 Feeling defiant, Bronislawa scooted away from her mom and siblings. She knew that somewhere out there, there she had a dad, like her mom said. But he wasn't here right now, so he couldn't get her right now. And Broni didn't want to sit around meditating or looking at leaves or whatever, she wanted to meet people.
Besides, if her dad was as powerful as her mom made him out to be, she was practically a princess. So she should get used to being around other lions, so she would understand how they worked.
Up ahead, there was a little rivelet with a purple cub on the other side of it. Broni headed toward it.

Zuna had found herself left to her own devices yet again. Her brothers seemed busy, and her mother was doing whatever it was that her mother tended to do. So she was alone and bored which seemed to be typically the case unless she was racing frogs with Maati. Currently Zuna was working on honing her frog hunting skills for the purpose. Well she was trying to anyway, there seemed to be a distinct lack of frogs running around even though she was by some water.
Suddenly Zuna noticed there was another approaching. Zuna looked up, startled at the other cub who looked to be a girl like herself. "Oh um... hi there." Zuna spoke softly, barely loud enough to be heard at the distance the other girl was currently standing. She hoped this other girl would be nice like Maati.

"Hi, what are you doing over there? Do you live on that side?"
Broni had never seen any other lions around here - her mom kept them pretty cloistered. Usually all she saw was birds.
"I live over there with my mom and my brothers and my sister but we only ever see birds, no other lions. Do you want to play with me? We can climb the rocks and jump the stream, or we can play tagyurit, or we can play fight."

For some reason it seemed to Zuna that both Maati and this new girl talked a lot more then she did. She wondered if maybe she didn't talk enough. "I... well I live over that way." Zuna made a gesture with her paw. "With my mom and brothers." She added as an afterthought since she felt like she needed to talk more like the other girl cubs she'd met.
"I was hunting frogs...but what is ta-gyu-rit?" The word felt strange in Zuna's mouth. It had sounded strange to her ears too. Her mom hadn't taught her that game and Maati hadn't wanted to play it, so she was totally clueless as to what it was. Play fighting did not sound at all fun to her, but rock climbing sounded like a good option.

"Tagyurit. You know, some one starts out as 'it' and that one chases the others around until they can catch them, then it taps the other one and says 'tagyurit' and the one that was caught it it and they have to chase until they catch someone else. Tagyurit."
Broni loved the game. It was even better than play fighting. Lots of running and chasing and no one ended up being upset if they lost.
"It's better with more cubs, but we can play with just two. Or we can climb rocks. Or climb rocks AND play tagyurit."

"Oh... I've never played it but it sounds fun." Zuna gave the new cub a pleased but shy smile. That was another new game she could play with others. Maybe sometime her and Maati could play, maybe even with this girl. She had said that it was best with more cubs. Maybe, just maybe she could get her brothers to play it with them too, but it seemed unlikely to her as she thought about it more.
"We should... climb rocks and play tagyurit. But um... I'm Zuna, what's your name?" It seemed like Zuna should know her name before she played games with her. She started into a play stance. "Also who is going to be 'it' first?"

"I'm Bronislawa, but you can call me Broni. Or Princess Broni, my dad's like a king of somewhere. So if we ever live with him I'll be a princess. But since I'm not a Princess yet you can just call me Broni."
She looked at the rocks, and back at the other cub. "Since you've never played tagyurit before, I'll be it and I'll give you a head start so you can learn how to play. Remember you have to try to not let me get you"

"Well it's nice to meet you Broni. Is your dad really a king somewhere? That's so cool." Zuna had never met her father. She didn't even know anything about him come to think of it. Maybe one day she'd ask her mother. Maybe he was even actually a king somewhere like Broni's father. One never knew, there were a lot of places to be king of.
"Ok, Off I go then!" Zuna started bounding off, hopping from rock to rock and trying her hardest not to slip into the steam but also be quick about it. She didn't want to get caught after all, that would mean she lost tagyurit.
