for a long time now (and I DO mean really long) teh drawer has been craving an art tablet. Recently teh almight father person said he'd buy me one, the problem lies with, I have no idea what kind to get.
(I posted a thread on deviantART a while back and alot of people had said "Wacom Gaphire" art tablets were nice, but expensive.)
AND~ I noticed a few artists in this guild had art tablets of their own. the drawer would like to know what model, brand, size, etc about your art tablets, maybe it was total crap and you suggest not getting [][][] brand, or it was teh godly and I should get {}{}{}{} brand.
OR if you just know of any good art tablets to please inlight this CG-inept artist a little wisdom on the subject.
thank you~ heart

Wacom tablets are REALLY good from my experience, though I think I should've stuck with a graphire 6x8? oh well~ no use regretting it~ *loves her tablet despite the half-tutorial she needs*
but yeah~ Wacom tablets are really good and you can check http://www.wacom.com/ for the tablets they have~ From what I know, Intuos3 and Grapphire are le best? :3

I saw that an Intuos 4 was going for a mere $40. o__o Now, I don't know what its size was, but DAMN, when I go for a tablet, it will probably be because of price. Right now I'm borrowing my sister's 5x7 graphire Wacom. Um, it seems to work nicely...? Don't see why it wouldn't. I haven't fooled around with it in Photoshop yet, though, so I'm not sure about pressure sensitivity (seeing how my sister likes it, though, it's probably perfectly fine).

Yup, Wacom is pretty much the only way to go. 3nodding There are other decent tablet brands out there, but i think they're mostly for the ultra-professional-types. sweatdrop And thus ultra-super expensive.

=D~ my search came to an end today, for I was graced with a Wacom Intuos 3: 4x5 inch art tablet. The only word to describe it's greatness is 'sexy', and rightly deserving so. heart *dancing around room* yes, I am very happy right now. whee
