The sun barely peeked over the trees, dew still glistening on the grass. It was early but it was the perfect time to set out on a hunt. A hunt was exactly what Quenthel was out to do. Not the typical hunt to find some food for the day, but one of adventure. The passionate uni was out to search for a story she had heard from a bunch of soq, the other day. The story was one of love and sadness. It was the story of a couple who were cursed by a jealous male. The lovers changed when the moon was in the sky or when the sun rose. The male turned into a wolf during the night and the female into a beautiful bird during the day. They would never be able to see each others faces in their natural form, unless the curse was broken. Quenthel thought the story was endearing and felt that the lovers should find some way to see each other or somehow the curse should be broken. The story ends without finding out what happened to the two of them. She wanted to know if the story was real and if so what happened. Who was this jealous male? Did he pay for what he did? Were they able to see each other one last time? Where did the story come from? All tales came from a seed of truth...didn't they? With a careful pace Quenthel went out to find out the true story of the lovers.

He couldn't decide if he should sleep a little longer or if he should finally shake the dew of his dark colored coat and find something to eat. Sleep seemed more appealing that was until the pink colored glasses slide off the edge of his nose and onto the ground. Just great... he thought as he glared at the now fuzzy pink blob out of all the things he could inherit from his father he got the luck of having the need for glasses. Doing the best he could he avoided stepping on them as he tried flex the muscles in his tail well enough to pick them up however as soon as he accomplished that he realized he had another problem. How was he going to get them back on his nose? Furrowing his brow he looked at them trying to see if he could extend his neck long enough to be able to reach the end of his tail, "almost.... alllmmoossttttt." Just as he could get the edge of his nose under the frame he dropped them again.
"Oh come on!" He cried annoyance. Just great now he was going to have to try this all over again, where was his siblings when he needed them? Away of course all on their own not to mention they bore their father's wings he on the other hand had his mother's gift. Flightless, on the brighter side she at least was always there when he needed her.

It wouldn't be longer before the edge of trees would disappear to open fields. Quenthel raced along the line between the forest and the fields. Okay, they wander the fields hoping to find someway or someone that could help them. At least that's what that version said. Her thoughts occupied the time until she reached the break of trees. The sun was even brighter here. It took a few seconds for her pale, smokey eyes to adjust to the light. With a few blinks and a shake of her head it was better. "Wow. I should have expected that."
Head held high, she scanned the terrain deciding on which way to go. In the distance a bit was another who seemed to be struggling. Quenthel looked back to the fields and decided to go help the other soq. As she moved closer, she was excited to see it was another Uni. Quenthel had not run into her own kind in a long time and it was such a relief. He seemed to be trying to get the small glasses on his face but wasn't able to. Quenthel smiled and moved to face the male uni. His colorings were similar to hers but he had such beautiful blue markings. Her thoughts could wait, he obviously needed help. "Hello. Do you need assistance?"

Loleki looked up to the source of the voice that had appeared while he was trying to put his glasses on, he couldn't tell exactly who or what it was other than a blob mass of black color. Nevertheless help was help and at this moment he needed it.
"Errr yes I do if you could get those pink glasses and them back on my nose that would be a great help, I'm a little blind without them," he said giving a bit of a silly smile to show his rather unforunately awkwardness. He did hope whoever it was didn't feel the need to step on them to crush them as a mean joke that would have been the worse of his luck. He wasn't sure where in the soquili lands he could get another pair, these were a gift from his father and he didn't have any to spare or at least not that he knew of.
"I'm sorry to bother you about this, really I am usually not this errr whats the word... lame? Yea lets go with that," he replied with a bit of a chuckle.

Quenthel laughed. "Don't worry about it. Things fall, that doesn't make you lame." She couldn't help herself, the poor stallion was in a bit of a predicament. "Oh, Hi by the way. I'm Quenthel." She nipped the little pink frames gently with her teeth. After placing it onto his nose Quenthel realized that may have not been the best idea. It was the first though and trying to use a stick wouldn't work well. She would feel so guilty if she dropped them or they broke. Her hope was that the stallion wouldn't mind, it wasn't like she slobbered all over them. A smirk crossed her mug at the thought. "What do you normally do when they fall?"
Before he could answer Quenthel looked around. There wasn't much around here. What was this stallion doing out here? Was his family home around here? Did he travel with his family? Maybe he was on a journey too. Quenthel thought about what kind of journey he would be on. Maybe he was a knight and there was a maiden out there. That doesn't seem right, he's seems to be the traveler, not a knight. "What brings you out here?"

Giving a few blinks Loleki looked at the figure that had helped it was a uni mare with rather light colored eyes. At least it was someone pretty or so his father would have commented (and then again he would have been hit my his mother) though he wouldn't know what he would do if it was an ugly mare. In which raised the question if there was really such than as an ugly mare he wasn't sure he hadn't really met a lot so there was a possibility however he hoped not.
"Thank you Quenthel, I'm Loleki Kuroidoragon, but you can just call me Loleki for short, the last name is more of my father's idea to keep his heritage going." He replied with a bit of a grin, "they don't usually fall off and when they do usually one of my siblings or maybe one of my parents would help me out but obviously there aren't any where to be found when I need them. More to say I am just not around them out of choice at the moment." He found at least the he didn't get tongue twisted in chatting to mare but he felt as if he was rambling on more than he needed.
"I guess you could say looking for a bit of an adventure is what brought me out here."

The glasses fit Loleki. At least the idea Quenthel had of those with glasses. He seemed friendly and probably had a sense of humor. These were just assumptions as the female just met him. Keep the heritage going? Was he part of a special family? She wondered why he didn't want to be around his family at that moment. Quenthel thought back to when she told hers that she wanted to travel and how the dark mare wouldn't be see them again. It didn't seem like this was the case with Loleki. The thought of adventure brought Quen out of her own thoughts. "Adventure. What kind of adventure? I'm on one myself, is why I ask. I'm trying to see if this story I heard is real. Tales have something they spawned from....at least most of the time. It's this one about two lovers who were cursed by a jealous male. The male made it so that the lovers would never be able to see each other in their natural forms again. It's really sad, but I want to know what happened to them if it is real. The story doesn't have an ending....or at least the one whole told me it didn't know the ending. Do you happen to know it?"
It didn't occur to Quenthel that she may talk to much. Hopefully it wouldn't frighten Loleki away. Maybe he would like to join in on her adventure, or had on himself that would be a lot of fun to be on. Oooo what kind of adventure did he have planned. Quenthel happily pranced in place.
