[This RP is reserved for those with slots in this month's raid.]

It had started out as an average day at Team Rocket Headquarters. Nothing particularly big or exciting had been planned.. certainly not any noteworthy missions. This all changed some time around 2pm.

Lore had been called off to Lucere's office and arrived back downstairs with important news. Oddly enough, rather than report this news to any of the Elites, he grabbed the first higher-ranked Rocket he found (who happened to be Hayes, on his way back to his room from grabbing a soda) and asked him to help assemble a team. Not ten minutes later, he and Hayes had Tony, Mau, Demyx, Repo, Frost, Saleen, Tambrey, Sorano, Alexander and Panther assembled in one of the currently-unoccupied training rooms. The group was basically comprised of whoever happened to be easy to find and otherwise unoccupied at the moment.

"Thanks for joining us at the last second, guys. Sorry for the quick notice but I just got back from the Big Man's office with some exciting news." Lore looked to be in good spirits as he addressed the group. His pair of Whimsicott stood beside him, looking at the gathered Rockets. "About 40 minutes ago some Rockets south of here reported sighting a giant metal ariados heading into Cypress Forest. I've been briefed on recent missions and I think we all have a pretty good idea of who's driving that thing."

User Image He was fairly sure that there was engine oil in his hair (he had been heading out of the cafeteria for a shower the call to action had come) but this was hardly the time to worry about it.

Giant. Metal. Ariados.

He would certainly like to get a look at the inner workings of that thing, but was very much aware that it wasn't the time to be thinking about that either. "Team Galactic," he stated once Lore had finished speaking, his tones soft and level. "Or perhaps to be more precise, probably their be-caped leader. What is our brief?" Obviously they would be following it, but what the Boss might want them to do when they caught up was a mystery to him. There were a fair number of them here, so clearly fairly significant action of some kind was intended, something more than simple reconnaissance. Somehow, some way, he was pretty sure that today would involve being as much as an inconvenience to Team Galactic was was physically possible...

He was pretty sure that there was oil in his hair.

Saleen had been walking through the halls when she had heard the chatter about needing people for a mission. Though she was a little skeptical, she decided to drop in and see what was up. She hadn’t had much of a chance to change, but luckily she wasn’t dressed in her favorite dress today, but rather a plainer skirt and black top, and she still had her lab coat on. Her hair was already braided and tied up, as she did so while in the lab, and she had removed her glasses and placed them in her coat pocket. Hovering on her left was Ciara, listing as if she understood what was going on, and on her right was Esther.

She watched as people gathered in the room, then listened when Lore began to speak. But she widened her eyes a bit at what he mentioned. Giant metal ariados? What the heck? Hoping for more of an explanation, Saleen decided to sit and wait, to see what other information they would be given. She just hoped she would have time to head up to her room and change into her rocket uniform before they leave!

After two years working for Seth, Hayes was quite used to the unexpected "Hey you!" Usually it was followed by "debug this" or "file that" or "get that damn Eevee out of my office." This was the first time he'd been told to assemble a raid team, and his response had been a blank look and a reflexive "Sir."

The agent's approach had consisted of getting his own Pokemon, heading for the nearest populated area - the cafeteria - and shouting "Hey! Who's up for a mission?"

It seemed to have worked.

Now he was standing somewhere near the front of the group, trying to finish his soda as he listened to the new executive cheerily address everyone. At the mention of the giant metal Ariados, the blond suddenly looked far more interested.

Demyx had just finished up a meal in the cafeteria when he'd seen an Agent walk in - blonde, glasses, easy on the eyes but he gave no indication that he went in any direction but straight - and ask the various assembled Rockets about who was up for a mission. That particular day, he had no prior commitments or work that needed to be done for the rest of the evening, and had only been planning to kick back in the Rec Room or maybe head to the swimming pool.

And when an Agent comes knocking, you don't argue if you're free.

It was quite the happy coincidence that resulted in him in the training room with ten others before the recently-transferred Executive Agent Loreven, his easy posture giving no indication to just how intently he was listening to the others. He knew enough to make an educated guess about just who was behind the wheel of the mentioned giant metal Ariados, and he couldn't help but feel just the tiniest bit eager about it.

An impromptu mission that would likely involve beating the snot out of Team Galactic? Having nothing to do for the rest of the day had never had such pleasant results before.

Repo'd been on his way for a late lunch when he'd been yanked aside and herded into the room along with a collection of various and sundry other rockets. A few he'd seen before; others never at all. Thank goodness he'd already had the majority of his things with him at the time--all three pokeballs, which were the main portion of said things.

He raised a ruddy brow at the report of the giant metal pokemon. "Another?" He asked aloud, and then to himself under his breath, "Ye'd think tha' after a while they'd unnastand tha' those screamin' metal deathtraps stan' out bigger'n a sore thumb." Of course it had to be team Galactic. Team Rocket would never be so foolish as to parade around in something so easily noticed.

He looked around at the assembled group. Would ten be enough to handle it? Probably. Galactic technology seemed more flash than power.

Mau had been quite content with working in the labs today. He'd grabbed a late lunch, but before making it back to his work, he was ambushed by some other rockets. Now, he was roped into pest control it seemed. Not that it mattered, it was still work, one way or another.

He'd heard about robots on other missions. Not that he'd been on any of them personally, and not that that was a problem with him. But luck rarely held out. So, Team Galactic had brought attention to themselves, hm? They sure were a thorn in Team Rocket's side...

Well this was surprising. He had been just walking around HQ idelly when the higher up got him to come to a meeting. Alexander was both excited and nervous to be going on another mission so soon. He looked around at the other Rockets and was pleased he knew a few as apposed to the last time. He looked at Lore and listened carefully. When the man said it was a giant metal Ariados Alexander raised an eyebrow and grinned. "Well this will be fun."

Having just been finishing up some coffee and was ready to go back to fixing up his new room, Agent Panther was very surprised when agent Hayes walked into the cafeteria and shouted. A mission was far more interesting then what his previous plans were, and it didn't take long get himself into the group. The Agent had grabbed him, and dragged him with a handful of other rockets to a training room.

He fallowed along, noticing that it was an executive assembling the group. A giant robot sounded familiar. Likely team Galactic.

"'s prob'ly the point," Hayes remarked with a glance at Repo. "Their boss is kind of a show-off." Huh. New guy? The agent took a last swig of soda and crushed the can - not a difficult thing to do with the way companies tried to save aluminum these days.

Let's see, he knew.. well Sorano, okay, and Panther, and that giant scientist looked familiar. The rest were all new faces.

Tambrey had been actually planning on some training and thus the pokeballs of Lasi and Palu were readily clipped to her belt. She'd been accosted in the corridor and hadn't actually needed to go and prepare; she'd simply followed along until they were all assembled in the training room.

The dark-haired woman stayed quiet as she listened to the reason for the impromptu gathering of... whoever could be found.
It was nice to be in the right place at the right time, she decided; this Lore person was very interesting and she felt a a twinge of excitement about the idea of seeing a Team Galactic robot.
Giant mechanical Ariados- that sounded like something worth just seeing, let alone whatever was planned.

She noted Alexander and Panther and reflected that it was lucky; she knew some people and trusted both for the most part.

Tony was not used to doing things like this, but when the offer came up, he had eagerly accepted the chance to head out on a mission. It felt a little last minute, and he couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable, like he wasn't the right guy, but he would just have to shake that off. Sure, he was a book worm and not great in groups or with 'social' things. But this wasn't social. This was work.

And if there was one thing he was good at, it was work.

He looked around at the others standing near him, taking note of the faces he did and didn't recognize, before looking toward Lucere to listen. Tony was a respectful, quiet, and dutiful sort, and he was wearing his determined business face. Focus. Detail oriented.

A giant metal ariados, hm? It seemed the others around him had already come to the conclusions he was drawing, but he would wait before drawing a definitive line. After all, nothing was ever certain until the facts were found.

At least he recognized Tambrey.

Lore nodded at Frost and then the rest of the Rockets, "S'gotta be. Nobody else'd be cruising around in something that ostentatious. Boss wants a team dispatched pronto. That's where you lovely folks come in. We don't know what Galactic's after, but we know they have a track record of hunting down Legendaries. Whatever it is they're up to, it's our job to get it first or take it from them. S'no secret Lucere's pissed about them swooping in on Team Rocket's business and stealing that Ho-Oh. He figures we ought to return the favor. So I'll tell you what.. you've got ten minutes to head to your rooms and grab pokémon, uniforms.. whatever you need. Then meet at the garage. We'll grab a couple of SUVs and get this thing done."

Repo of course looked back at the man who'd spoken to him. He'd seen him around before. Was it Hayes? Yeah, that sounded right. Fellow looked like he belonged in a lab, not the field. "Oh aye, but tha' donna make it a smart thing t'be doin'! Gran'standin' he might enjoy, but makes it all too easy t'find 'im an' show'm a good what for."

Thank goodness the Rockets had more subtle methods. Or at least their disguises weren't giant metal pokemon. Who'd even thought that'd work, anyways?

Absently he fingered the first pokeball strapped to his waist. He'd like to think he felt it wobble a bit in response. Deine had been in an awful mood lately. It'd be good to let the drifblim out for a little work out at the expense of the Galactic's machines.

Tony listened with interest. He nodded his head. Stealing pokemon was, ironically, both a pleasure and pain for the man. He was not innocent of it himself, even before he had become a Rocket. In fact, it was the act that started his career.

But when someone else did it to him and his? That wasn't going to fly with him.

He nodded his head, hand moving down to his belt. He had one pokemon with him at the moment, the same one he always had. Bruce, the Bulbasaur. He had a few others, but he imagined the most useful would be his strongest. The grass type was certainly that. Maybe he'd grab Random, his Wartortle, but other than that he imagined he was already pretty set. Ready to go.

His own excitement for this mission was surprising, a grin curling at the corner of his mouth as he thought about it. To the garage, then.
