Name: Landon Sinclair

Age: Late Twenties-Early Thirties (The man forgot his own birthday!)

Appearance: Landon is overly skinny, and his yellow-blond hair is perpetually mussed – particularly his bangs, which he is constantly pushing away from his eyes while he’s reading. He tends to dress in what would be considered a formal manner, if he didn’t forget to clean his clothes, leaving him in rumpled suits that have seen many, many better days. His wire-frame glasses are crooked, and tend to be smudged from where he’s constantly pushing them up on his nose. He has pale skin, freckles, and ever-present bags under his blue eyes from poor sleeping habits.

Guardian Personality: Landon is a very… unique individual. Something of a space-case, he doesn’t seem to lose track of reality so much as he has a difficult time connecting to it in the first place. He’s a loving individual, but tends to get lost in his own little world quite often, ignoring everyone and everything around him, including his own needs and the needs of others, while he’s involved in working on one of his ‘projects’. He’s not precisely a mad scientist, or a wacky inventor, or even an adventurous archaeologist – nothing even remotely exciting or worth bragging about to anyone. Rather, he’s simply a linguistics professor who spends all of his time trying to discover and understand the development of language over history.

As a parent, Landon is hardly the most attentive, but he is very loving. In lieu of spending time with his child, he would shower him or her in as many presents and nice things as he can afford, because gosh darn it he does love his kid, he just has one more passage to research on this tablet before he can come play with you. He can make sure that there’s a roof overhead, clothes on your back and food on the table – well, at least when he remembers to go shopping! – and that’s really all a kid needs, right?

History: Landon grew up as the only child of a middle-class family, and early proved his intelligence and skills in the field of academia, coasting through schools and colleges until he found his life’s calling – linguistic research. As he began to establish himself in the field, he gradually lost contact with his parents, and now he hardly ever visits them or is in contact with them, aside from the occasional holiday visit – when he remembers that there’s a holiday coming up, anyway! He’s the epitome of an intelligent dunce, because he is quite prone to forgetting to buy food, or wash his things, and he refuses to hire a maid or a housekeeper – not due to lack of money, but rather because he’s afraid they would disturb his research! Because of this, his home is a bit dusty, covered in old books, and he thinks there might be some jam in the cabinets that he bought last week.
