Homework, it bores me; I hate to do such
Difficult problems are way, way too much
'quations and numbers are everywhere now
This is much more than I'll ever allow
Radicals, logarithms; I will explode
Synapses threatening to overload
Exponents, matrices; headache, oh dear!
Pain in my head growing way too severe!
Need to get out of this, how do I skirt
'ssignments and quizzes? Pretend my ears hurt!
Stay home from school and I'll surf the wide web
Waiting for feelings of illness to ebb
Maybe contract a mysterious flu
Say that I stayed home to hide it from you
But how will I disguise my awful health?
Forging a letter from my mom, myself!
This is an excellent plan to adhere
No one can ever guess anywhere near
My plans, they'll work, I'll put them to use
Coming up with the most perfect excuse!
Not to do homework. But what might ensue?
Failing? Oh dear, oh my grades will be through!
Dropping from B to a C to a D
Never to raise it back up to a B
Mr. O'Connell will think I'm a fool
Ceasing my efforts and hiding from school
Grounded by parents, I'll never escape
Taking out garbage, food off dishes scrape
Then they will confiscate my only phone
Lock me up inside the basement, alone
Darkness and rats scare me out of my wit
Never to repeat this crime I commit!
This plan I made up is now not so fun
Where do I start? Oh duh, number one.
