Kouhei falls into your "cool quiet type" of guy. He generally has nothing to say, so why talk? It's not like he's a douche about it, you speak to him he'll speak back.
He's also not the type to just shrug off something. If you embarrass him or something. he'll blush and make a face. But he quickly recovers. He's learned that if he doesn't make himself an easy target, undesirable people will leave you alone! Though with his friends, he shows a bit more emotion, even smiles when he's happy alongside them.

Kouhei comes from the Kanto region, growing up in Viridian City. He comes from an average family, nothing particularly interesting about them. It's because of this boring lifestyle that he decided to strive so hard to come out on top.
It's in this hometown that he's also stuck forever with Gage, his male traveling companion. It wasn't very long before they met their third traveling companion, which completes their trio. While the boys were playing in Viridian Forest, they heard crying. Scared that it was a ghost, they ended up finding a girl curled up and crying, lost in the woods.
Thus, Yurimi became a part of their friendship. All three of them traveling together, they've grown and become something of a local legend because of their talents and achievements.
