Edited: Well Midway is giving Revolution a shot after all. It will likely be a new IP for the system so let's hope it's something that's worthwhile. razz

They said that? I dought that they will keep to their word, at least, once the Revolution comes out and starts selling. Although I must dissagree with you on that last coment. Its not they don't have a distaste for innovation, they just don't think the Revolution will succeed.

There any link to this news?
But, personally I'm expected that a few developers wouldn't support the Revoltuion. Second I expected developers not to be taking notice of the Revoltuion due to the lack of news.
But Midway...never have liked them. More likely never will.

I liked Mortal Kombat, it's one of the few gaming series left from the old days of gaming, back when companies took responsibility. look at the modern day, companies like sony are disregarding the requirement of responsibility and assuming responsibility is optional. when you're in the gaming industry you gotta be responsible. Midway should still develop Mortal Kombat for Rev, or just keep making GC versions on the larger Revolution discs, or allow use on the GC controller through the Rev version. it would work. I like kicking a** as Scorpion. they better change their mind about the revolution! putting MK on Sony or Microsoft is a damn quick way to get into lawsuits.

Yeah, but then again, Sony and M$ are the hardcore ways to go. Nintendo by many is never really considered "hardcore" except by its own fans. Real "hardcore" players brag about what games they own and how they are so awesome at it and that they'll kick your a** anyday. It really annoys me. xp

well anyone who knows hardcore knows to stick to the companies that have developed consoles from the begining of the console wars. and since Nintendo is a vetran of the console wars it is only fitting that Nintendo fans are the true hardcore gamers. anyone sticking to sony or microsoft wasted their money on overpricedgarbage! I saw the durability test, Nintendo survived it no matter what. looking flashy isnt enough, you gotta be tough as a $2.00 turkey! tougher than nails! you gotta eat coal, and s**t diamonds(and from experience, it HURTS)!
Midway should consider making an arcade stick for the Revolution as a peripheral for the Revolution. a 4 peice unit that can connect to other arcade units by either extendable cable, or connecting to each unit together. it would be sweet to have a cool arcade stick for use on the Revolution, maybe a flight stick. something to simulate the classic gaming feel.
I wonder if Nintendo is gonna make a Custom Robo game for the Revolution... it woud so rule! ^_^ giant robot stuff, genuine giant robot stuff!

And with free WiFi support why not something like Crimson Skies with the ability to use it? You're missing out on great opportunities Midway..... neutral

well yeah, Midway should develop for Nintendo only, put the old game feel in the new console. Midway made games before for Nintendo. look at when Midway and Acclaim made MK. it was a hit, and was sony around then? HELL NO! sony was a shitty 3rd rate electronics company! Midway developed for Nintendo, Sega, and arcade machines! microsoft had emulators and Roms, but also a PC version that otherwise BOMBED. Midway should stick to Nintendo to keep to the old ways of an illustrious history, and steer clear from the idiocy of sony and microsofts lame blocks of crap.
looking at the past the Nintendo version always got the better end of the stick anyways. look at the GC version of MKD, Goro and Shao Kahn from earlier MK games made appearences in the GC version only, and it made up for the lack of online play.
and in other history, wasnt it when Acclaim STOPPED making games for Nintendo when they inevitably fell? Acclaim was once a great 2nd party that made some nice games like the Turok games and even the South Park FPS that was supposed to remain N64 EXCLUSIVE. Acclaim turning to Sony and Microsoft resulted in a lawsuit from a very hot model because her likeness was in Backyard Wrestling, a game that was on Sony and Microsoft, but not Gamecube! coincidence? HELL NO! the deal with Sony and Microsoft should've given Acclaim more than enough money to survive, but it didnt work out, and Acclaim died as a company.
you see, Sony and Microsoft dont care about gaming, they only care about the money you shell out to them. so what do I do when faced with that oppression? I stick to Nintendo, sticking to quality like the hardened batter of an onion ring! and piss on the s**t sony and microsoft try to feed me in the console market like it was a literal turd in the toilet! the companies that stuck to Nintendo have never seen better days as the companies sticking primarily to Sony and Microsoft are releasing sub-par games! DOA extreme Beach Volleyball by Techmo Team Ninja fell short on the bar from Beach Spikers made by Sega. the FF games on Nintendo were instant classics, when the PS FF games were crap at best or average! newer FF games have characters that look all too identical, and the only chance of being saved is the FF7 movie Advent children. seriously, it's pretty sad when you gotta go to a lame-a** like Anderson to publish your game as a movie.
look at Resident Evil the movie, it was once on Sony, and when Nintendo got it's hands on the RE license, Resident Evil never saw better, and it's slumping with exposure to Sony. Soul Calibur/Soul Edge was on Sony and the dying Dreamcast, and when Soul Calibur 2 was on Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox, the Gc version sold more than the other two versions. and look at SC3 now! it's on the version that had the LAMEST ending for it's SC2 version.
my point is why stick with two losers when you can go with the quality king we know as Nintendo? Midway is making a HUGE error in their judgement based on the history.

I think it would be cool to have another Mortal Kombat on Revolution, run with online and give more characters to the Rev version. allow Puzzle Kombat, Chess Kombat, and maybe Kombat racing, and Konquest mode is a definate must. I would prefer MK, but considering how Nintendo and MK is a powerful team, Midway should turn Nintendo Exclusive since Capcoms Resident Evil franchise was pretty dominant.
Nintendo isnt the kiddy console you once knew it to be, it's matured, and considering Twilight Princess comming in September on the GC, possible some Rev exclusive features, Nintendo is appealing to the more mature crowd making things realistic, Geist was rated M and was made by Nintendo, and Twilight Princess may be given a new M rating if the wounds on monsters become visible, OoT on N64 was rated E but had things that were considered too gorey for American children(apparently skeletons and fleshless/bloody bones are too gorey for kids under 11 in the USA), and it was facing edits because the "atheist" crowd thought the music in the Fire Temple was filled with too much religious refrence, GROW UP! THE RELIGION IN THE ZELDA FRANCHISE IS THE GODDESSES AND THE TRIFORCE! ACCEPT YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CHANGE A VIDEO GAMES CONTENT OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH A THICK HARD-BOUND BOOK!
sorry for digressing but there are morons who preach "tolerance" to other peoples beleifs and try to beat religion out of everything, those people need to grow the ******** up!
but back on topic, Midway should put it's games as Nintendo exclusive, it would be worth the shelled out money.

Correction: Midway should make Nintendo-exclusive games. It wouldn't be fair if ALL of its games were exclusive to Nintendo systems, but definately make some original games for the system instead of lame a** ports. That would totally sell. razz

I enjoy fatalities as Scorpion, to rip Quan-chi's head from his carcass is most enjoyable. ^_^ I heard Onagas fate will be decided in the next MK, I hope it's Scorpions ending. ^_^ it was the coolest and has plenty of gore. ^_^ diving through Onaga hands first in a cool Dragon/Tiger rush ripping a person-sized hole in the Dragon King is definately a cool ending, and would be good for the fans to see Scorpion finally get credit, especially since Scorpion is a favorite amoung the creators. ^_^ even if MK remaind multiplatform, I'll still buy a Revolution and it's version of the next MK game to enjoy tearing Quan-Chi, Onaga, and other assorted heels in MK to peices. no doubt Midway will do something to give Nintendo a helping hand, you cant just spit in the eye and bite the hand that got you your start in the hearts of violence and gore loving gamers everywhere. it would be like suicide, murder, and terrorism with a hefty dose of racism.
