Obsidian Forest:
The Obsidian Forest rings the shore of the Golden Lake on all sides of the Mount. The forest is named after the petrified trees that have a layer of glass covering them from the thousands of years of ash turned to obsidian by the heat. The Ruby Rivers flow constantly through the forest from two volcanic peaks into the Golden Lake. The forest is home to many forgotten and lost mythical creatures that will protect their home from any intruders. All in all, it makes an impressive sight to behold by any standards.

Ruby Rivers:
The Ruby Rivers flow constantly through the Obsidian Forest into the crater that houses the Golden Lake. The rivers of lava are named for the many different sizes of rubies that can be found on the shore of the rivers and swept into the Golden Lake.

Golden Lake:
The Golden Lake is so named because tons of molten gold flow within the lava lake. It is the moat that surrounds Bahamut’s Tower on all sides. There is a single stone bridge about ten feet wide that allows passage across the boiling lava and molten gold.
