Stomach churning as the elevator descended the single level between the infirmary floor and the 'storage' floor, Kofuku shifted in an uneasy manor with the cart of medical supplies with her. Pink hair pulled up into a single, low pony-tail, she bit her lip as the doors swung open with a cheerful 'ding ding'. Cheer.... now that was something she wasn't going to feel for a while. Certainly not when she was going to 'visit' this person.

Flashing her badge to get her through the doors, she was escorted down the rows of barred doors until she was brought to the front of one a good ways down. As she took a deep breath, she tried to push back all the anger, hatred and pain that seemed to have bubbled itself back up since the raid.

"Lance...." Her voice held so much venom in it, it even surprised her.

As one might expect, and his captors likely hoped, Lance wasn't exactly having the best time here. They may have treated his wound to keep him alive, but the pain was pretty much agonizing at this point.

The dragon master had little choice but to rest, not that he could do much else with his time. Although he was thankful that they let him keep his cape. Or rather, they probably just didn't think to take it from him. Either way, it was draped around him as chills wracked his body, while sweat was beaded on his brow. He felt ill, as his body fought infection and tried to heal. The pain in his side throbbing and even the bandage he wore was spotted with blood.

The man was leaning against the wall as he sat upon the cell's bed. Lying down or otherwise, he just couldn't seem to get comfortable. Yet his eyes were closed as he attempted to sleep. Tired was an understatement, he hadn't slept much since he'd gotten here.

Yet he looked up as he heard a familiar voice. "Hello, Kofuku," he replied in a strained voice.

"Don't call me by my name; you don't have that right anymore." The grunt's voice was dry, and despite the emotional whirlwind in her head she was doing rather well at keeping her poker face on. She stepped into the cell, wheeling with her the medicine, and brushed some of her bangs from her eyes while looking the man over. Even at first glance, she could tell that the patchwork job that'd been done at the caves wasn't going to do much now for keeping him alive. Lance really looked like crap... good the b*****d deserved it.

"I need you to take off your shirt, think you can at least manage that?" Kofuku's request was more of a demand and was said in a rather annoyed voice, and she parked the cart at the foot of the bed and pulled out a lamp, fastening it to the cart handle. Flicking it on, the lamp shed out a very bright light, illuminating the cell rather well.

"If you wish," Lance replied calmly, doing his best to hide how miserable he was. The man sighing lightly as she commanded him to take his shirt off.

"I haven't had it since I got here," he said while pulling back his cape to show that he was indeed without it. There were only bandages that were wrapped around his midsection, that were now stained with blood.

Once she turned on the lamp, he winced and squinted against the bright light.

"s**t..." Kofuku whispered out the words under her breath while looking over the damage on this man. Even though she hated him, she hadn't been quite ready to see this sort of injury on someone that was still awake. Oh this was going to hurt like a mother, taking care of him... especially since she hadn't been given anesthetic of any kind.

Brushing hair from her face, she reached into her pocket and pulled out two pokeballs, hesitating a moment before releasing the contents inside. "Nina, calm." She ordered as the large typhlosian started to growl once it had caught site of Lance. The other pokemon that had been released, a petite pink pikachu, jumped up on the bed and sat next to Lance, awaiting orders with big brown eyes fixated on the Dragon Master's injuries.

Once she was sure that Nina wasn't going to kill her patient right then and there, Kofuku cast one last glance at Lance before turning her back on him to start preparing for the work that lay ahead. "They should have called someone in sooner..." She grumbled a little to herself, shivering a bit at the thought of just how bad the wounds were.

Lance had nothing to say about Kofuku's comment, for he really wasn't all that surprised. He knew Team Rocket to be a rather ruthless organization, although they seemed to have become even moreso under the leadership of their new boss. Thus the red headed champion remained silent and tried to suppress his shivers. It was cold in there, and the chills he was experiencing wasn't making it any better.

The angered Typhlosion was looked at with little regard. He didn't expect to die here, thus the Pokemon didn't really concern him. The pink Pikachu was given a momentary glance before he sighed and closed his eyes again.

After a few moments though, he muttered under his breath. "I didn't know you had such Pokemon. I wonder where mine are." He didn't really expect an answer, but he voiced the thought anyway.

"Oh like you actually care, you'd just toss them away as well." Turning around, Fuku sneered at the red-headed man, then took the small pair of scissors and began to snip carefully away at the bandages around him. Slowly she peeled away to bandages, falling silent as she focused on the wound she was uncovering. What lay underneath the bloodied rags made bile rise up in her mouth.

"Hell.... they really let this go." Glancing up at Lance, she paused a moment then placed her hand carefully on his forehead. "How long have you been sweating like this."

At that his mouth turned down in a frown, brows furrowing. "You really believe that?" The man returning her sneer with an almost pitying look, which turned to a grimace as soon as the bandages were pulled away, exposing his wound to the air.

"I don't know... since yesterday at least." He had been pulled from the infirmary rather suddenly after all, and from what he could tell, he was only given the most basic care. It didn't really surprise him all that much, but it sure hurt like hell.

Lance didn't know much about medical care, but it was obvious from Kofuku's reaction that his injury wasn't good.

"Ichigo, take out the cotton balls, gauze pads, and alcohol. Nina, stand ready with Ember." Kofuku pulled her hand away from Lance and began reorganizing the cart's contest to an order of what she'd need. Snapping on some latex gloves, she opened a bottle of water and poured it over a clean cloth and turned back to Lance.

Ichigo sat on the cot next to Lance, making very soft 'chu' sounds while her ears twitched a little. Carefully arranged around her were the jar of fresh and sterile cotton balls and gauze rolls and the bottle of rubbing alcohol. Nina moved herself closer to the cot, shooting Lance a disdainful glare, clearly thinking he shouldn't be receiving treatment at all.

Without warning at all, Kofuku pressed the cloth onto the edges of the wound, applying enough pressure to cause small amounts of water to escape from the cloth before she rubbed a bit to try to clear away the dried blood so she could see what the real damage was. She was ever hopeful that it seemed much worse than it really was and she could be out on her way and go back to denying that this man ever existed.

That Typhlosion looked like it would rather eat him, yet Kofuku giving the order for it to stand by with an ember, gave him pause.

"What are you... Nngh!" A pained sound coming from Lance as the cloth was pressed against his side to clean away the dried blood. His hands tightened into fists and he clenched his teeth, eyes squeezing shut. He had no idea what she was intending to do, but using fire didn't exactly sound all that pleasant.

He spent plenty of time trying to avoid getting burned by his Charizard. It's why he carried a fire proof cape after all. Did she really hate him -that- much?

A very small smirk of satisfaction flickered over Kofuku's lips. "Oh, if you think this is the worse part...." She chuckled and shook her head, then tossed the dirty, wet cloth onto the floor of the cell before grabbing some surgical instruments.

"Unless you think you can sit still during this whole thing, I suggest you lay down. Nina, ember." Holding out one of the metal tools behind her, she waited for her Typhlosion to heat the tip up while she bit her lip, trying to decide the best way to start really working. "Just to let you know, they didn't give me any local for this; to say it's going to hurt is an understatement."

Ichigo reached over and gently patted Lance's hand, ears drooped a little with concern in her brown eyes. Nina shot a disproving glare at the little pokemon as she completed her trainer's orders, heating the metal to a white.

Oh he wasn't questioning that one bit, yet... Lance's eyes widened just a little bit as he watched the instrument get heated.

"Hold on..." he said, his voice taking on a slightly nervous edge. "Is that really necessary?" This asked as Lance tried to scoot away from Kofuku. Was she crazy?!

There weren't a lot of things that truly unnerved the dragon master, but a sharp super heated object being pointed in his direction, was certainly of them.

"Stop moving!" Kofuku glared at him, waving the now sharp and dangerously hot instrument in his face. "Unless you'd rather let this infection spread even further I suggest you let me do what I came here to do; my job." After a moment, a snort came out. "I could always have you tied down anyways, so don't bother fighting it."
PostPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:24 pm

Lance's eyes followed the heated instrument as it was waved around in front of his face, gritting his teeth. He then frowned and looked back at Kofuku, pausing as he considered her words.

"Fine," he said after letting out a long sigh. There wasn't any way he could put up much of a fight anyway in his state. He was already getting dizzy and thus finally laid down, a grimace on his face.

"I always knew there was something wrong with you," he muttered under his breath.

"Such a high opinion, coming from a traitor." Her voice dripped of sarcasm of Kofuku turned her attention to the wound, beginning the painful procedure of burning away the infected flesh and letting the hot metal cauterize the fresh flow of blood. It was slow work, and it took most of her attention, but still she kept an eye on Lance and his facial reaction.

Finally, she pulled away and put down the instruments; she wasn't done, but her eyes were starting to hurt from having focused to hard, and her mouth was dry. Opening the bottle of water from before, she took a long drink, then paused a moment before sighing and holding out the bottle to Lance. "Don't think of this as me being 'nice' my job is to make sure you don't die during this."
