Attor had been quick to pick up on who is who in the Slytherin world. It didn't take him long find his first potential friend. Tynan R Frost was a quite boy one that seemed to be quite shy. Perhaps if Attor played this right Tynan would latch to him. Attor had always had a knack for telling what type of a person someone was. It worked in the gatherings his family would always have. He was the spot light among all the younger folks and it was his goal to do it here to. Not just here though Attor had high hopes for his future.
Making his way through the common room he spotted Tynan sitting on the couch. He moved across the room and sat beside him not saying anything for a moment before turning to him. "Hello Frost, how are you today?"

Ty was for once in the common room. There were hardly any others in the common room tonight, he didn't know what but there wasn't many there. He was sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket he had brought down to keep warm as he read his new book on plants by the fireplace. He was just expecting to be left alone, he always was left alone unless Violet was in the common room as well.
He was about to turn the page, enjoying his new book, when someone sat next to him and spoke! They spoke to him! He jumped and the book fell from his hands as he cowered on the couch. This one? Attor was one of the popular bully's in the Slytherin room. He wasn't that nice from what he knew of the male and knew that he didn't like most all of the other house's. He bit his lip a little and leaned forward to grab his book. "H-Hi Attor..." he sad softly as he pulled the book close and whimpered wondering what this male wanted from him.

Ah yes just as he expected his reputation proceeded itself as it should. Though the boy could just be naturally jumpy which really didn't bother Attor. He relaxed into the cushions sinking down just slightly. His aim was to look up at Ty slightly as to not over bare on the shy boy.
"Sorry didn't mean to scare you, Frost. Should I call you Frost or would you rather me call you Tynan?" Attor gave Ty a warm smile while checking out the book he held. "Herbology right? That's not one of the books we're required to have is it? Cause I don't think I have that one.....I like herbology, but it doesn't feel the same about me." Attor said with a laugh. "I was trying to do some extra studying on it the other day. Im some what fascinated by the properties of the mandrakes. How about you? Got any favorites?" Attor hoped he wasn't pushing the small talk to much. Though he liked to be the talker while someone else listened, he wanted Ty to feel comfortable right now.

Ty watched him and was very confused why he was wanting to talk to him at all. This was strange...no onebut Violet talked to him here, unless they were picking on him. He shook his head. "T-Ty please. I...I don't like my last name it reminds me of my dad and thats what they call him." He said softly as he looked down at the book in his hands. "Its not required i ju-ju-just like to read everything i can on plants." he said with a smile as he looked around wondering if someone had put Attor up to talking to him.
"I...I like too many to name. Though i love Care of m-magical creatures more. I wish i could see the Threstrals in the forest but i...i think i would be too scared to see someone die in order to do that." he said with a frown as he looked around again wondering when the joke was going to be pulled on him.

"No problem Ty." Attor's face changed a little at the word father. He did not like that word very much or who it reminded him of. "I know what you mean I do the same for D.A.D.A. ." Attor said nodding his head. There really weren't that many people left around at that point and the ones that were, weren't paying attention to them.
"None of particular interest?" Attor seemed to light up a bit Herbology he didn't get so much, but C.o.M.C he got for sure. "I like Care of Magical Creatures a lot, specially any in the snake category. Sort of stereotypical of a Slytherin to like snakes though I suppose....." The last part of Ty's sentence caught up with Attor and he looked away from Ty seemingly pulled into a memory for a moment. "Yeah...they are pretty amazing looking creatures...but I wish I didn't see them. They're some what haunting." Attor sounded very serious. Ok wait this was to familiar, how was he able to talk about something like that with Ty. He should have just said "Yeah sure would be interesting to see them.", but no Attor admitted to seeing them. "So!" Attor said snapping back to a happy face."Were you worried during the sorting? I pretty much knew I would be in Slytherin though I was still worried that I would get sorted into something else and my family would kill me." Attor said with a laugh though it might have been a possibility with the was his father was.

Ty watched him as he pulled the blanket up around his shoulders. This one liked to talk a lot. He was interesting he guessed to say the least but he was still sure that the male was going to have some others jump out and hex him and beat him up or take his book or something. He held the book close and watched him. "I hate D.A.D.A i'm no good at it. But...I love snakes too. Its...one of my only Slytherin traits cause i'm rather useless as one as far as everyone is concerned. I have a snake at home my dad got me when i got my letter." he said softly.
Looking away he thought about what the other was asking. "I guess i was worried a little. I was hoping i would be a R-Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff cause i-i knew i wouldn't fit in in this...house even though the last 3 generations of wizards in my m-mom and dads family have been Slytherins and i 'had' to be one too." he said softly. "H-Honestly i dont know why im here if i'm not like all t-the others." he said softly as he sighed. "D-Dad wants me to be tougher but...I..I don't know how to be that."

"I could help you with D.A.D.A. if you'll help me with Herbology there is a lot I don't understand and you say you like it so I bet you could help me out. D.A.D.A. was something dad started us early with so it comes easily to me. I've got four snakes, had to work my butt off for three of them dad doesn't believe in gifts. The forth I named her Nightinggale, she just appeared on the tree outside my window one day so I caught her. A pine snake of all things didn't even think they were in my area and they're rare. It was either a hidden gift from my mother or a neighbor lost one." Attor could tell he liked Ty's company, he didn't feel like he had to impress him or keep his guard up.
"There are different types of Slytherin. Just cause you don't act like me or the other guys, doesn't mean you aren't a Slytherin. You're nose isn't in your butt so you can't be a Ravenclaw." Attor huffed with a laugh. "And you seem to have your head on strait so you can't be a Hufflepuff. And I naturally hate Gryffindors so you can be that either. Leaves Slytherin do't it, but hey the hat never makes mistakes. There is something deep down that the hat saw it wouldn't have placed you here just to make you suffer. Don't worry one day you'll find out why you're here, maybe it is to make you stronger. Fitting in is not always a good thing if you ask me." Attor smiled to Ty he was a firm believer in everything he just said.

Ty blushed and shrugged. "I dunno...Im pretty bad at it i don't want to hurt you." he said. though mostly there was someone who had said she would help him. But she was a Gryffindor so he wasn't sure he could tell Attor that she was helping him. "I'm helping alot of people her Herbology though." he said with a small laugh. "Its really not that hard." he said with a nod. "I guess we could help e-each other a little." he said softly as he watched the other with a smile. "Four snakes! oh wow! What are they all! Mines just a corn snake but dad had her enchanted so that shes Green and Gold with red eyes and a black belly. Said he wanted her to be a Slytherin just like me." he said with a shrug. "Her name is Nygis."
He wasn't sure how to take all this stuff the other was saying about the other houses. He had met a Ravenclaw he actually really liked and they were friends. He didn't think Elliot was snooty at all. He would leave that out though cause he kind of wanted a friend who was in his house and not just Violet. "Y-Yeah...the other house's can be rather annoying. A Gryffindor made me spill my ink all over my Potions essay once. She fixed it but she still had given me a heart a-attack and m-made a mess all over." he said softly.

"We can ask the teacher and use the dummies for practice, plus a lot of its text anyways....I got some books that aren't the recommended ones that will help. The more you know about it the more you'll understand why you're doing what you're doing to defend yourself." There was that serious look again he took that class and teaching it to those he considered friends very seriously. "That be great." Attor said smiling back.
"Sounds cool, Ive got a black rat snake his name is Duke, and I've got an fancy corn snake, you know the one with the lighter colors, her name is Katrisia, and then there is my 10 foot long piebalds ball python I named him Quetzalcoatl." Attor beamed while talking about his snakes he loved them so!
"Don't get me started." Attor laughed thinking of the many reasons he didn't like Gyffindors. "The other houses I can tolerate, but the red and gold get under me skin. Its like they think they own the place sometimes. Enough about houses though. What other things do you like?" Attor had almost forgotten this was originally about adding someone smart to his collection. He was enjoying himself, talking to this shy boy. They seemed to have a bit in common.

Ty looked at him and nodded a little. He played with his book cover a little and nodded. "Y-yes i...i understand but im no good at it and i don't like to fight..." he said softly as he looked at the other and looked away with a frown. Why was he talking to him? Really? If no one was coming to hurt him or mess with him then how was he here talking to the male who might as well have been a window towards everyone else in his house.
"Those are wonderful names for your snakes." he hoped to meet them one day. And a 10 foot python...wow that had to be amazing to see! He looked at him as he talked about the other house and laughed a little hiding it with his hand. "Oh other things? Mmm now that I'm learning Charms i enjoy working on my charm spells a lot. I'm also trying to spend a lot of time with the Care of Magical Creatures teacher so i can learn a lot about the animals."

Attor nodded but still gave him a bit of a concerned look. "Sometimes things happen that make a wizard have to fight or die. You dont have to like fighting or be good at it, but you best know how to defend yourself, ok Ty? " He didn't say it in a threatening or demanding way he said it as though he had none Ty for a long time and was actually worried for his safety and in away Attor was. It had only been a short talk, but Attor already felt protective over Ty.
"Thank you, they're my closest friends back home. Not any wizards my age where we live. My father had parties and such and I had many friends there then, but everyday life was different. Maybe some time you can come meet them? I bet Quetzalcoatl would like you, you're some what quite, he doesn't like loud people." He didn't mean anything by the quite comment he liked it too actually.
" I'm decent at charms enjoying learning more for sure! Can't wait till the care of magical creatures gets a little more advanced, personally the stuff they're teaching right now I pretty much know already, how about you?" Attor asking before thinking of something important he needed to say....."Do you like Chocolate frog cards?! If ya do I've got a spare Heathcote Barbary you could have if you don't have it already. I love the cards myself." Well to an elven year old it was important anyways.

Ty played with his blanket and smiled a little. "Yeah i know. I...I'll do that when it comes to that i just...We're 11 im not ready to go off fighting people now." he said with a blush as he looked at the other. He didn't like admitting that he was weak. He was such a let down to his father, his family and everyone. He was sure he would let Attor down eventually.
"Nygis is my only friend at home besides out gardener that i help out sometimes with the yard." he said softly as he let the other talk and keep talking. He didn't like to talk cause when he did for too long he normally stammered and got all tongue tied or he thought he said stupid things after a while. "I...I don't think ive ever done anything loud since i was 7 and broke my leg when i fell from a tree." he said softly.
Ty smirked a little and laughed softly. "I love charms now that im learning them. And i agree i need it to be a little more challenging cause flubber worms only keep my interest for so long." he said with a smile. "Chocolate frog cards? My dad never let me have them cause 'candy is for babies and your not a baby right?' is what he would say when i asked for some." he said softly. And he hadn't had any friends here ask him if he wanted one. "Ive seen the cards though but i don't have any my self."

Attor gave off a laugh before speaking. "Im elven too you know. I'm not looking to fight anyone. Besides DADA isn't just about fighting you know. Its about defense, ok first lesson Ty! What is the DADA, its not dueling class or speed trails on drawing your wand. It teaching you about stuff you could run into, like vampires, zombies, werewolves, boggarts, and many other creatures of the darker types out there. It teaches you about them and then what to do if you ever ran into one, ya know what I'm sayin'?" His father would have grimaced at the grammar he had just used there. "But don't worry so much as far as I've found out its all text books the first year. It's not till we're older that we start possibly facing some of the creatures and learning to duel. Though I must admit dueling looks kind of fun." Attor said rambling on about one of his favorite subjects.
Attor couldn't help but laugh again. "Well that would be a right good time to be loud now wouldn't it? "
"Agreed my friend...I wanna see a hippogriff one day or even dragon. Always wanted to see in person what my wand's core came from. " Attor mused for a moment before swinging into the chocolate frogs thing. "Well we will fix both problems now won't we? One of the perks of school is nooooo parents!" Attor said pulling out a bag he always carried with him. It held all his extra wizard cards and the occasional chocolate frog. Ty was lucky that there was still another frog left in the bag. He pulled out the hexegon shaped box and handed it to Ty. "Be sure to catch it when you open it and you can keep the card to less its Mirabella Plunkett still looking for that one." Attor said before thumbing through his extra cards deciding which to give to Ty and which to keep for trading purposes.
