Almas was smiling as he headed back toward the front gate of the Labs once more, giving a happy sound in his throat. The second of the three interviews that he was to do today was about to happen, once the next young spawn arrived. He looked down at the file he had in his hands. He thought of them as being rather young since compared to Almas they were young, not to mention those that he was interviewing were the same age as his son so that only helped in making him think of them as young.
He headed outside, glad to see that the weather was still nice out, and then over to the tall, wrought iron gate, and waited there for the young man to show up. He opened the file up to look it up, giving it a little scan. It was interesting enough information, a Sloth and Kindness child? That just sounded far to adorable he thought to himself then lifted his gaze to peek out the gate, looking from one side to the other, seeing if he could spot Edes. Once he arrived he would let him in and then they would head for the break room for tea, cookies, and a chat.

"Misser Edes... Will you come back..?" A whole room of little voices rang out around a rather flustered spawn who stood by the door. Little hands tugged on his sleeves, and he couldn't help but feel hearbroken at the way they all acted..
"Yes, I promise I will be back tomorrow, I promise.." He told them all softly. It was a tiny class he taught, no more than 10 or 11 preschoolers, but each one was so important to him. They accepted what he was, and loved him to death, as he did them. One by one, they came up, giving him a hug, some sniffling, some joking, and some just quiet, seeming to understand what was happening. Today was a very special day for the spawn. Not only did he have an interview at the facility, but he also was going to go deliver the wedding invitations he had made.. Each of the little children of his class got one too, but it was an invitation to an inclass party, which would be held a few weeks from now.
"Be good for Miss Nancy, okay?" He called out to them all, slipping out the door, and throwing a smile over his shoulder to the aged, but fully capable woman who would take his place for the rest of the day. A kind woman, a little stern, but she had decades of experience to deal with children. They were perfectly safe in her hands.
Now outside, Edes spread his wings, taking off in flight to the facility that was on the outskirts of town. Sure he could have driven, or even taken the bus, but what was more ecologically friendly than using what you have?
As he soared through the air, his mind began to wander to the facility.. To be totally honest, he hardly understood what it meant to be a spawn.. Angels.. Demons.. Perhaps a few of his own questions could be answered once he arrived.. Luckily, he was one of the few who held no hatred or fear of the facility.. In fact, he rather enjoyed the memories he had of that place. He judged no one on their fears however, for he too had them.
It was a rather chilly day today, and he was more than happy to touch down on the ground infront of the iron gates, where someone was waiting for him. He had no recollection of ever meeting this man, but something about him seemed vaguely familiar..
"Good Afternoon!" He spoke softly, giving the other a smile, and holding his hand out to be shook. "I'm Edes, I'm here for my meeting~"

Almas lifted his gaze when he heard the sound of fluttering wings, for a moment worried until he saw that it wasn't an angel that was over head, instead it was the spawn that he was sure that he was expecting. He gave a smile and took out the keys to unlock and open the gate, pulling it open for him, "Welcome, Edes." He said, giving him a smile, "My name is Almas Gamaliel and I will be doing your interview today." He wondered if the spawn expected for it to be Vampy when it came to these interviews or if the spawn even talked about these meetings with their friends. He couldn't be sure since he'd never sat in on one of them before.
"Come on in, we will be sitting in one of the break rooms today for this meeting." He said, giving him a smile, waiting for him to come inside before he closed the gate behind him, locked in, and then started to lead the way. He had heard interesting things about this one from Vampy and from the file, "I am going to be asking you various questions but if you like I can try to answer questions in return." He offered, sure that wasn't a part of the interview normally but he wanted it to feel more like a friendly conversation instead of an interrogation.

With a nod, Edes readily followed him. Even if there was a threat, he wouldn't have noticed it. He wasn't really one to see the bad in people. It wasn't until someone did something bad, were they even given sense of dislike in Edes' mind. One of his fatal flaws, he supposed. When coming here, he had no idea who he would be dealing with. He never really met any of the staff for long, only for brief moments, like when he met his biological father, the sloth demon, so long ago.. He had heard rumors about his demise, and he wouldn't lie, for a while, he was feeling empty. Sure, he hardly knew him but..
No, this wasn't the time to get sad, he thought to himself, giving the man a smile from behind.
"Alright. I don't mind answering any questions, but I'll wait until the end to ask what I have to ask." Edes nodded, confirming what he had said to himself, as well as to the man before him. He took a seat in the break room, his hands in his lap, hidden as always.

Almas led the way from the front door to the break room quickly, stepping in after Edes then closed the door. There was a sign up, hand made by him, that said 'Interview in Progress, Do Not Disturb'. Thus far it had worked in keeping the techs out while he did his work and had his nice talks with the spawn.
He moved to get the tea pot from the stove pouring each of them a cup, "Here you go, this is rose tea." He explained, setting one cup in front of Edes. There was also milk and sugar cubes, Almas added a bit of milk and a lot of sugar to his own before stirring it up, "This is my second time doing this, the interviews I mean, I make tea all the time for my Boss. So forgive me if I am a little uncertain at time to time."
"Lets see..." He opened up the file that he had and the paper he'd been given by his Boss, "The first thing that he says he normally asks about is your current situation, how you feel about your life as it is right now?" He said, looking up at Edes, he seemed pretty happy on the outside but that didn't mean that he might not be hiding something, it was his job to figure out if that were so, "What can you tell me about your life as it stands?"

"Thank you~" Edes graciously took the cup, waiting for Almas to prepare his own, before adding quite a bit of milk to his own, and a near equal amount of sugar. Any little spark of energy always helped. Especially with recently, when stress had gotten higher as his own wedding slowly approached.
A bit of a confused expression came across him, having not quite expected such a question. Then again, this was the facility, anything could happen, he supposed. His face relaxed, once again gaining that gentle smile he always seemed to have.
"My life is like a storm wind.. But in a good way.. With each day, something new happens, and I cannot help but feel more eager to meet it. I couldn't be happier... Well, I could be, but that is something for a later date. For now, I am content, and I don't think anything could darken my life." The past was behind them now. And all that he could even think about was the future, not only his own, but all of the futures held by the ones he loved. His preschoolers, his brother, Cody... And Sometime soon, a little bundle of joy on it's way. Well, maybe sometime later, but still.
"So many things happen, and it sounds cheesy, but I'm so grateful for everything. Life isn't perfect, it could never be, but waking up in the morning, knowing you have something wonderful to live for... I think that is one of the strongest forms of happiness one could have."
A sudden blushes came across the top of his nose, and he reached up, shyly giving it a scratch.
"Sorry.. That was longer than it should have been.. To simply put it.. I am content with life, and it can only get better."

Almas listened closely to what he was saying and then gave a smile as he took note of what he was saying, he couldn't help but to love the way he was talking, the way he seemed to so happy with his life at the moment, "Oh? That sounds very nice, I know that some of the spawn have had it rough so its nice to hear that your doing well." He said, giving a smile before he checked on the list again, giving it a little glance and then seemed thoughtful.
"This one seems a little... well I am not sure if it needs to be asked but I will ask it regardless, if there was something about your life now that you would change what would it be?" He asked, he said he was content and that it could only get better so he wasn't sure if that meant he wouldn't change anything. Best to ask the question since it was one that seemed to be quite important to Vampy, a part of him wondered if it were for deal making purposes. He pushed the thought aside and then awaited the answer from Kindness spawn that he was talking with. He got up for a moment to fetch a plate of baked goods, mostly cookies, a couple cupcakes, and the last of the donuts to be had as it seemed most of them that were left unguarded were eaten by Aden's son.
"You can have some if you like, I made them specially for the interviews." He offered him, giving a smile as he settled back into his seat and took as tip of his tea.

"Hehe, thanks again~" A slender hand peeked out from their normal hidden space within his sleeves and took one of the cupcakes that were there, lifting it to his lips, taking a small bite. The sweetness was very welcomed, and he felt the rush of sugar taking affect, waking up his cells, and allowing him to feel more alert, before pondering the question presented to him, his mind wandered over to the thought of his biological father, the sloth demon from long ago.. Perhaps he had the same trouble too, having to eat lots of caffeinated drinks and sugar just to stay awake for the few mere moments. He didn't mind though. After all, he had quite the sweet tooth.
"I'm sure you've heard this before, but everyone has regrets. Do I wish I could change some, yes, but when given the option to, I think I would change only one.." He bit his lip at the thought, that blank spot in his mind that had happened during his encounter with Luthor, not so long ago. He went silent for a moment, saddened that it was empty, like a part of him was missing, then shook his head, looking back up to Almas with a smile.
"No, never mind, I wouldn't change anything. You can't gain anything without losing something of your own. It could be good or bad. I like to live by that idea, and It's worked well for me so far.... I'm so sorry.. I keep giving these ridiculously long answers.. I'm sure you don't want to hear me rant like I know everything in the world. I personally think I'm rather.. Naive? Perhaps even a bit of a dimwit. But I love my life, so why change if you're happy?"

Almas seemed to touch one of his many scars in an unconscious manner when there was mention that everyone had regrets and he gave a nod, understanding that full well, "I can understand what you mean." He said, there was always the desire to change things if possible, even though it was beyond ones grasp to do that without help.
"Those words are quite deep for one your age." He told Edes a little surprised to hear him say something so deep, "There are some that it takes them a lot longer to learn that lesson. Some never do."
Reaching for another cookie he seemed to be thinking for a moment before he gave a smile, "Its alright, your answers give me a lot to go on, about what you think, how you feel, its important. I don't want you to hold back on my part, I would much prefer to hear all that you have to say." He said in a reassuring manner, "In fact I am glad to hear that your happy with the way things are, there are days that I worry greatly for those who are born here, about what they are thinking, feeling, if they are alright. I know that at times it can be tough to deal with your dual natures. Its good to hear that your doing well by it."
He lifted his cup up to take a sip from it, seeming happy with what he was learning, taking down some notes on his paper as he went.

"The thing about the past is, what are you if it wasn't for that? Good or bad, your past shows how you handle things." Edes smiled a small smile, looking down into his teacup, seeming to go away for a moment.
"Recently, I made a wish with someone I love.... And in exchange, I gave up part of my memory.. Yes, I am sad that I cannot remember what it was, but I can say it was worth it.. Although it is not time for the with to come true, that seed has been planted, and in time, the ultimate goal in my life will come. That's why I can't help but be happy." He downed the rest of his tea, loving teh sweet and exotic flavor that rolled over this tongue.
"Ever since I was young, I never had a problem with my natures.. I was small, and sleepy, if anything, I saw myself as normal. When I think about it, most people don't really have a reason to be afraid of those born of the Sloth.. We sleep, and are a bit lazy, but isn't everyone at times? I loved to sleep, I loved to cuddle, and I still do. The only thing I ever saw wrong with myself was finding it hard to will my body to move at times, but as I said, who hasn't just wanted to curl up safe and warm under a blanket? Sometimes, I even see myself as just a little dull. I'm no threat to anyone, if anything, I'd be a target of some sort." It was true, he could hurt no one who didn't deserve it. That's why he loved his job so much. No need to be aggressive, no need to do anything too hard.. Well, kids weren't easy, but with the right methods, everyone could get things done.
"I understand why someone would be afraid of a child of wrath, or a child of lust, but we cannot decide our own genes. That being said, life isn't up to that. Sure, our genetics may hinder us a bit, but our decisions are just that, our own. "

"You made a wish?" He found himself asking, wondering if Edes had met with Vampy to make a deal with him, then found himself wondering what the deal might have been for but he didn't really as about it in detail since he knew that sometimes Vampy was a little secretive with such thing so he wouldn't pry not wanting to bother either Edes or his Boss, if he was happy with his wish after all and it was something that would help him reach his goal in life then Almas couldn't say anything. After all he'd made such a deal once before too, hadn't he?
Almas took down what Edes was saying, seeming to be smiling as he did so, "I wish my son could be so level headed." He said as his hand moved, taking down his notes, "I know that at times he resents who one of his parents is, won't even acknowledge him. It makes things a little tough but I can understand, I know not everyone who comes here likes the man that is one half of my son's DNA."
Lifting his gaze he looked over at Edes once more, giving him a smile, "Can I ask, what do you think of this place, this Facility as a whole?" He knew that Vampy was curious about that, knew that there were many that dislike it, many that hated Vampy, hated coming here, but there were those who were different, those that didn't mind as much coming here for visits, classes, or other appointments.

"Mhm, it was a shared wish between me and my fiancee.." A darker blush than before came across not only his nose, but the top of his ears as well. "A friend of my, a boy about my age offered me the opportunity to make the wish, so I took it. Sacrificing a memory is so very insignificant compared to what I had wanted.. And he made it come true.." A fondness came over his voice as he thought about Luthor. He definitely had made it onto his wedding invite list~
"Perhaps you son isn't level headed, but perhaps he is happy that way." Edes moved to pick up a cookie, munching on it, then gazing out past Almas for a moment, looking around them as he pondered the next question.
"Personally.. I find nothing wrong with it.. I was born here, and to be honest, I only have fond memories of here.. Like when I was a baby, I remember being carried around in the warm arms of someone, being woken up once in a while to be fed, then curling up once again to sleep some more. I suppose that fondness comes with that warmth... Maybe they didn't really care about me, but I felt safe.. Even now, when I come here, I don't panick, I don't feel angry.. I smile, and remember all the times I came here." His thoughts traveled to Cody. He was stuck here for some time.. He may have hated it.. But he came back better, so it couldn't be as bad as it seemed to everyone else.
"I kinda want to work here, just a smidgen, you know? If I can remember those warm arms, I want to share that feeling with all the other little ones that come from this place. Unfortunately, what would my other kids think, when their teacher suddenly disappears..? I couldn't upset them.." It was heartbreaking to even think that he could cause another one to cry..

Almas's eyes seemed to go wide when he spoke, "Oh... I see." He murmured, the description and the power, he could guess who it was. He didn't know that he was granting wishes again though he couldn't say that he was to shocked about it, after all it was in his blood to do such things. That he was at least keeping his prices fair was a good thing he decided before he set to work once more writing, "I think that he is happier these days, yes, but that always comes with being in love I believe." Even if even love could cause pain at times it was always worth it if you asked him.
He gave a smile when Edes spoke well of the place, seeming only to have good memories of when he was staying here. He was sure that he likely spent a lot of his time sleeping before he was given a home since he was both a Sloth spawn and a baby, something that made him doubly sleepy and cute. He could only imagine what a baby version of Edes might be like... far to adorable he was sure, "I am glad to hear that, I am sure my Boss will be as well. That there are at least a few that don't find this place to be frighting or terrible." He knew that some of the Techs could be hard to deal with, not being terribly social people and Vampy wasn't the most welcoming... and then there was Aden and his constant flirting...
He pushed the thoughts aside, "Work here?" He asked, then gave a smile, "You are already well liked here for the work you did for the Facility earlier one." He said to Edes before giving him another smile, "Oh? Your a teacher then? What is that like?" Not a question on the form per say but he was sure that Vampy would like to know about what sort of job one of the spawn had, right?

Laughter rang out, soft and sweet, from the spawns lips, and his eyes glowed with just the thought of his love.
"Love is such a strange thing! It causes you to feel so many things, and sometimes it's hard to contain.. That why I made my wish~ To make an epitome of the love I have for my dear." He scooted back into his chair, readjusting so that his wings fit more comfortably in it. Edes nodded in agreement at the fact his boss would be pleased. He didn't understand why though. The place made life.. And didn't try manipulate that life too much, seeing as much freedom he himself was given.
"Liked..? I don't remember ever doing anything to help, but if I'm liked, then you're welcome!" His students came to mind, and he grinned just a bit, proud of each and every one of them.
"Mhm, I teach preschool. I was actually there before I came for our meeting. It's... Amazing. To know that you can be such a positive on children right now, even at this early age, is so rewarding. It was through that feeling, that I decided to have one of my own. Granted.. We're waiting until we're married though.. What can we say, we're a bit old fashioned." .... How did the question about his job turn into a discussion of his sex life.?! "A-and we were waiting until we are financially stable to have kids! Too many children are born into the world were home life is turmoil.. I plan for that to never be the case with my own child.." His normally sweet expression turned to one of bitterness as he thought of the poor child that his friend Kaleb had lost... He never knew anger, but he swore, something inside him made him want to go find that girl and strangle her.
