Ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ ▷▷ Dakota is a strangely calm and level headed girl for being a daughter of one of the rather moody sea gods and goddesses. But like the ocean, once she's mad there is no settling her down unless she clams down herself. Dakota keeps to herself most of the time but feels like a bird with clipped wings, she puts other people's happiness before her own and usually their happiness is her happiness.

Ｂｉｏ ▷▷ Dakota Ann Washington lived on he coast of Georgia in a beach house with a father who loved her and the ocean more than anything that the gods could offer and that same love for the ocean was the same in Dakota as it was in her father. She went out to the ocean on a daily basis and often her and her dad stayed out on a old dock and swim or fish. If they were lucky they got a nice fish dinner. But Dakota and he father's happy way of life changed changed drastically on one Independence Day, just ten days before she turned twelve.

Jasper and Dakota were shooting off fire work, swimming, grilling, and just having a nice 4th of July with neighbors when one of the fireworks Dakota shot off went haywire and headed straight for her father who was standing on the edge of the pier. Jasper fell off the pier before it hit him. See this has happened before and everyone was expecting Jasper to swim back to climb back up the ladder from the ocean to the surface. On land people where laughing, but under the water Jasper as fallen victim to a rip tide and was pulled out to sea under the water and drowned. About a minute passed before the people on the surface knew something was up. It was Dakota and her crippled neighbor, Casper, who went into panic mode first. Dakota ran onto the dock and to the area where her dad fell and saw nothing there. Casper was the next to join Dakota on the dock and before Casper could say anything she jumped into the water after her father. That was the last time Dakota saw her home in Georgia.

In what felt like a few seconds, Dakota was laying on a beach surrounded by people. Most of the people were wearing the same orange shirt in ages ranging from five to about twenty. At her head was a full grown dude with the torso and head of a normal guy and the rest a stallion. She doesn't remember her reaction to all this but she could make a safe bet that she said something like 'Alrighty then' and then she fainted again.

The next time she woke up she was in what looked like a nurse's office and out side she heard a familiar voice and a voice she never heard before. Dakota walked out of the office to find her old neighbor Casper talking to the horse guy. But instead of Casper having crutches on like he usually did he was standing up on his own and had goat legs. Dakota didn't even have to ask anything before Casper started explaining everything. But she didn't care about what he was saying. She just wanted to know about her father. Once she asked that Casper's eyes filled with tears and Dakota let out a shrill pain filled squeal. Dakota was now orphaned and to pour salt into the fresh wound, her mother had claimed her. Being the daughter of the queen of the seas and the seas being the reason her father had just died was just unfathomable. With her claiming she figured that it was her mother that had just killed her father and she had a hatred grow for her mother. Two years passed and Dakota hasn't left Camp Half-Blood once and she doesn't plan on doing so for a while. And as a form of rebellion of her mother, she hasn't gone into the ocean once and the love that she once had for it is now hatred.
