Sign up information: This is the thread to post for event sign ups for Part 2 of the TiH Metaplot. YOU DO NOT need to know anything about the current setting to participate. In fact, you barely need any TiH shop knowledge (it is recommended, but not required)!
- You are free to sign up EVEN if you own a student.
- At any point in time, a GM can AND WILL intervene with your RPs, please RP accordingly to what the GM posts. For example, if a GM posts a battle post, please read the general event rules on how to battle and respond accordingly.
- A LOT of the characters that can be obtained from this event are premade from our artists. However, these have no personality, names, identities, or anything! This is all up to YOU to create if you win that character! Please be comfortable with this.
- If you win a character but think they are not to your RP style, you are free to decline your winnings. This is the same as forfeiting your prize, and your won character will go the next eligible winner.
- All characters in this event are considered non residents of Halloween. You guess what that means. Do to this do not give your character when RPing, any "special features" such as wings, horns, tails, etcetc as they will earn these with the right conditions! For now, please refrain from these.
- Once again, if you have questions and comments, please post them here
Sign up RULES: - PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP with a questing student! There will be an event for questing students later, but not in this metaplot!
- exclaim We recommend you create a new character for this event.
- You are responsible for reading all posts and material properly, though we will try our best to make things as clear and obvious as possible.
- In order to sign up you must be willing to at least try roleplaying in TiH, have strong instruction and general reading skills, and be able to respond within at the longest 48 hours notice of certain events. If you think you will be too busy for the duration of the event or need to go on hiatus halfway throughout the event, PLEASE LET the staff know. This is a very intense but rewarding metaplot event, a lot of people who sign up will walk away with an official character, but only if they work for it!
- There will be no need to maintain your character's history in the meta, please remember that they remember nothing. Your character ICly remembers NOTHING about their past, not even their name! Also, mention a green suitcase somewhere in your answer regarding the writing check.
- Failure to read and follow these rules may result in the GMs requesting that you please do not post anywhere from 24 hours to the entire duration of the event. Yes, this means you CAN get greylisted or blacklisted in this event. : (

Name: Jared
Personality: Jared is a gloomy, pessimistic teenager who seems to be a walking example of Murphy's Law. He has the worst luck of anyone he knows, and therefore tends to assume that everything is going to go wrong for him. Even if something's going well, he's quite certain that it's a disaster waiting to happen. It's not paranoia if the world really is out to get you, right?
A bit about him: Jared's not quite sure how he got here, nor does he remember much about what happened beforehand. He sort of thinks he was on a trip of some sort, perhaps a train trip; he is wearing a heavy coat, but he doesn't know where his luggage has gone. He's sure he had a green suitcase, but it's nowhere to be found. He's confused and not terribly happy about it. His next accident is going to happen any minute now.

Name: Demyan Moss
Age: Looks about 15
Race: Kelpie
Personality: Demyan is a bit of a Casanova, he loves the ladies. Full of charm and good looks he makes his job of luring young women into the waters and ravaging them beneath the surface an easy feat. He is cocky and full of himself so most other males find him hard to get along with but he is honestly a pleasant guy to hang out with as long as you don't have a pretty girlfriend... well a girlfriend at all. School interests him little and he thinks flirting and chatting in class is a much better use of his time. For his monster niche he is actually quite effective, and he's not a bad guy to have on your team. Especially when the people you are facing are female or even feminine type males
History: Growing up in the highland locks of the monster realm with his parents and only sister, he had a pretty good life. When overcrowding reached even his little corner of the Halloween world his parents decided he should probably get some training at the academy to ensure the continuation of his family line in the monster world. His sister is still young and has no interest in coming to the academy she figures her good looks from her mother will get her a husband when its needed. Demyan and his sister have a close bond and write frequently, while he himself is a bit of a womanizer if anyone decided to fancy his baby sister they would run into a whole lot of horse flesh to deal with.
Quirks: He would never let the ladies know but he is an avid comic book reader and has a fair collection in a locked trunk under his bed. He wears the key around his neck.

Name: Hoofer
Profile: Loosing her mind to a tragic incident many years back, Hoofer now shows no signs of sanity or good judgement. The quiet and shy girl way back has been completely erased and has now been replaced with a barbaric and loud-mouthed girl who often throws herself into laughing fits. All her insanity aside, she does display a sly and mysterious face at times. Hoofer is known to be surprizingly manipulative, in which her motives for such behaviour is currently unclear.
How much of your sign up characters past, name, and history do they remember?: Not much, she's nuts. But a slight mention of a terrible incident surrounding her does make her snap into a mental breakdown.

Personality: Like, omigawd, Kiara Lynn is totally the most popular girl in school, you lamer! How can you not already know everything about her? She has a wardrobe, like, the size of your bedroom! And like, everyone loves her! Unless you're a nerd, gawwwwwwwwd.

She's a valley girl. Kind of the valley girl to end all valley girls. She's the epitome of the popular airheaded high schooler. Also, she can do a pretty good Mean Girls impression if you piss her off. Expect her to freak out a hell of a lot. Especially if she breaks a nail or loses her green suitcase, gawd that had EVERYTHING in it, how will she cope?! SHE NEEDS AT LEAST TWO CHANGES OF CLOTHES PER DAY, GUYS!!
A little about her: Kiara Lynn loves mani/pedis, being popular, going to the mall, boys (only the hot ones), smoothies, chick flicks, holiday weekends, and long walks on the beach. She has disdain for nerds, unpopular people, broken nails, steak, minor inconvenience, major inconvenience, and anything not revolving around her.

Name: Veryn
Personality: Veryn is the cold, calm individual that loves to sneer down his nose at others. Veryn is given to calculated action, and tends to look before he leaps - a plotter and a schemer, he can see the tactical advantages in a situation and then make his move.Though he possesses the mindset that he doesn't really care what others think of him, Veryn only behaves in such a manner because of the general contempt in which he holds others around him, and even his own kin at times.Veryn also likes to be in control of the situation, being something of a power-monger, this lusting for power of any kind has often gotten him into more trouble than he bargained for, and oft set him at odds with those about him, even those that he would usually view with tender emotion.However, he does have his little oddities…being a fan of good wine, classic literature, and lavish furnishings in the most traditional of styles (at least, he dimly recalls suchly), Veryn is a fellow of class and sophistication, with a broad vocabulary and a certain disdain for uncouth speech. Oft selfish, Veryn is a very anti-social person as well, disliking the company of most others...though he will use them in order to serve his ends. He does, however, have a certain self-loathing streak that he really can't pinpoint the origins of just now.

Pete decided to make a run for it, green suitcase in hand. He was never a coward, and definitely not one to give up. But he had never imagined that his life would reach this point, not him. Not this suddenly. Not now, with goals within reach and a life filled with challenge and satisfaction waiting just two steps forward. This was his time. His place. He had been facing down his best achievements. And it was now...his greatest loss, as well. The only thing he had left at this point was survival. Hope to gain it all back would have to wait. For now, all he could do is place one foot in front of the other and pray not to fall.

Tedan is something of a flamboyant person. If something can be said in two words? He'll say it in about five. Or maybe ten, that'd be even better! He loves a good challenge and anyone who meets him will learn really damn fast that he'll never turn down a dare - no matter what it is. He's a terrible person to make an enemy of ... if you piss him off, or mess with his buddies, he'll hunt your a** down and MAKE you sorry.
As for said buddies, Tedan makes friends incredibly easily, his general personality being outgoing and sociable. He knows how to talk to people, get them to trust him and open up to him. And hey, if you're willing to talk to him and spend some time ... you're his buddy, simple as that! Deeper friendships are a little harder to come by, but those people he holds even closer. People and things that are important to him, he'll never let go of - even at the cost of his own well-being.
Tedan also almost always seems to be running a mile a minute - in just about everything he does. He never sits still, hardly ever is serious ... he's on fire for life! And speaking of fire. Yeaaaa he's just a bit of a pyro, did we mention that? Don't touch his green suitcase, that's got the accelarant and the matches in it. Maybe. Who knows, really .... Just don't mess with it, okay?

Name: Edgar
Personality: Edgar doesn't ever remember laughing. Perhaps it's because of the island, but Edgar always seems to keep things serious. Sarcasm is lost on him, and he takes things to a degree of literalism that is almost frightening at times. He loves to consider himself a detective, searching for clues to some big conspiracy theory that most likely is just as ridiculous as his failure to comprehend sarcasm.
It is difficult for him to make friends because of his sense of humor (none), but he does tend to cherish them... especially if they put up with his serious business.
History: Edgar remembers falling. He wasn't sure whether he tumbled from a side, upward, downward, nothing. Everything was topsy-turvy-- it could have been from some flying contraption, a boat, some sort of vehicle... but all that Edgar knows is that he fell, and then he was on the island. He was pretty sure he had a green suitcase with him, but it must have been lost in the fall. That made him rather sad, as he was fairly certain that there was a notebook in there... Edgar liked to take notes about everything, and it was difficult to take notes if there was no surface to write the notes on.
How much of your sign up characters past, name, and history do they remember?: Almost none, not even his name. He just calls himself Edgar because, well, it's difficult to not call yourself something.

Robert's just a city boy, born and raised in south detr- .. actually, he doesn't even remember where he was raised. There's little that sticks in Robert's mind, other than whatever is in front of him. His current past-times include any kind of sports, hanging out with friends, playing some music, or staring at pretty girls. He likes girls. They're pretty. They're also soft. Sometimes, they call him pretty. Robert would rather he be called handsome, but he'd never argue with a pretty girl. He'd rather just carry her luggage everywhere. All he has to his name is his green suitcase, anyway - and it always pays to be nice to the ladies.
Robert isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He tends to slack as much as possible, and get away with doing only the minimal amount of work on things like studies and homework. He just barely manages to skim by. Life is fraughtless when you're thoughtless. Those who don't try never look foolish!

Name: Abraham
Personality: Abraham is incredibly agreeable. He will do anything that is asked of him within reason and without vocal complaint. He loves to help others and see them smile, but for the most part, he just ends being a door-mat for people to walk all over. Though he winds up doing the bidding of others, Abe isn’t gullible. He simply just wants to avoid conflict with others at all costs since he is very adept or well equipped to deal with aggressive or assertive social situation. Personal interactions are actually quite taxing for him as he isn’t the most secure young man. One to take criticism to heart, Abraham stands on shaky ground with others and tries to hide this fact through reliability and generosity. Abe’s goals and desires are ignored since others are used to having him around to aid in their endeavors and he lacks the backbone to argue against someone who has made a demand. However, this isn’t to say he won’t get something done for himself. If he can find a path that not only aides others, but also himself, that direction will be his top priority. While he strives to please, he will find a way in the end to get what he wants. The downside is he will spend a great deal of time making sure he doesn’t step on anyone’s toes in order to reach his goals. Abe’s better qualities are his reliability and his kind-hearted nature, but he is still a very insecure teenager that is constantly looking for social approval.
Abe is completely unsure of how he ended up on the island. He vaguely remembers water and the smell of a port city, but the only memory he can conjure about the situation is something to do with a large warehouse full of green suitcases. Maybe he worked on a boat that delivered luggage? Probably not, but that’s the best he can come up with for now
How much of your sign up characters past, name, and history do they remember?: He knows next to nothing about nothing. At this point, he just wants someone to help him get through this crazy fog. Perhaps you could scoot him around on a green suitcase? No, well alright.

Name: Cassia
Cassia is a little spacey and more than a little absent-minded. She's the type that makes all her friends fret if she'll be okay on her own. The thing is, she usually does just fine. Mishaps and mayhem may happen but Cassia just dusts herself off, shrugs sheepishly, and keeps trying until she succeeds. She can be surprisingly stubborn like that.
Cassia's not sure how she got to... wherever this place is. It's hard to tell with all this fog; she can barely see anything, let alone relevant landmarks. It's actually sort of interesting. She carelessly places her green suitcase on the ground and spends the next several moments just waving her hands in front of her face, giggling and marveling at how almost all of her movement is lost in the white haze. Eventually though she gets bored and decides to keep walking. Cassia's gotten lost so many times before that she's not really concerned; she'll eventually find her way. She wanders off and completely forgets her suitcase.
How much of your sign up characters past, name, and history do they remember?: Cassia doesn't really remember anything. It's a little weird now that she thinks about it.

Simply speaking, Roberta's.. a sponge. FIGURATIVELY what were you thinking : ( She is, like a real sponge, absorbent, taking in information (and some of the fog) easily. The problem with this is that she does have a limit, and past a point, will not retain any more information. Tell her your name a thousand times, it doesn't matter. She can't remember it! SHE CAN'T. STOP PRESSURING HER. STOP IT STOP IT /ROBERTA SMAAAAAAASHHHHHH
.. wait, what? Oh, er. Yeah, she has anger issues. Sponges simply aren't very good at application (more of the memorising type), and if faced with puzzles or numbers or simply pressured too much, she immediately shifts into berserker mode and tries to destroy everything around, though she... does more damage to herself, really. HMMM.
PS. Splashing water on her helps to calm her down.
How did she get here? IT IS A MYSTERY. DON'T ASK. SHE'LL GET A HEADACHE what do you mean she doesn't have a head/brain : ( YOU JUST CAN'T SEE IT IN THE FOG
