Accessories: Rather amusingly, Jose often keeps a fur-trimmed, dark brown overcoat on his person, usually in his bag. Along with this is a belt lined with compartments for storing ammunition, however while the bullets seem authentic they are actually made of plastic, and the overcoat is present only because of Jose's taste in attire while fighting.


Personality
Despite his young age, Jose is serious to a fault, a comical fault even as he is what some might call a superhero, though given the power level of his foes, he would be a low-level superhero, but a superhero nonetheless. He is a kind-hearted youth, something his classmates and teachers readily pickup and though his actions are rather clumsy and awkward, they are done with the best intentions in mind. Though he is something of an eavesdropper, it cannot be helped as he doesn’t have the social skill to ask someone if something is wrong with them, he has proven this by attempting to do so multiple times, the best outcome was a flat out “Nothing’s wrong” and the worst was a “It’s none of your damn business” followed by a swift and vengeful punch to the nose.

When not in school, Jose is usually found at home of in the neighborhood, doing chores and errands for his aunt. His aunt is far from a frail old woman, so she can most likely take care of herself, but Jose’s insistence has made her yield so she sends him off on light errands so as to give him something to do. He normally doesn’t chat too much with other people as he has to hurry to get everything ready before night falls as he has to maintain his nightly routines no matter what.

If nothing else Jose is an idealist, he believes that following his path and staying true to his ideals are of the utmost importance. And those ideals just happened to be that of an old school superhero, in a rather modern world, causing him to appear clumsy awkward despite his intentions.


Biography
Jose is of half-Asian, half-Hispanic heritage, his father, Marco, being Spanish, and his mother, Kana, being Japanese. Marco worked in the local police department and eventually rose through the ranks after years of hard work; Kana was also part of her country’s law enforcement and during a mission to capture a criminal that had managed to reach Spanish territory, the two met by chance and were eventually wed after months of courtship. Kana wished for them to live in Japan, as he could not bear to be away from her aging parents, Marco was alright with this, as he wished nothing more than for their family to be complete. However, on the eight month of pregnancy, the Vargas household was attacked by an unknown assailant, a hollow, which killed Kana’s parents, crippled Marco’s legs and fatally wounded Kana after it was finally slain and purified by a Shinigami. The doctors were able to save Jose’s life, despite him being of premature birth, but gash left on Kana’s neck resulted in too much blood loss, and she died shortly after the operation. At first, Marco was beside himself with grief, but eventually he came to terms with her death and decided to raise Jose to become a strong and dependent child, to shield him from harm.

Thus even as a child, Jose was subjected to rigorous military training, and never lived a normal childhood, but he never hated his father for this, as the man had explained it all to him and he understood them and believed in his father’s actions. Shortly before he reached the age of ten, his father succumbed to a disease brought about by an infection in his crippled leg. He was adopted by his mother’s older sister, and with the money they won after suing the hospital that supposedly treated his father, they were able to maintain a fairly pampered lifestyle. But, this did not change Jose’s resolve and he continued to train himself just as his father told him to, much to his aunt’s chagrin as she didn’t want her dear nephew to get hurt. It was at this time that he began to acquire strange powers, and it took him a while to realize that they were connected to the memento his father left him. It was something he pretended to use as a badge as a kid, way back before he became a police officer, and it was something he was able to give to Jose before he died.

Realizing that this could be what he meant by getting stronger, Jose dedicated himself to mastering his powers, his Fullbring Pistolero. At the age of thirteen, he managed to kill his first hollow, a bat-like monstrosity that had come to raid his aunt’s house after she and her friends held a party to celebrate his birthday. From there he continued his nightly rounds in his neighborhood, sniping down and blasting away each and every hollow he could see, until he was forced to increase the scope of his nightly rounds as their population in his area began to diminish. He has managed to maintain a normal student life, and has prevented his aunt from getting suspicious of him. This is ideal for him, as he plans on continuing until he has eliminated every hollow he sees.

Fullbring

Primary Fullbring

Pistolero (“Gunslinger”)
Pistolero is a silver eight-armed Greek cross belt bukcle, designed with a cross patonce motif.
  • Activated State
    It is activated by merely touching it with either of his hands. It will create a quick white spark, whereupon the belt buckle is transformed into a gun in less than a fraction of a second. It can subsequently switch between variants, as long as Jose maintains physical contact with it.
    • Pistolero’s Special Ability
      Pistolero is capable of transforming into five different guns; pistols, rifles, shotguns, gatling guns, and grenade launchers. Each gun can only be summoned one at a time, with the exception of the pistols which can be summoned in pairs. If a gun variant is broken, then it remains broken until it is able to repair itself. This can only be accomplished while the Fullbring is in its deactivated state, allowing it to collect the spiritual energy necessary to repair itself. The ammunition for each gun is provided for by Jose’s spiritual energy, as well as the surrounding atmospheric energy, in a manner similar to Quincies.
      • Pistola (Pistol)
        Dual-wielded pistols, capable of an extremely high rate of fire, second only to Gatling Arma. However, they are the weakest of the five variants and are seldom used on durable opponents.
      • Fusil (Rifle)
        A sniper rifle and not an assault rifle, Fusil has the longest scope out of all five variants and is capable of fatal piercing shots. However, they suffer from a slow reload time.
      • Escopeta (Shotgun)
        Built solely for close combat situations, Escopeta is second only to Lanzagranadas in terms of raw burst damage. It operates like a standard shotgun, the closer the target, the more powerful it is.
      • Gatling Arma (Gatling Gun)
        The least mobile, but perhaps the most effective at reducing a single target to a pile of flesh and blood, Gatling Arma requires a short windup time, but is nearly unstoppable once it begins firing.
      • Lanzagranadas (Grenade Launcher)
        Despite its insanely powerful damage, it is difficult to use, especially in close quarter combat as the blast radius could possibly harm Jose as well.


Secondary Fullbring

  1. Rapida Alma (Quick Soul)
    This technique deals with manipulating the souls inside footwear to increase the foot speed of the user. The most experienced users can reach shunpo-level speeds.
  2. Copas Alma (Drinking Soul)
    This technique deals with manipulating the souls inside a drink to help the user drink it. The soul's manipulation causes the liquid to float in mid-air and be pulled toward the user's mouth.
  3. Saltar Alma (Jumping Soul)
    This technique deals with manipulating the souls inside solid surfaces to make them rubber-like, allowing the user to jump several times higher than normal. The most experienced users can jump buildings, but the higher the jump, the harder the fall.
  4. Silenciar Alma (Silencing Soul)
    This technique deals with manipulating the soul inside an object to muffle the sounds they make when interacting with other things.As the name suggests, Shōon is akin to a Silencer for a firearm.
  5. Ocultar Alma (Hiding Soul)
    This technique deals with manipulating the user's own soul to render themselves invisible, clothes and all. Hitokurei can only be extended to the user's Primary Fullbring.
  6. Flotante Alma (Floating Soul)
    This technique deals with manipulating the souls inside objects to make them float in mid-air. The larger the object, the more difficult this is to accomplish.


Unique Fullbring

  • Cazadores (Chasers)
    As Fullbring is a technique that manipulates the soul inside the object, it is simple to manipulate the object if part of it originated from you. Thus, Cazadores is Jose’s unique ability to control the trajectory path of his bullets, curving them in mid-flight at impossible angles.
  • Lancero (Lancer)
    Changing the bullet’s size and shape, Jose is able to transform it into a round imbued with an insane amount of piercing capability. When fired, it shoots through the air at speeds faster than super sonic, creating a minor sonic boom upon exit and a visceral hole upon impact.
  • Ola Grande (Breaker)
    A fairly complex technique, it creates a dense coating of air at the very exit of the gun, it is structured in such a way that it will accompany the bullet upon fire. The dense air front will act as a breaker for the bullet, smashing through obstacles to allow the bullet to conserve energy before finally dissipating after having paved a way for the bullet. It also carries a powerful concussive force, capable of knocking down an opponent should their armor prove to be too sturdy.
  • Trampero (Trapper)
    Simply put, it will convert the explosive shells shot by Lanzagranadas into powerful mines, capable of being placed either manually or literally shot into the ground. They will explode the moment Jose lifts the restraints that hinders them from doing so.

  • Master Marksman
    Given his Fullbring’s nature, it goes without saying that Jose is an excellent shot when it comes to guns. His skills are of such a high level that he has yet to encounter an enemy that he cannot snipe from afar using Fusil. And even while using Pistola’s rapid-fire ability, he is still able to critically strike opponents in their limbs, crippling them before going in for the kill.
  • Spiritual Awareness and Power
    From his very first encounter with a hollow, Jose has understood that he needed to hone not only his physical sense but his spiritual sense as well. Thus, after years of training his spiritual awareness has finally caught up to his own exceptionally high physical senses. He has also trained himself to store higher amounts of spiritual energy inside himself, to be used as ammunition.
  • Tactician
    Though he ends most of his fight by filling an opponent’s body with holes to the point that they can be compared to Swiss cheese, Jose does employ some amount of tactical planning to his attacks. Although this usually produces the same results, at least the means of obtaining them differ.
  • Extreme Reflexes
    Along with his quick trigger reflexes, the nerves along Jose’s body have been honed through years of fighting hollow. Though they were fairly low-level hollows, it has still made an impact on him.
  • Enhanced Strength
    Since two of his Fullbring’s gun variants can be classified as heavy weaponry, Jose has trained his body to be able to carry them no matter what the situation. Thus, though he is far from possessing superhuman strength, he is at least at the same level of a seasoned military soldier.
  • Enhanced Endurance
    Similarly, he has also trained his own endurance, as he has realized that not all battles end in a one shot one kill scenario, and some have to be shot by several Lanzagranadas.

  • Lancero: LOL. This tech makes his bullets slow down/stay the same speed.

  • Trampero: They should just be regular mines that asplode when someone gets close enough. Like Mayuri's mines. Or when they get stepped on, whatever.

  • All in all it seems like your Unique ones are vastly superior to the aspect of the primary Fullbring. neutral

  • I don't think he should get a change in clothes, no matter how fitting it may be. Fullbring changes the shape of the object to give it powers, that sounds too much like a Bankai or a Res.

  • I want to know what happens if a gun is broken/destroyed. I say that form of gun remains broken/destroyed until the belt can "rest up".

  • Gatling Arma: -smacks it with Hei- Yeah, not so unstoppable now, is it?! scream You know not to use those woooords.

  • Trampero: True, true, but I was thinking that seeing as how he has max control over primary and secondary he could at least prevent them from doing so.
