Tea long since finished, Mau had been toying with the empty mug while conversing with the other rockets he'd met with in the cafeteria. But now, the conversation was winding down, and he was ready to call it a day.

He politely excused himself from present company to deposit his mug in the basket of dirty dishes that some unfortunate kitchen staff was going to have to scrape clean.

Though he'd only vaguely noticed it when entering, Mau saw a drifblim looking at the foods. He gave a soft chuckle, and decided perhaps Nuu could be of some assistance to the pokemon in picking food. Releasing the blue balloon, he proceeded to make his way to the nearest sink to at least wash up a little. Nuu saw the drifblim and floated over.

"Blim blim? Drif blim bliiii~" She waggled her arms a the fellow ghost, not usually having the chance to simply socialize with another ghost, let alone a drifblim. Frankly, she was tired of all the eevee-line pokemon she often found on base to speak to. So boring. So as she flailed and chattered, she inquired what the other was doing staring at the food, and recommending the cake, but only if you loaded it up with gobs of mac and cheese. Truly that was a meal fit for a king. Or... well, queen, as was the case with Nuu and her new companion.

Deine had been a little put off by how many kinds of food there were. Why couldn't humans be like pokemon, and settle on just a few kinds of things? She'd toyed with a few items, pushing apples across a plate and making a precarious stack of sandwiches wobble. Usually she wasn't out when Repo was eating. What did he like? It had to be just right. She'd fainted and let him get hurt, it was the least she could do.

Oh? She remembered this drifblim. They'd played with the big ball at the raid together. A bit more sullen, she replied. "Blim? Drif. Drifblim." At least one of them seemed to know what was about human food. With one arm she grabbed a bowl that had been placed for the purpose of filling, and with another she scooped a handful of the cake up and tossed it into said bowl. The two other arms grabbed pasta and some fish. Into the bowl it went! That...looked about right, didn't it? She couldn't be sure, but it was all put out for humans. Humans had to like it. Weird-looking stuff that it was.

Maybe the blue drifblim's trainer could give some input? "Blim! BLIM!" She flailed one of her now empty arms in the man's direction. She held up the bowl, her beady red eyes watching for his reaction to the contents. If it was good, maybe he would even help her take more to Repo?

"Bliiiii~iiiiiiiiim~" Nuu gave the best sort of thumbs up that she could with her noodley appendage. She never tried putting fish in it! What a brilliant idea! This drifblim was a genius!

When Mau turned back to see how Nuu fared with the other pokemon, he stared as the second pokemon was holding out a bowl of... of... what WAS that a bowl of? "Nuu, you're such a connoisseur of food, aren't you?" He slowly walked over and looked at the unfamiliar pokemon. It... seemed upset? "Ah, your trainer... was one of the injured?" He asked. Nuu puffed her cheeks and began flailing and chattering at Mau, but he ignored her. "Taking food to him? Perhaps have the food in different bowls." Why Mau spoke to pokemon as though they were people and could respond as normal humans, no one knew. Though he did seem to be able to guess at what his own pokemon were trying to convey. Mau set out three bowls for the pokemon. He looked at the contents of the bowl the pokemon had, then proceeded to place a small portion of the three items in the bowls. "Just ask Nuu, we're picky when it comes to mixing food."

"Blim!" Nuu affirmed.

"I hope that helped you. If there's nothing else..." He was about to excuse himself from the pokemon's company as he had done with the other rockets, but Nuu grabbed his arms.

"Blim blim? Drif blim. Blim driiiiiiiiiiiifblim!" How uncouth! Mau should help the poor distressed pokemon bring food to her person! Silly human should know better! Though really she just wanted to spend time with this other of her kind.

Oh, so that was how it worked? Why didn't Nuu say so? Deine had thought she was supposed to put the pasta IN the cake! With a waggle of her dangly arms, she wafted over to a random table and plopped the mixed bowl down before a random trainee. There. He'd take care of it, she was sure.

She floated back to her new friends and managed to get two of the bowls, with two arms on each. If they spilled, she'd have to go back for more, so better play it safe. "Blim, blim drifblim." She puffed at Nuu in thanks. It would take too many trips to get all this back on her own. And surely Repo could use some company. And...it'd be nice to hang out with another drifblim. The only other one she'd known around the base was her father, Kunal. He'd followed her after her in her flight from the medical bay, but she'd lost him somewhere in the halls. Probably he'd gone back to Max.

She looked intently at Mau, her eyes growing angry--their typical look. She might be distraught, but that didn't change her base attitude. "BLIM!" She commanded, and puffed towards the door.

As if she was trying to explain it to Mau, Nuu was chattering at him again, pointing at the bowl then at the drifblim as she was retreating. Nuu floated after her, knowing Mau would follow one way or another. If he didn't come soon, she'd just... do something to get his attention later. But she had Mau trained good! He was following with the other bowl of food too.

When he reached the infermary, a nurse was trying to stop the pokemon from entering, not wanting them nor the food to cause any havoc. Mau looked at the poor woman. "They're with me. They'll behave." He said, and didn't wait for a reply as he passed her, the pokemon in tow. He followed Deine to where her trainer was, muttering softy not to spill any of the food anywhere.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 21, 2011 8:57 am

Deine floated with purpose directly back to the infirmary. When she was confronted with the nurse who barred her way, she began to complain loudly, "Blim! Blim, blim drifBLIM!" Of course, the nurse just didn't understand. Thankfully that nice blue drifblim's trainer talked to her, and Deine stuck her tongue out as she floated past, and wound her way through the rows of beds.

Some time had passed since their return to base, more than the drifblim had realized. Thanks to the swift work of the doctors (who'd shooed Max away nearly an hour ago now it seemed) he'd been sufficiently patched and reordered. And heavily drugged for pain. The little machine attached to the tube feeding grossly from his chest whirred away, the only sound in the room until the clamor of Deine trying to set both bowls down at once. The redhead jerked upright, winced, and fell back. Even with the rib no longer thrusting through his lung, that hurt.

Ah, and it looked like his pokemon'd brought friends. He peered up at the vaguely familiar faces, trying to put them to names. Nope, no luck. He knew the blue drifblim on sight, but the man..well he'd been on the raid, that much he remembered. "Sorry if she...roughed y'up a wee." He gave Deine a look. She gave him one back. "...She's a pushy ol' cow." And he was thankful for his condition briefly. Had he been well, she surely would have gusted him off his feet.

"Think nothing of it." Mau said, setting aside the bowl the 'bossy old cow' and Nuu had made him carry in. "Don't get up on my account." He added, half halfheartedly joking. Ah, he knew the sort of pain the redhead was in. "I swear the nursing staff is going to get sick of seeing me in here." Mau settled himself in the chair near the bed.

"Doesn't seem all that long ago I was in the same position as you." He thought back to when he'd collapsed a lung. It was that damn shaymin exploding at the ball that caused it. "Seems the hedgehog has a penchant for blowing up and messing us rockets up." He folded his arms, thinking. At least this guy was lucky. He didn't have Nyx making the staff bring him pudding any time he asked for anything.

"You did well today."

Repo gave as good a glance around as he could without moving anything but his head. True, some of the lingering staff were giving them odd looks. He could only assume it was because of Mau. He personally had done little more than cough and wheeze, and that couldn't possibly offend them that badly. Or maybe it was the two drifblim. At least the giant floating balloons were ghosts, and could be passed through with some ease.

"So I'd heard...canna say I was ready for it. Wee bugger packed a punch." Honestly if the ice block hadn't been there though, he would likely be in much better shape. Being blown off his feet and sent flying didn't hurt. Crashing into something very pointy and hard, that did.

He raised a brow at the agent. "Nah. No' on my account, at least. Deine though, an' Laidir too...All I did was get m'arse handed t'me by a tiny lil' flowerpot with legs. Aye?" He was very proud of his pokemon. They'd fought hard and been key in winning the day. Honestly though, two of them, the jigglypuff and the drifblim, had acted mostly without his command. At best he'd served as another target to draw the Galactic's fire from the pokemon.

Mau chuckled slightly. "At least this time, the energy wasn't contained in a room. You should count your blessings." Sitting back relaxing some, Mau waved a hand at the comment. "Nonsense." The word was spoken with a stern thread in his tone. "You trained them, aye? They preformed well, and as their trainer, you should be proud. If someone hadn't been there, the outcome could have been much different, much worse." But then when he called the shaymin a flowerpot, Mau couldn't help but laugh.

"Hey now, potted flowers didn't do anything to you. It's those vicious attack flowers you have to watch out for." He looked away, glancing idly at the charts detailing the man's condition. "Repo, eh?" It was an interesting code name. "Call me Mau." He figured it would be a good idea to introduce himself, rather than just being "Sir" or "That agent."

While the men were talking, Nuu was happily chattering with Deine. Her tone seemed to be saying that things were going to be great now! If their humans got together, the two of them could play. Mau had 'gotten together' with Nyx, and she owned Newton, her father. So if Mau and Repo 'got together' she could see Deine as often as she saw her father!

Not that she knew what 'got together' meant.

Alright, alright. So maybe he had had a hand in the day's victory. His pokemon had performed better than even he'd imagined they could. Had helped the rockets in getting the Galactics handled and getting their technology. He was very eager to hear the report on that giant mass-catching pokeball. Who knew how long it would take to reverse engineer it. More distantly he wondered what would become of the many bug pokemon it had contained. Rockets weren't apt to waste, they'd likely be distributed amongst those in need of pokemon. Or cloned. Something.

"Puh. Canna' say tha' sounds much better! Either way y'see it, I got reefed by a wee plant. Aye, Repo." He offered his right hand for a shake, wincing slightly. "Funny, ne'er imagined so many parts o'me made muscles in m'back an' chest move..." Oh he was so sure that his entire back was one big bruise on top of everything else. Had he thanked Arceus for pain killers in the last ten minutes? No? Thank you, Arceus. "So...Have I missed anythin'? Figured ou' what's gonna happen to tha' oversized pokeball?" Trapped as he was by the medical staff, and with Max gone back to their room, he had no link to the outside, bar Deine, who wasn't the best at relaying information.

Speaking of, the blimp was balefully watching Nuu. This...was one very upbeat ghost pokemon. Deine had inherited her mother's foul attitude, but thankfully Repo'd a firmer hand than Max, and had taught her patience. She had to admit it was true, Nuu's person had helped hers...And there weren't many other drifblims around. She wondered what moves the blue blimp knew. And she bet she could do ominous wind better. Repo and she'd worked on that for weeks. "Blim, blim." Yes, it would be nice to hang out some time. Maybe train. Training was fun. Once Repo was better, that was. "Drifblim?" It seemed they both had drifblim fathers. Her mother was a pikachu, but what was Nuu's?

"I saw it in the hands of a very capable agent while I was in the cafeteria." He assured Repo. "If anyone can figure the thing out, I'd wager Faleen would be the best for the job. If I hear any further, I'll let you know." He would probably get quite bored while laid up here. When his hand was offered, Mau took it gently. "Don't strain yourself." he said, slowly letting the man's hand go. "Don't need you totally deflating here."

Nuu drifted, tilting herself partially sideways, as a dog might c**k it's head. "Blim drif drif!" Yes! Someone to train with that wasn't mean or scary or a dark type. Wait, her mother? That was a hard one to explain. While her 'father' was Newton, her 'mother' was a male vaporeon, Mau's vaporeon, Aki. So Nuu happily explained it. Oh yes, she was a test tube baby.

He nodded and retracted his hand. "Tha'd be good. I'd like t'know, especially if we figure out how t'make our own." It felt a little like cheating, to be able to catch many pokemon at once. But they WERE team rocket after all. Cheating was in the mission statement. "T'think of havin' tha' many pokemon at once wi'you...Heh. T'be honest I think I'd be happy enough wi'm'three. They're a handful enough. Wouldn' say no t'a few more, but not twenty." That reminded him. "Any idea what's t'be done wi' all those bug pokemon? Wager a few of th'recruits'd be itchin' t'get their hands on 'em."

"Drif?" But Deine knew shadow ball. Didn't Nuu? Deine bobbled nonchalantly. "Blim. Drifblim." She'd been a testtube egg as well. Both of her parents belonged to Max, Repo's roommate. She pointed a wobbly arm at the dark marking on the top of her head. "Blim." Those were from her pikachu mother.

"Likely research. Though if they're of no use to us, I can't see us keeping them. They might even get let go." He shook his head. "A handful might be an understatement. But don't worry, you'll find yourself swimming in pokemon... Then you will know how much of handful they are." He glanced up at Nuu as she seemed happy enough with her new friend. Until she evolved, Nuu had be quite a handful. She still was, but she did tone down a little. Now Mau just had to worry about his chingling, Uta, and the pichu that just hatched named Que.

Nuu spun around once. Her whole awesome blue self was a result of her father. He was blue, and he had blue eyes, though her eyes were pink like her dad's. "Blim blim." She did indeed know shadow ball! It was an amazing attack, and she liked it. Hex was also fun, specially if she got to paralyze them first!
PostPosted: Mon Mar 21, 2011 6:45 pm

"Really? Somehow tha' surprises me. Canna say I've ever heard of Team Rocket lettin' pokemon go." Huh. That'd definitely be something to think about. He let his mind wander, watching the two blimp pokemon cavorting near the ceiling. In his home region there weren't many types of pokemon. Maybe twenty, thirty? Part of why he'd ventured to Kodo was to see more of them. All three of the ones he had now would be novel in his hometown, heard of, but not seen in the wild. He still wanted to see more of the kinds of them. "Wha' else d'you have? Aside from tha one. I donna remember seein' you using any others on th'raid. 'Course, my memory's no' th'best righ' now, aye?"

"Blim! Blim blim!" Shadow ball was one of the best, yes. Oh? Hex? She didn't know that one. But she knew Astonish! That one was nice. She got to be loud, and sometimes it startled her opponent so badly it forgot whatever it'd been doing. "Drif...drifbliiiim." It was good to use on people too. That's what ghosts were supposed to do, scare people, wasn't it?

"If they're useless, it might be more cost efficient to release them then to dispose of them. But that really isn't up to me." He shrugged it off. When he asked about the other pokemon he had, he smiled some. "Well, you may have seen my vaporeon, jolteon, and pidgeot. Though I doubt you'd remember my pigeot. You were pretty banged up at the time. She carted you back here, but I think you were unconscious." He thought about his others. "I've got an ivysaur... She's about as active as a potted plant would be." He paused a moment, thinking. Aki, Ran, Ire, Nuu, Mai, Uta, and Que... "I think that's all of them. For now at least. Never know what might get dropped in your lap next. If yer up to it, what else have you gotten?"

Oh yes, so much fun! And while it was indeed fun to surprise people, it was even more fun to send them on a wild goose chase! If you hid things of theirs, it was fun watching them look everywhere trying to find it. Or even just slowly moving things around in their room. A table being across the room, a lamp on the bed. The always got so confused. "Blim blim."
