In the dark of the night, the evil creeps out of people. It brings them to their savagery, their true natures, their darker sides. Under the mask of night, violence lives. Faults are blameless in the absence of guilt. The blood roars in your ears when there is silence in your eyes, hearts racing with adrenaline.
A wicked, haunting cackle echoed through the night of pulsating life, resounding round the volcano's caverns, dissipating into the thickness of the jungle. A hyena had made her way to the demon lands, a land of lions only, where she would surely be ripped apart on the spot. What a more perfect place? Pain was key to life, and suffering was a gift. Without pain, there could be no pleasure, and thus pain created pleasure. These were dangerous lands, led by hell's evil, deep within the volcanic heart of the pride, so surely there would be much pain.
Asuen Kipeys could feel her spine already tingling with anticipation. With a yelp of cackling delight, she lept across the border, rubbing her scent on the soil. They would find her soon.

Gentha had been lazily making her way home from a stroll in Rogue Land territory when she heard the unmistakeable laughter of a hyena. Her eyes narrowed and she tested the air, picking the scent from the beast in the area. What was a hyena doing on their lands? Sure, on occasion some poor creature would make the mistake of crossing over, but it was never a hyena. They would pick up the scent of death quite quickly here and stay away. This one must be daft.
It didn't take Gentha long to locate the intruder nearby. Another tick mark in reasons why the pride was going down hill was this hyena's still breathing body. If she were those who patrolled it would have been long dead. Thankfully, she had managed to catch it on her way back home and approached it from the rear, outside pridal lands.
"What do you think you're doing here?" Gentha hissed low, her brilliant blue eyes piercing through the ever-present darkness.

The place smelled smokey, but not burnt. It was a robust kind of scent, a heavy musk. She was unused to this, but could draw its origin from the volcano. If this was hell, then she came for eternal suffering. And it would be delicious.
Asuen spun around nimbly, and glowing blue eyes met her own gleaming green ones, a wide smile splitting her long muzzle. Again, she cackled, almost dancing with eager anticipation before this demonic stranger. How peculiar that she had shown up behind her, as the border was right there, but it was no matter and she gave it no second thought. Wherever they were, something was guaranteed to go down, and that's all that mattered. Oh, how she had been longing for this. Before her stood a dark, hissing, true demon. There was no doubt in her mind that this would be good.
"What do you want me to be here for?" she growled seductively at the lioness, her words dripping like honey. The stranger’s coat had markings almost like smears of blood - it was a promising subtlety. Asuen could already taste such blood on her tongue.
