Nemesis had plans. She lived most of her life without any, but there were these few special occasions where she knew what she wanted and how she was going to get it. She wanted to have her hand at a certain prisoner, and there was nothing that was going to stop her. The Senshi of Decay had met Uranophane before in battle, and needless to say... the fight wasn't something she was fond of. Uranophane was a b***h. Sure, she didn't have a weapon, but the woman (or man? Nemesis could never remember) could scrap fight if she had to.

And that pen. Oh, Nemesis wished she had a sharpie. She would write 'LOSER' in big letters on the woman's forehead. Sure, it wasn't a torture method, or if it was hardly respectable. But, Nemesis' forehead ached in memory of that pen biting into her flesh.... A knife would be better. She didn't have a knife (and she doubted many people trusted her around the prisoners with a knife).

Nemesis would get one later. It was already determined in her head that she'd meet each prisoner, some more than once. Uranophane definitely would be more than once. Like a good boyfriend, Nemesis took her prisoners on dates more than once before ******** them. She walked into the cell, shutting the door quietly behind her.

Uranophane would be her first victim, and Nemesis was almost disappointed that someone had gotten to her first. There was a bruise already appearing upon the woman's face. "Someone had a party. I wonder why I wasn't invited." Her arms folded over her chest as she leaned back against the cold cement wall of the cell. She'd get close and personal in a little bit. Right now, she was evaluating Uranophane's state of mind.

Uranophane, by contrast, had no plans. Not because she didn't like having a structured idea of how to best use her time, but because life in general had suddenly dropped its pants and farted in the face of any semblance of order she once had had. Tied to a chair, and constantly sore and exhausted, she did not have much to do but stare at the wall in front of her and hope that nothing else would continue to happen. She should have died. The opposition was supposed to kill her, wasn't it? So, when was that fact going to be realized?

What were they waiting for?

Sailor Nemesis had only caught the sight of one of the bruises the Captain had sustained, most the remainder fortunately covered by her own uniform. The simple act of breathing was enough to remind her of the surprise visit Ares had paid her, and that was marked somewhat by some smears of dust on her coat from where she'd been kicked in the stomach. Behind her, held tight against the back of her chair, the backs of her hands were raw and red and speckled with dried blood, some faint speckles of which remained on the floor.

Barely a day or two in, and the signs of fatigue had already settled into Uranophane's features. Her gaze was dull and aiming at nothing in particular when Nemesis walked in, but the moment she registered the senshi's presence her gray-green eyes had brightened again, following the skirt with glowering frustration.

"Last time you were at a party, you tried to eat all the cake and made a general fool of yourself," Uranophane scowled, her voice rasping a bit. She had rejected that redheaded senshi's offer for some water in exchange for a name, and now she was paying for it. Each breath felt like she was taking in sand. It was unbearable, but not replying to the likes of Nemesis would have been just as much.

Nemesis knew her strong points weren't investigation, so she'd leave that to the senshi that could draw information out of Uranophane. Nemesis was here solely for herself - there was no other purpose to her arrival than her own pleasure. Seeing Uranophane beaten and bound? If she had a thing for girls, she'd have a raging hard-on right now. Uranophane may look a little masculine, but she was still a girl, and Nemesis was sorry, but she did not swing that way. The senshi pushed herself away from the wall, striding over to stand in front of Uranophane. Leaning down, she playfully flicked her fingertips against the woman's forehead.

No pain, there was never a guarantee of pain when it came to Nemesis. She liked to do things differently - her own way. "That wasn't very clever, and here I was thinking that you had half a brain. I'm more witty than you are, right now, and that's a pity. Don't be stupid," she 'tsked' softly, hand moving to pat the top of Uranophane's head like she were a treasured pet. She was treasured, so long as she had information to give. And, she may as well be Nemesis' pet in this situation. A disagreeable pet, but harmless and incapacitated.

"I hope you were given a warm welcoming. Who was it? Requiem? No, I doubt it, the people who'd go at you first would be higher up. They probably told me, but I don't listen to them half the time. Obviously, you don't either." A brow arched itself upon her forehead, and it was apparent that Uranophane was going to have to suffer through Nemesis' stupidity until Nemesis was sated. "What'd they ask you? I'd do the questioning thing... if I was any good at it. Maybe I really should just beat you senseless, make the next person's job... easier."

It wasn't meant to hurt, but the fingers tapping against her forehead still made Uranophane twitch and attempt to recoil away. Her face bore the marks of someone who had hit it not just once, but several relentless times, some parts of it stamped with marks of blood -- presumably her own. Sailor Ares had turned her features discolored, misshapen and sensitive, to the point where even the brush of a finger sent her nerves firing into overdrive.

She was scowling at the pain, scowling at Nemesis, scowling at her own transparent reactions, scowling at everything. And moving her facial muscles made them hurt, which caused her to grit her teeth and furrow her brow even more. Nemesis laying a hand on her messed and matted hair didn't help things: the senshi could hear Uranophane give a low growl under her breath, and grind her teeth.

There should have been another quip, another retort. This was how this Negaverser worked, that much was certain after a short meeting with her. Uranophane liked being snarky. She was an enormous snob in and out of battle, and could never resist the allure of getting in the last word. So, it was a bit of a surprise for even Uranophane herself when she didn't launch into another string of insults, and instead chose to take a moment to stew in silence, her features creased with her own irritation.

Then she looked up at the senshi, and had only six words to offer:

"Get the hell away from me."

It was a bad habit, really, but when someone told her to do something, she usually ended up doing the exact opposite. In a situation where she was the one with all the power, this trait bared its ugly teeth. Her right pale hand clenched itself into a carefully formed fist, and Uranophane likely knew what was coming even before her punch landed against the side of the woman's face. Back-talking, apparently, wasn't entirely appreciated. Punching someone wasn't out of Nemesis' realm of capability. She made a living out of punching Negaverser's faces in. It was her job and hobby.

Her arm moved, folding against her chest so she could examine the fist that had collided with Uranophane's cheek. Perhaps she was looking for some sign of being tainted from having touched the woman... perhaps not, the punch had hurt a little bit. "Don't be silly. You'd miss my charming company. I bet no one took the chance to warm you up, give you a little sweet talk before..." Every word she said was mocking, careless thoughts that flitted to the front of her brain. There was no reason not to say what was on her mind. There was no reason to filter her thoughts. What was Uranophane going to do, scream at her?

Ooooh, Nemesis was so scared. She was shaking in her boots. Again she pat the top of Uranophane's head - if physical violence didn't work too well on her, treating her like she was nothing more than a dog would provoke some sort of response. It had worked already, and Nemesis was keen to take advantage of it. Grimacing, she drew her fingers back, rubbing the pads together with a disapproving smile. "Your hair is so ******** greasy."

That wasn't a surprise, Uranophane did not quite have the liberty to take a shower.

It was like magic. The moment the fist connected with her face, the Negaverse Captain sprung to life before Nemesis' very eyes. Her greasy, tangled braid whipped around the back of her head from the force of the impact, as if it felt some obligation to retaliate as the one part of her body left free to move, but all the senshi felt for its efforts was a light brush against the back of her hand. Uranophane's exposed shoulders (her armor had been ripped off) tensed and tried to launch her forward, and her legs struggled against her binds to the chair -- it rattled an inch or two across the concrete, but that wasn't how the retaliation had played out in her mind.

Her mental image involved a lot more of removing herself from the chair, wrapping her fingers around Nemesis' irritating, smirking face, and ripping that smirk clean off. For a second or two she thrashed angrily against her binds, all but snarling at her visitor. It did nothing, and there was no hiding it. Nemesis was still standing. She was still smirking. Uranophane was left with every limb in her body tense against the chair, unsatisfied, glowering.

The look of disdain set into her face said volumes about what she wanted to do to the senshi.

Unfortunately, looks did not kill.

And yet, she continued to glare. Her eyes fixed on Nemesis' hand, the tension never fading as the fingers were rubbed together. "And you said I wasn't clever," Uranophane answered, with a frustrated sneer. "You're just plain lazy. What else have you done today, besides inflating your fat head with accomplishments you didn't even make?"

Nemesis was confident that there was no way Uranophane could break free from her bonds. Tanzanite had gotten loose once, but Uranophane had nowhere near the general's strength, and she wasn't part monster either. No matter how much the woman struggled, there was no breaking free. There was no salvation for Uranophane, and Nemesis was glorifying in it. She stood her ground as the woman tried to lunge forward at her, gloved forearms folding against her chest in the perfect image of impatience. 'Are you done yet? I've had enough of putting up with your childish behavior.' is what her expression seemed to speak.

"Lazy?" there was a surprised note to her voice, though the inquiry was shortly followed by a laugh. This was rich. Uranophane was trying to make her feel bad about herself! Did the woman honestly think that would get Nemesis off her back? "Well, I wouldn't deny it. I haven't done anything else - watched one of your friends for a little while. They weren't doing so well, but not like you're any better off." The captives were being carefully kept alive, being milked for the precious information that Ares so desired.

Nemesis wanted them dead, but all in due time. "I think you're being even more lazy. Look at you, what have you done all day? Have you done much more than raise your head? Did you cry today?" Now she was just taunting Uranophane. "You are the perfect picture of laziness, so much for the pot calling the kettle black.

In a perfect, cinematic world, there would have been divine intervention for this sort of thing. Nemesis getting struck by lightning was out of the question since they were indoors, but there were still plenty of horrible things that could have been happening to her right then. Maybe the concrete beneath her feet could have collapsed, sending her tumbling down to the sewage pipe exposed below. It didn't have to end in Uranophane's escape, so long as it got Nemesis out of her face. Hell, a swarm of cockroaches crawling all over her would have been nice. Or a rat jumping down her shirt.

Nothing happened. Nothing happened, and Sailor Nemesis continued to be annoying. Captain Uranophane had one more reason to believe there was no such thing as a just and loving God. Having her in the room was like having a fly buzzing around in her ear she couldn't swat, and she couldn't even bother to stay close enough that the Negaverser might be able to give her a nice, satisfying headbutt.

For a little while Uranophane glowered some more, apparently driven to an enraged silence at the senshi's words. She was even back to doing that weird motion with her jaw again, presumably grinding her teeth, except this time it looked a bit different, as if her tongue were rolling around a nonexistent piece of candy.

After a few moments of this, her gaze returned to Sailor Nemesis.

Then she spit in her face.
