Scheelite was feeling very numb.
He had been at the top of his game, totally settled into his new imagined role as Negaverse welcome party and morale raiser. That first party had gone good, his knee was mostly healed even if it left him with a slight limp, AND Zink had let him and his team be an extension of Queen's Gambit.
Everything was great.
Then suddenly the world was flipped upside down again. Officers were missing...family was missing. Not just any either, Wolframite was a friend from his lieutenant days, Dioptase was a recent friend and while odd (he'd never understand all her foreign ways), the blonde had welcomed her into their branch of the family with open arms and many moments of draping over her shoulder. Uranophane was...well she was her, and Scheelite was quite fond of her even if she didn't return the friendliness. Then there was Tanzanite, someone who had looked over him and encouraged him to do so much more.
How could the Senshi strike them all down in one swooping blow?
Ever since he had heard the captain was running himself absolutely ragged. He was still avoiding battles like the plague, but he had been out every moment he got (with no school, this was -quite- a bit) searching every bit of the city he could to find -any- clue of the missing officers. Time wore on and he had to wonder if not finding anything was -good- news (they were still in one piece!) or bad (they were killed and not a trace remained...).
Hopping down off a roof, the blonde plopped himself on the ground and panted. He was exhausted, eyes dark with the signs of no sleep, but he was not giving up now, he just needed a bit of a breather.
Besides, he had never liked sleep much anyway.
He was up again in moments, reminding himself that every moment he spent resting was another moment his fellow officers were stuck who knew WHERE and how dare he rest while they were still gone!

It was just after the capture, just after she took all the items from the different officers... sash, armor, goggles (around her neck), eyepatch... all of them were items scattered around, meant to throw them off the trail.
She has just placed one of the items near by... visible enough to see, but be thought as just an average object unless discovered by a negaverser. To them the items had more worth. More value.... were their comrads alive?
Dead?
.....holding on?
She felt the captains aura a moment before the flash of blond as he hit the pavement, right next to where she planted the sash. Now the larger question... did he see her? Or could she slip away unnoticed...

A nearby aura tugged at the back of his mind. Screamed, really, Senshi! You know this one! PAY ATTENTION.
He didn't. Green eyes had been drawn to a piece of fabric blowing slightly in the breeze. To anyone else it'd look like a plain piece of fabric. To Scheelite it instantly meant something more. Quietly, as though if he rushed forward the object would just fade away, the captain approached the sash and looked at it.
Scheelite knew this sash. He slowly reached out one hand to gently touch the fabric. "..D-dioptase?" The name was choked, Scheelite in disbelief that he had actually found something of theirs, and also fighting back the tears that threatened to fall. He was tired, and yet the sash offered some hope. It was better than finding nothing of them...
He pulled the sash from it's place, carefully cradling the length of fabric between his hands. Scheelite looked absolutely miserable, which was far from his normal behavior.
It was then that the energy aura registered again, and Scheelite turned to try and find the source. "...Is someone there?" And after another moment of feeling "...Lyra?"

s**t, she was discovered. Being a super senshi was great for protection purposes... sucked because your aura was stronger, easier to pin point and nail down.
Turning around, she looked into the face of her caller. He seemed... upset? Hurt?.... Well damn she expected anger, not sorrow. Damn these negaversers.... they need to have no human emotions so she wouldn't be so conflicted.
"Yo." She called, keeping her distance from the captain... in case he chose to change his mind and be pissed off instead. Damn, he found the sash. Her eyes veered to his arms, clutching the object.

"Lyra...." The tone still read upset, no hint of the anger their battles of old used to hold. "Do you...know anything about this? It's really important, I know we haven't always gotten along but please. Anything? At all?"
He held the fabric, fingers gently twirling the ends. Worried green eyes kept glancing between her and the sash itself. It never occurred to him just how much she -could- know. And it definitely hadn't yet crossed his mind that maybe she had done it. It was just a coincidence that they had run into each other here, and now hopefully she'd know something that could help them.
"I have to know how this sash got here, it's really really -really- important..."

...Scheelite was actually begging her for information?
..Scheelite. Someone whom she had hated in the pits of her heart. Her soul for the longest time screamed for his death... a death she wanted to do by her hands. He and she have had an awkward relationship for the past few months, one that seemed unlike them. Different.
All the same.. he was asking his ex arch nemesis.. for info?
"Scheelite you know i cant say anything." She paused, looking at his face for a moment. Should she feel pity for the man?
"I just cant, wont." Like she was going to say she planted it there, right? The point was to throw them off the trail and make them think these items were merely dropped...

"Lyra, they're my family. I have to try, they need me. This one, Dioptase..." He held up the sash, indicating it was definitely hers. "She's not even -from- here. How scared would you be, in a foreign land and then suddenly kidnapped or whatever it is that's going on with them? Lyra. Please."
It was choked, Scheelite finding it horribly hard to even talk about this. Sure, him and Lyra never got along well, and the times they did manage to not just beat each other senseless were awkward to say the least. But he'd been putting that aside, and now...
Now he found himself on his knees, clutching the sash like it was the most important thing on earth.
"Please." He'd always stood tall and fought her, charged in with hardly a thought to his own welfare. This was completely unlike him, and it was definitely human.

She felt that human spark too.
Boy...did it hit her square in the gut, harder than any fist ever could have. She had been punched there enough to prove this point, too.
"...Scheelite... you know i cant." She took another step back, further from the man. She knew him... his moods swung back and forth. Not only this... the man was an addict, someone whom when they wanted something BADLY enough they would go all out to try and get it.
"...Like you, i have a family to protect too."

"How is that -any- better?" He made no move, staying still in his miserable position on the ground. What a stupid move this had been, to ask her for info! Of course she wouldn't give up anything, but he was just so tired and it had seemed like a good plan!
Now he just looked pathetic, and he was too exhausted to care about his appearance.
"It's okay...okay to steal my family, lock them up and do whatever to them. They'll probably die, won't they Lyra? They'll die. And yet if we did the same tactics, we would be murderers. Vicious animals that needed to be put down for the sake of the world. How is this any different, how are we different Lyra?"
He went silent a few moments, simply staring down at the sash. Would he ever find the others? Would he -ever- be able to return it to it's rightful owner? He desperately hoped so, but he had to wonder...
"I don't want to fight any more. And..I don't mean just -you-. I just...don't want to fight any more."

"Like if you had the chance you would not to the same to the senshi. Only you would probably KILL them from the beginning." She said with more spite than she intended back at the captain. "Its all a difference of opinion, a difference of views. You view us as kidnappers, at the moment dont you? We view it more as protecting, liberating... a step needed to protect the people."
"...This doesnt mean i agree with what we are doing." She looked away now, taking yet another step to further them. 'But i will protect my family." He could at least respect that, she hoped.

"How can you even say that?" The captain stared at her, hope retreating with each and every step back she took. "How can you even say that kidnapping is protecting, liberating? I might kill in the name of protection, but at least I know it's still killing. You're a kidnapper Lyra, no matter what pretty word you want to dress it up with. You're a kidnapper, and if they die then you're murderers too, and then we really won't be very different now will we?"
The words might sound harsh, but they were given in such a defeated tone that it was obvious Scheelite was more miserable than angry.
"Go on Lyra, protect your family and kill mine. Go on and stand with your side, talking about how evil we are while you stoop lower than I ever would. I would not kidnap, would not torture...that's what you're doing, isn't it? You're right, I -would- kill. Because this is a war and at least killing is more merciful than torture. It's a ******** up crazy world Lyra, but that's a line I just won't cross."

"Do you think i am with the blood moon court on torturing people? Seriously Scheelite i thought you knew me better." That stopped her from moving, more or less? She was pissed now.
"All of your goddamn people we have, Wolframite, Uranophane, Dioptase.... everyone we have I. HAVE. NOT. TOUCHED. While they are with us. I talk with them, i dont touch them. I can not say as much for our other members, but dont you dare say i am ok with this crap. I dont agree in torture. I dont even agree in KILLING as horrible and hypocritical as it sounds. I have killed, do i enjoy it? No. I am the same in your shoes, Scheelite. I protect the ones i love. And if protecting them means killing the enemy of a WAR?"
"...So be it."

"Are you helping them get free? Or are you sitting in the homebase of the very people you don't agree with and offering them protection? You are protecting the ones -doing- it, you have just as much responsibility in this as anyone else. So maybe you aren't touching them yourself, and maybe I can't be as mad at you as the others involved...but come on Lyra, can't you see? Can't you see why I have to sit here and wonder why you do this...you said yourself you don't agree with their methods, then why fight with them?"
Fighting morals..that was too complicated a subject for him on a -good- day. Today, when emotions were running high, it was even worse.
"Torture isn't just physical Lyra. Just remember that..." Then he was up on his feet, but rather than stalk towards her he stormed over to a nearby wall and laid his head against it. If she cared to look, the tears streaming down his face were quite visible.
A moment later and he had suddenly moved his arm to punch the wall as hard as he dared to do so. His gloves ripped, allowing knuckles below to tear and bleed. It was going to smart a while, but there was at least no broken bones.
"They're going to die, and it's going to be all my fault. I can't find them, I've done nothing but look and I can't ******** find them! I've gone to the point of exhaustion and I know no other way but to KEEP LOOKING and it's going to be all for ******** nothing. ******** your justice, ******** the Blood Moon Court, and ******** this whole stupid god damn war."
He punched the wall again, for good measure, before sliding down it into a crumpled heap against it.

"I know i am just as bad as they re. You know why i stay with them? Why i dont leave and sit on my a** all day?"
"....Because they actually get s**t DONE. They dont just twiddle their thumbs and wait. And while no.. i do not agree with a lot of their methods, and just so you know... im not the ONLY member who disagrees with some methods, i stay because they have become my family. I did not brand myself to leave a cause i truly believe works. I have been a senshi for a long time, longer than a lot of negaversers and the sort, and i have seen what little has been done before the blood moon court.
"i want change, i want order, i want balance. No i have not made a move to help them escape, i will not. If they escape it means hurting my own family too, Scheelite. I am sorry you can not accept that... i truly am sorry."
"Looking from opposing ends of the war, we really are similar you know. If i was in your shoes, i would probably be just as despirate to find the lost ones. If you were in mine? I can see you protecting your own family as well."
She felt a horrible feeling... one she had never felt before. She wanted to -comfort- him. Lyra hated seeing people crying, and being as they really were similar... she could not help but see herself there. She couldn't comfort him though... but she wanted to.
"Goodbye, Scheelite." She mentioned under her breath a moment before turning on heel, and walking away from the sobbing man.
