Vivi never really thinks about something before she does it. To hell with the consequences! She'll do what she wants, when she wants. Don't like it? Tell it to somebody who cares. She lives her life the way she wants to, and that's without you.
She doesn't allow anybody other than Matt into her life, and no matter how hard you try, you'll never earn her trust. On top of that, Matt being the only person allowed in her life, she's quite protective of him and won't let anything happen to him. Ever.

Vivi grew up in a hard family. With a dad who didn't care and an uncle who took sexual interest in her, she didn't grow up to her fullest potential. Her older brother Matt was the only one who cared enough to do anything to help her. He'd often take her with him to go to the corner store or to the park. Because of this, she idealized him in her mind as her Prince Charming, always coming to her rescue. This is where, in her young mind, her feelings for him warped, turning from loving him like a brother to loving him like a lover.
She makes it obvious, too. She has absolutely no shame in reaching over and holding his hand, or stealing a kiss. It makes her a little upset that he doesn't hold her hand back, or give a kiss to her, but it's better than being pushed away, right?
She's caught up in the quest for survival when she accompanies Matt to get stitches. The girl finds syringes, and having no idea what they do, decided to use it as a temporary weapon until she finds something better.
