((Hi I can't make titles I'm sorry orz))
Today, Berfortoto was lazing around a small stream. It wasn't much of an interesting place, and the stream was extremely small, but was still capable of wading around in. The male sat there, watching the water stream by, wondering if he should at least try and wade around or just sit here the whole day and do nothing. What should he do? he half-mused to himself.

Zatzia was on the move again, streaking against the horizon as a bright red and yellow streak upon lush green lands. There was grass everywhere, growing and sprouting bringing with it the droves of buffalo, gazelles and other prey beasts that gave her the opportunity to eat well. She was quick, and despite being not very stealthy she managed to take down more than her fair share of beasts. In fact, one could even say that her odd sense of generosity had made it easier on those who passed by. In reality she just liked the thrill. The thrill of killing and how frightened the prey seemed of her when she went after them.
"YEAH. RUN. RUN FASTER," Zatzia yelled, a smile across her face as she chased after a young looking gazelle. It was heading straight for Berfortoto, and although she saw him there enjoying his quite time, the scent of the frightened gazelle was much more alluring.
Water hit her paws and her face as the gazelle went down in front of her, having gotten its leg stuck in between some rocks and snapped it. When it went down Zatzia went in for the kill, panting heavily before she finally quieted and starred at Berfortoto quietly, "... You want this? I don't."

"W-woaaah!" Berfertoto rolled over rather quickly, narrowing missing the gazelle's hooves on his back. Confused, he stared at the sudden commotion, wondering what in the world was going on. He heard a female's voice not too faraway, and saw a brightly colored cheetah zipping about chasing the gazelles around. The lion watched, still on his side as he watched her kill the gazelle that had unfortunately broken its leg in the scramble.
"Uh..." he continued to stare at Zatzia, not knowing what to say as he was still a bit surprised at all the commotion she had caused. Berfortoto stared at the fresh gazelle and felt his stomach grumble. Well, she probably heard it grumble too. "Yeah...sure I guess." he said sheepishly.

Zatzia listened to the male lion's stomach growl before her as he sheepishly conceded that he wanted the kill she had made. After starring at him for several seconds she busted out laughing like she was some sort of hyena. His dazed and confused look was the funniest thing she had seen some day and it caused a roar of delight in her soul that could only be compatible with her overwhelming need to kill things aside from just to feed.
"You should see your face," Zatzia said, all the while her smile growing wider and wider in amusement as she stared at the male's face. He really looked funny to her.
Grabbing the gazelle by its neck, Zatzia chucked the prey beast towards the male lion before her, her grin still plastered smoothly onto her face, "It seems on the young side, so I don't know how much real muscle there is in comparison to fat."

Berfortoto couldn't help but recoil into himself when the cheetah started to howl with laughter. "You should ah...see your face too." he said, chuckling a bit nervously with her, 'She's pretty scary...' he thought to himself, eyeing the female a bit cautiously. Hopefully she wouldn't kill him like how she killed the gazelle. Oh no, the thought horrified him. If he was killed now, how would he continue his family's line? Well, he had a bunch of brothers, but he was the best looking one out of them. The male started to edge away slowly from Zatzia, keeping an eye on her movements. He was a bit bigger than her...so he could probably fight her off...but she was much faster and leggier. Suddenly, Berfortoto couldn't help but feel like a stumpy-legged child next to the more leggier cheetah.
"...I...could fight you." he challenged awkwardly, prepared to fight with his terrible fighting skills once she attacked. Bending his neck down slowly, the male's eyes were still on the cheetah as he dug into the gazelle's soft side. Mmm. That was the kind of meat he liked.

Zatzia starred at the lion straight faced for a moment, her head crooking to the side before busting out laughing in a fit that could only be compared to that of a hyena's. Was this male serious? Fight her?
"That's funny. You're funny," Zatzia said, a big grin plastered across her face in an unsettling manner.
The boisterous cheetah thought the lion was joking with her. Why would he have any reason to be serious, was her line of reasoning. She had just offered him a kill that was technically hers, but she didn't need. If anything she was being extremely friendly and courteous to a stranger, so there was no reason for her to think he meant her any actual harm.

Berfortoto's brow couldn't help but twitch. Perhaps she was a psychotic killer that would lure him in with friendliness and then kill him when he was sleeping. Where he was getting these crazy ideas from, he had no idea. He hungrily finished his fill, though. Not even a crazy female cheetah would prevent him from eating free lunch.
His jaw covered in blood, he continued to eye Zatzia, "How do I know you're not going to kill me later? They way you did this?" he pointed at the carcass that she had so flawlessly killed earlier.

"... Because I'm smaller than you?" Zatzia said, her smile fading and her head tilting to the side at his words. My what a silly lion this was, thinking a cheetah, a female even, could potentially be a threat to her. If anything he was the dangerous one in this scenario, not that Zatzia cared.
"I mean... LOOKIT ME." She said, with a small huff as she moved next to the lion and literally looked up at him. "I have to look up to see your face. Do you really think I'm going to kill you?"
She starred him down for several moments before she gave him a smile. She was an oddball alright, but at least she was a benign oddball?

"Y-yeah well..." Berfortoto tried to find another reason other than for her brutal killing of the poor creature. "Bah." he sighed, giving up. He couldn't find a good reason at all. That and he was terrible at arguing and debating over mindless subjects.
"At least I'm good-looking." he said with a grin, preferring to change the subject rather than mulling over it. And he was pretty good at that. That and making others feel good about themselves. And being good-looking while charming the ladies. Because the cheetah girl was pretty cute.
"You're cute." he said, voicing his thoughts.

Zatzia grinned wider and chuckled at the lion. He was a funny guy, and she couldn't dispute the fact he was good looking. Even though he was mostly grays, his eyes were bright blue and he has such pretty bold colors on his back. They reminded her of her own bold colors.
Zatzia gave him a quizzical look before smiling a bit bashfully. No one had ever told her she was cute before. Loud, sure. Annoying, definitely. Cute? That was a new one, and it was very flattering to the brightly colored cheetah.
"My name is Zatzia," She said, "What's your name Mr. Lion?"

Berfortoto was very glad that she had dismissed the subject, finding it amusing to find the cheetah bashful. She might've just gotten cuter to him. "I'm Berfortoto." he said with great flourish, "But you can call me anything you'd like. I don't really mind." unless if she called him booger-face or something. He might be a little sad about that.
"Zatzia." he repeated, and smiled, looking much like a little cub, "Pretty name." he'd always liked how 'z's sounded, as it was such a fun sound to make.

"Berfortoto," She repeated, much in the same manner he had repeated her name. "Berf. Bert. Berfto. Berto. Ortoto... Oto."
Zatzia shook her head. None of those sounded right. None but his real name. She would stick with that for now. Giving him another smile Zatzia looked at his bright colored markings on his back for a moment before speaking again.
"So you are cute too and I like you. We should be friends," She said grinning, "And friends travel together, os can I travel with you?"

Berfortoto couldn't help but tilt his head, wondering what new name she was going to create for him. Sadly none came as Zatzia went through every part of his name. He was a little sad that he wouldn't have a new name to go by, but he'd get over it quickly.
"Really?" he grinned, "You think I'm cute?" he stretched himself out to his full size, which really wasn't that much as he wasn't as big as some males were. Unfortunately he was a bit on the smaller side, but it didn't matter to him cause Zatzia was smaller than him which made everything okay. He blinked rapidly for a moment, her question completely unexpected. He had never really travelled with anyone, and no one had ever asked to travel with him before. Berfortoto let out a small laugh, trying his best to not show his excitement; he didn't want to scare her off.
"O-of course! I would love to travel with you!"
