Life was good. He was resting on the warm sandy beaches, listening to the roaring of the waves as they rushed the shore, and then pulled back out to join the large expanse of water called the ocean. If the sun's warmth wasnt why he liked this place,
it was the sounds. Relaxing, and comforting, they reminded him he was alive, and he would lie there for hours and just enjoy the feeling of doing nothing. He had eaten a piece of the fermented fruit only an hour or so earlier, and now he was beginning
to feel the effects. He was a drunk, and was normally a bit intoxicated. He still was a functioning drunk though.. He had to be. Pirates were constantly being chased by dogooders who didnt like that they stole from others. But at least they didnt discriminate!
They stole from everyone..

He pawed his nose, hoping to flick the fly that had managed to land and bite. He hated these flies, he was used to them but it didnt mean he liked them. Once the sharp sting went away, he closed his eyes again, rolling onto his back, and wriggling as if he was
scratching his back. However he was trying to sink into the sand a little, as the sand was just oh so warm.

She was wandering away from the pride yet again. It seemed life outside of the Amazon called to this, not quite adult, girl. Pink eyes shone with curiosity as she came across the shore. The ocean? She really wandered that far away? Biting down on her lip, she edged closer to the sandy shore and put her paws in it, toes curling in the sand with her claws extending. This sand felt really, really good to her right now. A laugh bubbled forth and the red and black lioness dug all her toes further into the hot sand. It felt so warm, she could just lay in it and go to sleep! Which is probably what she was going to do.

Shifting, she looked out and spotted someone else enjoying the sand. A male, from the size of the thing, so...she headed that way to greet him. Despite the pride's issues with males, and Lala's father, Lala didn't hold it against the whole gender. Just a few, specific ones. "Hello there?"

He had pretty much been in a drunken stupor, forgetting the world in the ebb of the oceans waves. But his peace had been shortlived.
The sound of sand shifting under paws missed his ears, as he was too busy listening to those waves.. But her voice, that he heard. He
flicked open an eye, and looked at her from upside down. What an odd looking lioness! Everything was on the wrong side of her! ..
Chuckling inwardly, he remembered he was laying upside down, and flipped over. Once he had, his vision corrected itself and he realized
that she was quite normal. Phew. What a relief. He smiled, a cocked half smile that was his signature trademark. He had gotten better at
not slurring too badly when he was on the fruit, but anyone who had never tried it likely wouldnt know him to be a drunk, just quite exuberant.

"Aye, lass.. 'Ello to you." He said with a nod.

Something was... wrong with this male. He seemed odd and he was kind of swaying. It made her hesitate about going closer, but she didn't want to have a conversation with raised voices. So closer Lala ventured. When she got close enough, she wrinkled her nose. Something was very off about him. She wasn't sure what it was, because she hadn't met anyone who had looked or acted like this before. She chalked it up to too much sun. Yes, that's it. too much sun!

"I am Lala. What's your name? Where are you from? You look really excited!" She really wanted to know why he looked so excited, and acted so funny. She couldn't help but smile at the man, truly. Even if he was a random rogue that would probably kidnap her and drag her off somewhere, at least she's getting a smile out of it.

She was lucky, he was far from the type to kidnap any females.. Though there were some of his crew that were not above such a move. If Pirato's life had revolved around females he might have been that type.
But Pirato's life revolved around himself. His tail swayed side to side, and it was obvious he was trying to right himself into a sitting position, though he managed to almost to mess even THAT up. He chuckled.
Excited? He had never had that term applied to him before. Mainly because he hardly ever LOOKED excited. He looked her over, appreciating the well formed muscles, and lovely pelt. He felt a purr rise in his throat
but he stifled it. He was a pirate but he was no jackass...sometimes..

"Excited? I didn't know I was, tis a good thing to know, though, dont you think?" He asked, his words rambling as he attempted to not slur them. The slur could have definitely been worse but it was still there. Perhaps
he should tell her about the fruit. Maybe she would want to try it, and stay with him for a good time. That made him smile, so he shrugged.

"Mayhaps its 'cause the fruit was truly.. effective.. today." He smiled.

Fruit? What in the world was this rambling man talking about. He didnt even answer her question! He was so funny, that a giggle bubbled forth and she ducked her head to cover it, biting on her lip. "You're strange. ...I haven't.... well, I can't say I've seen you before, because I'm.. not from these parts." She actually blinked, thinking about that and then shook her head. It didn't matter. She wouldn't tell him where she was from if he asked. Lala, for some reason, figured this male wouldn't.

She was indeed right, the male had no care about where she hailed from, or if she would even return. All he knew is she was sitting here with him now. That alone brought a smile on his maw. Raising a paw so that he could use
a claw to scratch the side of his lip. He looked at her and wondered if she was being serious. Did he really interest her? That was a rare occurrence, but the King could honestly say he liked it. Taking a deep breath, so that he could
think really hard about what to say next, he chuckled, his tail swaying in the sand, and making little sand angels unintentionally.
"Aye, lass. Ill be betting you have never seen me. The likes of me, be easy to remember." Which was true.. Whether it be the smell, the company, or the good spirits, you never forgot your run in with a pirate. He liked to make sure that
being the Pirate king, he was never, ever forgotten. He liked being infamous, even if it was for the wrong things usually.

"What be your name?" He asked, cocking his head.

Indeed he was interesting. This male made her laugh and giggle, and at the same time, made her feel slightly uneasy. The red and black spotted female eyed this male before cracking a smile and answering his question. Of course, she answered it once already, but it was fine. If he couldn't remember a name as simple as hers, she chalked it up to whatever he was talking about, this 'fruit'. In the pride, she heard some of the males whisper that certain fruits, when sour, made them feel good and relaxed. Maybe this was the same thing. "I am Lala. What's your name?" This was her second time asking this question.

He began to realize that the sun was playing with his mind it seemed. Hadnt he asked her that question already? He thought he did, but whenever she answered it he shrugged.
She must not have said her name before he asked then.. Right? She asked his name, and he eyed her again. Did he trust her to know his name? She wasnt a Stormborn was she? If she
was, he had every intention of either chasing her out, or maybe convincing her to let him get closer to her.. Either she would be useful, or she would just be another boring stormborn.
"I be Pirata'Alto. However Im also called 'Clever.'" He said with a chuckle. He looked over her red and spotted pelt and grinned. He just loved it. He listened to her giggle, and he looked
at her. Apparently she found him entertaining. He wasnt sure why but he'd take it.

"So if ye be wandering from your pride. Wont they miss ye?" He asked, cocking his head. He wondered why she was able to go wherever she wanted if she was in a pride. All he knew was that
he didnt have the thought process others had. His pride could do what they wanted, and when, so long as it didnt hinder him in any way.

"Yes. Probably they will miss me. ...I should return.." She wandered the unclaimed lands during the day and returned when it was getting dark. Looking up at the sun, and remembering her trek back, Lala realized she'd get back to her pride just after sundown, which made her so uncomfortable. Licking her lips, she started inching backwards. "Pirata'Alto... I think it is an interesting name. I should, though, get back. I'm... going to be a bit late as it is."

Well, this fruit eating male had captured her attention, and she hoped to see more of his slurry, wobbliness. "....Will you be about tomorrow?"

He felt a bit of sadness when she decided to leave, realizing that he hadnt really gottent o know her much. The desire to do so, however, ran rampant through the males body.
He nodded, smiling at her. He hoped she would return. Sure Adaeze wouldnt really like that he was spending time with someone else, but he had told her from the get go she was not
his only female, and wouldnt be. So he grinned, conscience clear. It was unlikely though, that he would feel a conscience..

"Aye, lass, I will be. Mayhaps ye should come visit me again." He hinted, eyeing her to gauge her reaction. He wasnt sure where her pride was, and he didnt care. He wondered if he would
be able to get anywhere with her, and he wasnt sure. Though he supposed one day, maybe, he would find out.

She giggled again and nodded before biting her lip again. Oh, she would, indeed, come back and visit him again. "I shall see you tomorrow, then, so until then," she bowed her head. Turning around, the female laughed as she ran back to her pride, tail flicking this way and that.

She didn't get to know him, and only just got his name. Yet, she wanted to hear the stories he probably had.
