After her encounter with Kafele the Zahama found herself in surprisingly good spirits. With a smile on her face she had settled outside the weeping lion, on one of the rocks she supposed the Ligi had been using to spy on their conversation. She could see into her own chambers and the jaw, but the real interest for her lay in how far she could see into the forest. If she looked closely she could see shadows shifting among the trees, an oddly calming pattern. She had thought to call her daughter to her, but anything she might think to say would have to be phrased too cryptically for Nandi to likely interpret. Her renewed vigor would be short-lived, she knew, but for the time being it was helping.

Dada'ntombe was lurking around the weeping lion, as she was wont to do. Sahen had had work to attend to today, and despite her offers to help (she was certain it was secret work to try to overthrow the ligi) he'd sent her on her way. Bless his heart, trying to spare her that hardship. Perhaps when she got a little stronger he'd finally let her help. Together she was sure they could get rid of those nasty ligi.
Oh, hello...looked like she'd have some company. She's spotted a patch of sunlight still lingering, and what do you know? It seemed localized to a few rocks. One of them was already occupied. "Mind if I join you?" She hoisted herself up onto one of the nearby stones. She was distracted, thinking of her grandfather...she thought she recognized the lioness, maybe?

Saengdao lifted her head toward the voice, a bit startled to find that it belonged to the princess. "My lady," she said softly, nodding her head. The phrase held only the slightest disrespect, though she hid it well. "You are welcome any time," she added, trying to keep herself from deciding in advance how the encounter would go. Her meeting with Kafele had gone much better than she expected, but then again she'd heard some colorful things about the princess. She shifted uncomfortably, trying to think of a way to strike up conversation without knowing much about Dada.

Perhaps because she was sheltered, or maybe because she was just naive, Dada didn't catch the slight distaste behind the golden lioness' words. "Why thank you." She leapt gracefully up onto the opposing rock and slid to her belly. Mmmm sunshine. That was nice. She sat still and silent for a moment, not wanting to jump right into business. Given just who she'd chosen to take repose beside, she assumed that the conversation would have to go one way. It was only proper. "How is the Atmaja house holding up?" Terribly, she was sure. "If only the pride was in as good a shape as this sunbeam, hmm?" Her ears lay back. "It's so oppressive..."

"It is a stern paw that must guide the lives of two such conflicting houses," Saengdao responded, averting her eyes as she tried to make sense of the comment. Surely the princess did not think she would so openly dismiss Sahen? Even the dear rebels were more careful than to do such a thing. "And where there is a stern paw there will always be dissidents, but I can assure you that the Atmaja house will survive and be all the stronger for it," she continued, this time drawing her odd eyes toward the younger female. She was pretty, certainly, and she could see why Sahen might favor her as it was rumored he did, but her attitude was most perplexing. She wondered for a moment if the princess could sense she was in essence lying through poetry.
