i noticed that there's another elf race that look exactly like blood elves.
except you can't choose that option for making a character. and they're on the alliance.

instead of bright green eyes, they have bright blue eyes.
and they sound different when you click on them.

like, the blood elves sound load and enthusiastic and proud of themselves.
and the high elves sound exactly like night elves.

idk i just felt like addressing this.
or maybe there is no dupe for blood elves.

are you sure they weren't just night elves?

No, she is right. They are High Elves. All blood elves were high elves (unless they were born recently from blood elf parents but they'd be too young to be addressed yet). And they were with the alliance before they were with the horde. I'm just going to link this because I don't want to ramble or mess things up.

I have a patch that allows me to choose high elves or blood elves when choosing characters on my server (rp server) but only other people with the patch can see it and it makes the high elves horde affiliated (not that I mind though because I love horde and a lot of my characters don't fit the normal mold of things).

i'm pretty sure. the way the high elves pose are EXACTLY like the blood elves and their size/shape.

plus night elves are taller and pose/stand differently. they also have glowing white/silver eyes instead of glowing bright blue.

The patch doesn't change anything about your character except for the eyes. You're still called a blood elf by npcs, the voice is still that of a belf (unless you change it with another patch but I tend to only replace faces/hair colors) and still on the horde side and it's mostly just show unless you're roleplaying or want it for aesthetic purposes. Given the same patch also unlocks the undead death knight skins for non death knight characters (which is how I got my dark ranger character too <3).

I think the link to the patch got deleted because it is quite old (about two years old). My fiancee said if you email him at grim_reaper_shade@hotmail.com he can send it to you. He's not sure if it works with cata though (our server's still on wrath).

I'm not sure...the patch uses content from wrath to make the high elf faces so it probably would not work with TBC. Sorry.
