Nothing and nothing and nothing again. And endless expanse of barren wasteland bordered to the east by the Razor Fields with the sea somewhere to the south and mountains to the north. Death fills the air and shadows crawl of their own free will. But here, death has befriended death, and IV is respected for no other creature has yet to oppose him and survive, alone.

The healing magic did little, to either of them. Not only did the Wastes nullify most healing magic, but Fea was covered in IV's blood, she had it everywhere, including in her wound. His own wounds, however, seem to be non-existant, the puncture wounds closing as quickly as they had been made. His entire focus shifted to Fea, "Be glad you can't feel this as much as you should." He pushed her back away from him and a burst of light and water burst from his hands, forcing through the wound that passed straight through her right side and washing over her, forcing the blood off of her before the acidic properties could do any major damage.

The numbing effect wouldn't stop her from feeling a jet of holy water run her through with the same force the metal had, but it was necessary to counteract the effects of his blood. The blood itself would likely hurt a bit as well in the half a moment it touched her skin and clothing, trying to eat everything away.

As she began to fall IV caught her and slowly began to lower her to the ground, keeping her close the the warmth he radiated, holding her in his arms. Her wounds would heal, in time, but the way The Wastes sucked the life right out from the air, it might take a while. As she lay there against him IV had a desire he chose not to fulfill, a desire to once again see the scars she carried, to touch them, to experience them. Despite this, he did not.

While she slept he tended to her wounds as best he could, which wasn't the best, but she'd heal well enough. As she began to awake he returned the smile she was giving him, "Morning..or...evening, whichever it is here. Try not to move too much." He smirked, "If you're awake enough to talk, I wanted to start helping you deal with your problem. That would, of course, entail knowing a bit more about you."

He listened intently, almost fascinated by her story, for indeed he was, few could compare to the horror in his own life, and she was one of them. When she finished he held her close, hugging her tightly, "Oh Fea...I'm so sorry...I didn't know. You have to come to terms with these memories, understand that they are in the past. I too hold some...horrible things in my past, but nothing like what you have had to endure. He can't hurt you, not anymore. He'd dead, Fea, and if by some ungodly power he returns, he'll wish he'd never crossed me. There are worse things than hell, Fea, and I'm one of them."

He helped her up and took her face in his hands, looking into her eyes, "Memories are just that, memories, they only mean what you want them to. I've been forced to watch my face ripped from my body, and then eat the flesh...feeling all of it. Its nothing to me, it was far too long ago to mean anything anymore. You can beat these memories, command them, tell them that they can't bother you, they can only hurt you if you let them. You're a strong and beautiful woman, Fea..." He pressed his lips to hers, a spark running through her as their lips met, and while it was meant to be a gesture of something other than utility, she would feel a slight pull on her magic, a link formed to let her siphon off magic to him.

Slowly the kiss ended and he pulled away, opening his eyes he could feel her magic swimming within him for a moment as the shadows of The Wastes pulled up around them. He would have taken the kiss further, but seeing as he's undead and he had eaten the day before, that might not taste very good. They slowly receeded, and the magic he had taken as well, as he spoke, "I'll help you, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes."

Slowly what she had given him would drain away to Mindblaze, feeding his unending hunger for more energy. IV himself held Fea close, almost protectively against him, running a hand through her hair. He smiled down at her, "I appreciate the offer, but I've come to terms with who I am and what I have become, we're here for your benefit. I don't think any sort of magic will fix anything...unless I literally take parts of your memories away from you by Mindblaze's power, what you need is time to sort these memories out and defeat them. I'm here for you, and if it takes a couple months, then it'll take a couple months." He paused for a moment, "Though...that brings up the question of food and lodging. I think Torment may let me borrow his house...maybe. If you can stand the sound of a married couple who are deeply in love going at it constantly." He chuckled at the thought, for knowing Torment as he did, he was likely doing that right now.
