My name's Alex, and I'm 16 years old. I've been active with computers for a good three or four years. I major in web development, and as such, I know XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, SQL, and I'm working on CGI, Perl, and XML. Sooner or later I'll get around to doing some ActionScript, as I'll need a few good flash pieces to incorporate into a website I've got going.
I'm enrolled in an Information Technology course at a vocational school, but since it's a first year class, it's still very basic, and I'm more of a teacher aid than a student. Next year it'll deal a bit with C, C++, and Java, so that sounds pretty decent. ^^
I'm decent with networking. I'm able to set up some home / office networks, and I know the basics of ports, UPnP, triggers, and things like that. I can bridge networks too, but I'm not one to tell if that's a great accomplishment or not. XD
I'll most likely be able to help anybody with web scripts if they need it~ 3nodding

-------------------------------- My name - won't tell it, sounds too sucky and to frenchy sweatdrop Anyways, I'm 14, yeah, 14 (that's also the font size I'm using right now lol ). Recently founded TechSpeak, it'd be nice if you registered and posted some stuff once in a while mrgreen - we're not that small, we'll reach 4000 posts very soon. OK back to the subject : me. College Student, what did you expect ? xd Actually I am also a teacher aid sometimes... I know the msot useful web languages out there, ie (X or D, as you wish)HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP/MySQL, and some veeerrryyy tiny bit of ActionScript, but my needs are never too complicated - have a look at my mushroom overlord, not more than 3 kind of commands have been used xd . I know C++'s principles, I guess you know what I mean... I'm capable of doing very modest MFC and console applications using it. I have some better knowledge in Visual Basic, although it's still quite negligeable. Python will probably be my next non-web language. My latest finished creation : My URL Redirector. --------------------------------

Heyas, I'm David, 16 years old almost 17. Currently going to highschool. I have taught myself PHP, C++, parts of C, JavaScript and HTML seeing as you guys are counting it as a real language razz .
Know some Visual Basic 6 and Visual Basic.NET, plan on learning JAVA, C# and J# here in a few months.
Currently working on a PHP project, basically a back-end admin site that allows you to edit files. Unfortunatly i'm having problems with the file browser...

Hello, my name is Mark. I'm 19 and I've started programming since I was 7 sweatdrop
Yeah, my dad started teaching me QuickBasic before I even got rid of my security blanket. From QuickBasic I moved onto Visual Basic. Not a big fan of either anymore, especially after Microsoft turned VB into VB.NET. My God did they crappify that language. Now I spend most of my days working with C/C++. I also do web design.
So far I know (in the order in which I learned them): QuickBasic Visual Basic HTML CSS C Javascript C++ Java
In early 2000 I started a Dev group for palm tops, so I've worked with other platforms as well. Working with palm tops is very fun and challenging, especially a platform where official support is limited.
Anyway, before I ramble on any longer... I consider programming a very fun hobby, and an even better profession.

Wow, this is kind of intimidating. You are all so majorly qualified. sweatdrop
I'm a beginner, plain and simple. My name is Casey (I'm a girl), I'm 14 and I am taking my first programming class: Visual Basic (and a little bit of Java). I've never dabbled in programming or hardware before this year, but I joined this guild because I'm really really enjoying vb and thought I could learn some things about the programming world here.
