A Pain in the Grass. No. 001

Poster: Youngster John

“In our small town here, of Pallet, there has been a lone pokemon attacking trainers who have received their first pokemon from Professor Oak. The reason that the pokemon is doing this is...well...I don't know. The pokemon is a Bulbasaur, just...a regular Bulbasaur. I don't care what you do with the pokemon; just take it away so the new trainers aren't beaten when they leave for the first time on their journey. It's obvious that the Bulbasaur is stronger than the pokemon given to the new trainers by Professor Oak, giving it easy wins. Please, find a way to get the Bulbasaur to leave one way or another. Again I say, I don't care what you do with it, just take it away from our town.”

Now, this is what is stated on the poster. To make a long story short, there's a Bulbasaur that is attacking the new trainers of Pallet. The poster just wants you to get rid of it. You can do what you want with it, catch it, drive it away, or give it to someone. It doesn't matter to me, just complete the bounty.

-Objective:
Get the Bulbasaur away from Pallet.

-Pokemon:
Bulbasaur if you want to catch it, or a pokemon egg may be given on the mission

-Rewards:
Depends on quality of mission.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rex had just taken up his first mission. It seemed simple enough, defeat the Bulbasaur terrorizing new trainers in Pallet Town. His Tepig may not have any Fire-Type attacks but what his team lacked in type advantage, it made up in size. He already had two Pokemon, Tepig, his starter, and Phanpy, the Pokemon that he got from Sub. He hiked down Mt.Silver, towards Pallet Town. Then he realized, walking is for losers. He opened up his backpack, got out his hoverboard, unfolded it, turned it on, and jumped on. It took him mere minutes to arrive in Pallet Town.

As soon as he arrived, he put his hoverboard away and went to go look for the Bulbasaur. It shouldn’t be too hard to find a Pokemon as distinct as a Bulbasaur, but who was to say he would find the right Bulbasaur. He walked around Pallet Town and even the wilds surrounding Pallet Town with no luck. That’s when he heard a battle. He ran in the direction of the destructive sounds. He ran out into a clearing where a trainer and her Squirtle were being beaten hard by a Bulbasaur.
“If that isn’t the culprit, I don’t know what is.” Rex stated. “Phanpy, come on out!” Rex threw Phanpy’s Poke ball in the air and out came the little blue elephant (?) Pokemon.

“Phanpy!” It cheered.

“Get out of here kid.” Rex told the girl. The girl managed to get her Squirtle back into its Poke ball and ran away. Rex turned his attention to the Bulbasaur. “Ok, let’s do this!”

Battle Start!

Phanpy used Tackle attack. Phanpy charged the Bulbasaur and collided head on.

Bulbasaur skidded back. Bulbasaur used its own Tackle. Bulbasaur ran at

Phanpy and collided, although its attack leaned a little to the left, causing a little less damage than Phanpy.

Phanpy used Defense Curl. Phanpy rolled up like an armadillo and raised its defenses.

Bulbasaur used Tackle, this time hitting head on, but dealing the same amount of damage as its previous attack because of Defense Curl.

Phanpy rolled into a tree from the collision and uncurled. Phanpy used Tackle with renewed strength.

Bulbasaur slammed into a rock but got up again. Bulbasaur used Tackle.

Phanpy flew back, and fainted.

“Phanpy, return.” Rex said. “Ok, go Tepig!”

Tepig was sent out. Tepig used Tackle, hitting Bulbasaur bulb, its weak spot.

Bulbasaur was struggling to stand. Bulbasaur used Growl.

“It won’t matter.” Rex said. “One more hit and your mine.” Rex laughed.

Tepig used Tackle, hitting Bulbasaur head, causing it to skid to a stop and fall down.

Bulbasaur stood, its legs shaking, and then fell back down, fainted.

Battle Ended.

“That wasn’t too hard.” Rex stated. “Good job Tepig.” Rex smiled. “Now time for you Bulbasaur, what to do with you?”
Bulbasaur looked at him with one eye, the other shut. Rex could see the fear and humiliation in its eye. He nodded. “You deserve a second chance buddy.”

He got out a Poke ball. “Poke ball, GO!” He threw the Poke Ball at Bulbasaur. It absorbed it with red energy. The ball landed quietly on the grass. It wiggled once. Rex watched it. It wiggled again. He crossed his fingers. It wiggled once more. He crossed them tighter. Click! He caught it! “Yeah! We got, a Bulbasaur!” He cheered. He picked up the Poke ball and headed to Prof.Oak’s lab with Tepig beside him. Once he was there, he walked in to tell the Professor to tell him the good news. “Professor, I just wanted to let you know, I caught the rogue Bulbasaur.” Rex told him.
“Why thank you young man.” Oak said.
“It was my pleasure.” Rex said. He walked out, got on his hoverboard and headed back to the HQ.
