill that night around 11 when I normally do.
So yeah I threw up the next morning which everyone at work said was sort of like a hormone overdose.
COME MARCH, is when I go visit Jeremy, I leave the 10th. (Thursday)
However come that Sunday the (13th) I was suppose to go off my pills to get my period. So instead of getting a period, I just started a new pack on Sunday night. (Which is the first time I've ever done)
Anyways so I ended up getting crampy once I got home from Texas, and I got a period on the 17th (Thursday, like I normally would)
I was a bit crampy but uh let me tell you something. This is like a mega period. I still have it now, and it's not heavy but it's not light.
Anyways so I just figure I'm having a mega period even though I'm still taking my pills like normal, but when I was explaining it to my mom she was like OH NO THAT IS SO BAD FOR YOU OMG but I pointed out this is the first time I've majorly effed it over.
SO, I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday anyways, but is this as big of deal as my mother is making it out to be ?

I've majorly messed up my bc before but I never experienced any negative effects. If you're gonna be gettin' busy though, you should probably use some back up protection.

I heard that if you miss more than two pills in a row, you're just supposed to start a new pack. But once last year, I visited a friend who lives about two hours away and I accidentally left my birth control there. I had her mail it to me, but by the time I got it, I had missed like three pills, and I just took all of the ones I missed at once. That month I had a really heavy period but it was back to normal next month.
So I'm not sure if that helps at all, but I don't think you should worry too much.

Not a big deal at all. Women mess with the bc pills all the time. It's what prompted Seasonale to be researched and then marketed.
I don't think you are supposed to take 3 in one day though. That's got me thinking doses like the morning after pill LOL. I think the only instructions I was ever given was for missing one dose. When you go to the doctor ask them what to do next time you are in a situation like that.
Period may be funky and your bewbs hurt more than usual, but after you re regulate yourself it will be fine...barring you don't get knocked up in the meantime. gonk

So I'm not sure if that helps at all, but I don't think you should worry too much. yeah, that means that your bc didn't work anymore even though you were taking it. once you pass two full days without taking it, your cycle becomes unprotected again. your heavy period is your body without the pills making it lighter. you should definitely use protection until you have at least another week of the bc under your belt.
