UGH! Dugi had been so stupid! Stupid stupid stupid! Why did his mouth have to say things when he told it not to? Double ugh, now Theluji would hate him, and they wouldn't be mates, and that meant his visions would be WRONG. He wasn't sure what was worse, losing your (supposedly) destined love, or finding out what made you special was just a sham. Either way, he was miserable.

He plodded, head down, through the swamps. He'd put some good distance between him and the girl, and now that retribution wasn't in danger of raining right down on his head, he could try to think. There had to be a way to fix this, right? He wished at that moment that he had visions of anything else. Far off wars and violence, past events that no one cared about. Anything but mushy lovey stuff. That only led to trouble.

He stumbled, not watching where he was going, right into a deep muddy puddle. "Eww..." He sat up, half coated in the brown gunk. "Hey! That's an idea...!" Suddenly smiling, he began to roll in the mud. If he was brown, not purple, then no one would recognize him! Especially not Theluji!

The ivory male had never had issues hiding if he needed to. He didnt stick out much, or at least.. no one acted as if they saw him. He liked it though. People leaving him be just gave him more reason to sink inside himself and just be a friend to himself. Mother told him he should make more friends, but he really just didnt care to! What was so good about friends? So they could steal your mate when they got older? Or so they could basically rule you unless you put them in their place first? No, he was sure he was fine without friends. Why even today he had something to do.. The small hare he saw caught his eyes and he blinked. When it bolted away from him, his muscles tensed and his instinct told him to chase it. He didnt usually listen to instincts, because they were rather annoying and made his mind feel all befuddled. He wanted to use logic, not feeling.

His logic had been off though, whenever he chased the hare right into a pool of thick, sticky mud. Once his paws were in, he pouted and tried to pull them out with all his strength. But all that got him was further in the mud. He stopped moving, and saw another cub playing within the dirt..But he was actually enjoying it. Raising his eyebrow, the cub grew curious.
"You there." He said, but continued watching.

Dugi had been so engrossed with his getting dirty that he didn't see the hare as it came running. Being lighter, it had less trouble with the mud than its chaser. Only when someone said, 'You there.' did he pause and look up. Please don't be Theluji please don't be Theluji please don't be Theluji's DAD...Oh, good. It wasn't.

He sat back on his mud-coeverd bum and smiled. Oh yes, he was quite a mess, head to foot covered in brown gunk. A few leaves stuck to his sides. Mother would have a field day cleaning him later.

"Hello! I'm Dugi! Er...not Dugi. He just ran by though, if you're looking for him. I'm...uh...Gidu. Yeah, yeah! Gidu!" That would fool anyone out to get him. Just why someone would be after him for telling a girl he loved her though was beyond him. It jsut seemed dramatic, and fitting with how paranoid he'd been feeling.

The male that had said his name was Gudi was already confusing the crap out of him. Atticus cocked his head, looking at him almost as if he had been growing a second head. He took in the appearance of the other.. looking over from the mud stained pelt he wore, to the twigs and leaves that stuck out at odd angles from his body. It caused Atticus to look down at himself, and he lifted a paw to look at the severity of the mud caking. Shaking it a bit, he watching a few pieces fling from the black toes and then looked back at Gudi. Or was it Dugi? And what was a Dugi and why would he be looking for one??

"Ive no interest in finding someone with the name of Dugi." He responded with a curt nod. Atticus had been told he was far too logical, far too deep in thought for one his age. He was supposed to like dirt and bugs. Instead he preferred lion watching, and exploring. He wanted to go see the world terribly bad, but the idea of leaving home scared him. He was waiting until he got to go on his name quest before he explored. He figured he'd use the time wisely after all.

"Gudi, Dugi, you and yours have funny names." He responded, not realizing he was being a bit rude with that comment. He had merely meant they sounded similar! It was weird to him..
