It was another typical day in the infirmary for Kofuku... although lately a typical day seemed to consist of waking up from a restless slumber and getting ready, eating hardly anything due to a lack of appetite, then going to work and zombie-walking her way through most of her cleaning duties and keeping her head down to avoid interactions.
At the moment, she was washing bedpans and making up some of the previously used rooms to prepare them for newer check ups. Her hair was hanging straight down her back, as she had been wearing it lately, and a pink-achu was sitting on the sink next to her, doing it's own best to help the Rocket with cleaning.

The good doctor had noticed that Kofuku had been dragging her feet lately. However, both of them had been too busy to even bring it up. The best she could do was try to keep the girl busy so as to take her mind off it. But if she continued to be so sulky, she wouldn't be of much use around there. Keeping patients' moral up was hard to do when your own was low.
"Kofuku, there's a patient that's come in for a follow up." Spoke Reyard as she suddenly appeared around the corner. "Go take care of it. The bed pans can wait." She offered a folder to the younger nurse that contained his charts.
"I personally don't have the patience to deal with him today."

"Yes ma'am." Kofuku turned her head to glance over her shoulder at the Good Doc, giving the older woman a small smile. She turned the water off, dried her hands on a towel, and looked to Ichigo. Taking a deep breath, she mustered up an little piece of joy she could find, mostly thoughts of chocolate and ice cream and other stupid little things, and pushed them to the surface along with a smile.
Taking the folder and opening it up, she sweatdroped, seeing exactly who this patient was. "Alright, I'll go get one of the rooms ready. Are you wanting him to stay on this particular pain medication?" Her mind wondered a bit as if trying to remind her of something relating to this particular person, and then her eyes widened. "OH, I have cookies for him too..." She said, more to herself than to the Doctor.

"If he needs it." The doctor said stoically. Although a slender brow lifted at her statement. "You made cookies... for Seth?" That wasn't exactly something that happened every day after all. She'd sooner think he'd use them as projectiles rather than eat them.
"I take it you've gotten over your fear of him, then?" That would certainly be some good news.

"Ichigo, go get them from my locker please; they're in a Tupperware box." She watched the pink-achu run off, then turned to Dr. Reyard with a grin at her reaction. "Well, considering the stuff that's gone on... I figure cookies could be a nice way of showing appreciation."
There was a pause at the doctor's last statement, then a shrug. "Oh, I'm still scared shitless of him, and I know he wouldn't hesitate to kill me if it came down to it, but I have a lot more respect for the man as well. And yes, he can be... unpleasant at times to be around, but he's still someone I should, and do, look up to and respect." Not to mention he was one of the few people she still felt like she could trust. "I'll have exam room 3 ready for him, and I'll let the front desk know." Giving the Doc one more smile, she walked out of the room, hardly looking at all like the moping grunt from before.

Well that was... interesting. Obviously something had happened to make Kofuku change her opinions of the grumpy elite. But the doctor didn't ask as she watched the nurse leave to do her duty. A small pleased smile appearing on her lips. Looks like the girl was finally starting to grow up. With that, she went back to her own duties.
Once the exam room was ready, Seth finally made his way back. A less than pleasant look on his face, but that was far from unusual. His right arm was still held in a sling, of which he was eager to get off.

Kofuku sat on the counter of the exam room, swinging her feet lightly while she waited for Seth to arrive. Once the Elite walked in, she immediately hopped off the counter top and saluted. "Good afternoon, Seth, sir. How is it you're feeling?"
Gesturing to the exam table, she kept her perky attitude up; Seth didn't need to know the turmoil in her... and it felt nice to be on the brighter side, even if it was an act. "Please, take a seat."

Seth scowled at the perky girl when she jumped off the counter. That was rather unprofessional. Didn't they try to keep things clean around here? Hard to do that when someone is sitting on a counter in their dirty scrubs.
The man just huffed when he was told to sit, and he did. "How the hell do you think I'm feeling?" He grumbled irritably, clearly displeased about being there.

There was something about Seth's scowl that brought a happy feeling to Kofuku; the fact that it was an action that she could count on to happen made her glad for the simple things... even if Seth wouldn't appreciate that his frowning face brought a sense of security to her.
"Well, considering you're here for a refill, I have my obvious guesses, but I'd rather hear from you what still hurts." Plus, considering that the medication he was currently on was highly addictive, she wanted to be careful before she just handed him another bottle of it.

Seth grimaced as he started to sigh, but thought better of it and let his breath out slowly with an annoyed grunt. "The ribs... the arm not as much." He muttered lowly, disliking having to explain himself to someone such as Kofuku.
The arm was doing much better than the cracked ribs. Either it was healing quicker or wasn't as damaged, he wasn't really sure.
And had he actually known that his scowl had made Kofuku happy, he would have thought she was going insane.

Looking over the notes in the folder for a moment, she set it down on the counter and very carefully removed the sling from Seth's arm. "Please let me know if you feel any pain or discomfort." Very carefully, she gave soft test squeezes up his arm, watching his facial reaction.
Around this time, the door was pushed open and Ichigo came in with a Tupperware container, jumping up onto the counter and setting it down, then turning to watch Kofuku, ready to help when needed.

Once the sling was removed, he slowly flexed the arm a bit. It was quite cumbersome to keep the thing in there, plus it didn't help that he couldn't write with it or anything else.
As Kofuku started probing the arm, he kept a straight face until she reached a certain spot. In which Seth grimaced slightly, but not much. Apparently that area was still a little sore.
The Pikachu entering the room gained the elite's attention for a moment as he gave it a glance. The thing was obnoxiously pink. Thus he could only stand to look at it for so long.

A very small frown came onto her face when Seth grimaced, and she noted the area before continuing up the arm to the elbow with the pressure. Stepping away, she glanced at Ichigo and smiled a little. "I'm going to need to take a look at your ribs now. Please unbutton your shirt."
Taking out a pen, she wrote a couple of notes down in the folder, hooking a long stray strand of hair.

There was another displeased grunt at the request, but he couldn't very well refuse. Thus with some agitation, he reached up and started unbuttoning his shirt from the collar down. He was wearing casual attire instead of his uniform, since he had the day off today.
Once the shirt was undone, it was revealed that there was still some nasty bruising along his chest and abdomen despite having been several days since the incident. Dark black and blue patches showing where the heavy Typhlosion's weight had crushed him against a rock. Although it was starting to fade, it still looked uncomfortable.

Kofuku watched Seth remove his shirt, noting exactly how he moved. She didn't even need to touch that rather dark and large bruise on his chest to know that it was still hurting. Turning to the pink-achu, she listed off a couple of items, and watched the little pink pokemon jump onto the floor and dash out to retrieve the items for her.
Turning back to Seth, she gave him a warm smile. "On top of the pain killers, I'm going to give you some salve to put on that bruise on your chest. It'll numb the area a bit, but more importantly it'll help that bruise go away. You can button your shirt back up now, unless you're wanting to put the salve on right away."
